  1. I hope we will see a Metal Build Strike Noir sometime next year. I am not the biggest fan of Seed but I always liked the Strike Noir.
  2. Awesome Thursday haul from HLJ! Thank you USPS for the excellent shipping, from Japan to Michigan in three days via EMS! I have been looking forward to the Metal Robot Spirits Zeta plus C1 since it was announced and really happy they are doing an S Gundam. Going to have a nice display when I get my second Zeta plus from Eknight. The dragonzord is heavy, you can feel the chogokin. Had to get the Figma hunter, Bloodborne is one of my favorite games. The Eva was an impulse buy but I have a good display in mind. Have it go up against the 6 or 7 mass production I have been slowly amassing. And snacks!!! Huarry for weekend plans!!!
  3. None of the Metal Builds in my collection have gone floppy. The only suit I heard going floppy is the Freedom gundam, but I am not speaking from firsthand experience. I think the recent releases like the F91 and Astrea have almost been too tight, specifically for the hip joints. You are correct that the Metal Builds are heavy toys and do not have ratchets, but Bandai has done a really good job with the tolerances. I have my first release Destiny in an extreme two hand pose with the sword and it hasn't drooped (knock on wood). My Gold Astray has had her wing displayed out with no issues either. If you do get an Exia Metal Build be careful around the yellow fins on the collar. They could break easily. And I some of the weapons holding hands are too tight use low heat to loosen them. I had that problem with my Destiny Gundam and it avoided stress marks.
  4. I would recommend going with the Type C / Type C-5. It is the most recent HG Zaku and will probably look the best without painting. The building and articulation will be superior to the ground war set, which came out in 2009. Plus you get a lot of weapon option with this kit if you are thinking of army building. The thunderbolt kits don't look bad but the they do have a lot stickers, something to keep in mind if you don't like stickers. And the suit will be back heavy with the larger backpack. Hope that helps.
  5. That would be something to see. If they are doing the Hygogg I hope we see the ZGOK-E and Kampher also. I would love to have the whole team. Might need to pick a few of the GM Cold type, mmmm..
  6. Is D Amazing in Japan? I always wondered how he get his stuff so fast. My other idea was time travel. I have the Iron Spider and Eva unit 1 on pre-order. Very excited to see Mafex have the Eva license considering Revoltech is really the only company putting out Eva figures. These will be my first Mafex figures, I hope they don't have any issues. I have watch some reviews and it seems there quality have improved with each release.

Come on Bandai, announce we are getting the Tomahawks this christmas.
  8. Messer's VF-31 is up at HLJ: https://hlj.com/product/BANS55013
  9. The HG Woundwort looks really good. So happy I have this on pre-order.
  10. Just got my GFFMC Wing Zero! Weirdest shipping "box" I have ever gotten from an ebay seller. The actual Bandai shipping box was bubble wrapped and in perfect condition. No big dents or crushed corners. Can't wait to get home and open Wing Zero up!
  11. The pre-orders went quick. I regret not jumping on the pre-order when I had the chance but "non-refundable deposit" always puts me off.
  12. I used the 20% ebay coupon plus $120 in credit card rewards which got Wing Zero down to $250 with shipping. I figured it was now or never. Really hoping I get by Friday. The Avalanche Exia and F91 are awesome. Be aware of the small yellow fins on Avalanche Exia's collar. They can get snagged and break easily if you aren't paying attention.
  13. That sucks dude. I hope the Wing Zero was ok and only the box was damaged. I recently bought mine too from ebay with the 20% coupon and didn't even think a seller would mailed it that way.

    Very nice diorama!
  15. Lol, yeah those Metal Builds are addictive. I can't wait for the Crossbone Gundams to up for pre-order. The Metal Composite is good with the most recent release, Wing Zero, being the best. I have the Banshee with the Wing Zero in route to me. With Banshee the plastic quality seems more delicate and fragile than the Metal Build. Not "you look at it wrong and it breaks" but a little thinner and very glossy. But the Banshee does transform so I am guessing that is the reason. One of the main differences I have seen are the amount of decals. The Metal Composites are always done up like a Katoki Master Grade, tiny tampo decals all over the figure.
  16. Excellent pick-up! I got Noir when he was releases and still love him. Maketoys did an excellent job with this mold and still need to get Striker Manus. Rioter is great also, I would recommend him, but the he is gappy about the chest. That is the only issue I have with Rioter. Looking forward to the Galvatron they just teased.
  17. And I thought I was making it rain when I pre-order two P-Bandai HG Ground Gundams. Lol.
  18. Just got my HLJ shipment at work. Can't wait to open the Lancelot.
  19. Hacchaka's review is up. http://blog.livedoor.jp/hacchaka/archives/52026296.html#more
  20. I got the very last one, I think, during the wave of pre-orders. I was looking for the second batch and noticed the first batch was still up on their site. I placed by order with the first batch and afterwards it went from "available" to "sold out". The shipping method is Fedex International Economy, I am hoping to get next week.
  21. Big in Japan has shipped my Metal Build Astrea! Woot Woot! Can't wait for the tracking information to show up!
