As far as I'm aware, none of us here at MWF who ordered from them got theirs. If you spoke to others and they didn't get theirs, either, that raises some questions... Some (I want to say a slim majority?) CDJ customers got theirs, but like NY and MK and presumably others, some customers didn't. --- Anyway, heard back from MK. The gist of it is: - If Bandai decides to do anything, MK can't talk about it before Bandai does. (Understandable.) - If Bandai reproduces this toy, MK will offer it for sale. - If MK offers it for sale, they will give priority to... me, at least, and presumably all other canceled preorder customers as well, as well as offer a (nonspecific) discount on price plus shipping. (Dunno if this will hold true, I wasn't and won't be expecting it to hold true, but I'm certainly not dissuaded from giving them another go either way.)

What is the "release date" for NY? Would the Paypal preorder deadline be 20 days from that, or 20 days from the initial Bandai release date (3-15-2018)?

They did do a bang-up job on the Jaeger names, didn't they? Shame they didn't do the same for the characters. Jake Pentecost? Couldn't at least have gone with Jacobi Pentecost? Say what you will about the acting, but Raleigh Becket is a great name. All the first movie's characters had great names. Jake, Amara, and Nate... just don't compare. Still, all this positive feedback makes me want to see it again now. Gonna try and snag a cheap seat this weekend.

Just sent Mykombini an email asking if they could provide any insight on whether Bandai is gearing up a second production run or not, and whether they would be taking orders again if so. It's a long shot, but it's not as if I have anything to lose from it.

Wasn't it remade for 3DS under the Assault Horizon name? Oops, I stand corrected. AC2, not 3. (I coulda sworn, though...) Both of them ported to Switch... Hm... The PSP ACs would definitely be good candidates for remasters/remakes as well. They already look and run great on PPSSPP, all they would really need is a texture update. Plus the unique fighters in Skies of Deception are all really cool. I just want my Strangereal aerial soap opera, damn it!

To the manga? I don't even know now, it's been so long since I stopped reading manga... To the original show? I bet Funimation'll be right there, blank discs in hand, ready to port the entire mega-franchise over.

I dunno, holding your money and other preorder items hostage seems pretty dirty. EDIT: BUT I don't have an actual dog in that fight, so maybe I should just shut my mouth.

Yep, Mykombini refunded me too. I find it hard to fault them, though. It really does seem pretty obvious to me that Bandai shafted everyone on this specific item for whatever reason. EVERY store was and is having problems getting sufficient product, and again, only on this specific item. People are talking about receiving other preordered items before and after this fiasco from the same store - NY, Mykombini, CDJ, etc. - without any trouble. If there's any fault to find with the stores, it's in their less than proactive response, some more so than others. Waiting a little while, talking to the supplier, trying to get some sort of fix in order, that's fine. That's what I assume these stores were doing. However, keeping completely mum to the customer, that's kind of... like I said, less than proactive. If there's one thing I've gleaned from this, it's the importance of customer service. Mykombini, all things considered, has been fairly decent about their communication with customers. The refund email I received didn't skimp on the reason why they're refunding people. I'll probably try them again sometime (maybe for the (hopefully) eventual Arad 31A or Alpha 2 31A), which is more than I can say about NY. They seem downright antagonistic in both their customer service and company policies. "We'll give you zero communication if possible and intentionally vague canned responses if not, and we're only too willing to hold onto your money without giving you what you paid for, but if you dare call us out on our shitty practices or open a Paypal dispute we'll cancel all your preorders, cut all your rewards, and possibly close your account." Yeah, I know where I won't be taking my money anytime soon.

Methinks (or mehopes) it must have been a human error, since the page has been completely wiped. Likely they were trying to delete it but clicked the wrong button(s). Is this common practice for them? ie deleting pages for discontinued items? Hopefully this means that they've finally received their stock and will be sending them out by the end of the week. If not, I'll send 'em a query and get back to you all with their answer.

She changes it to "Watashi no uta o kike." From what I remember, watashi is non-gendered, though I hear it used more by females than males (in anime, at least). It's taught to non-native speakers (like me) as the "general-use I." There's also boku (male), atashi (female), ore (male), a bunch of other variants besides... Recent case in point: -

That really sucks, I'm sorry to hear that. I haven't gotten a similar or really any message at all since the payment request past Friday. Still holding out hope, but not much... They seem to be the only one who's done it multiple times... I think? I know I saw one CDJ order canceled, but I don't remember any others. To be fair, it's squarely a Bandai problem. The preorders closed in late November. The number of orders they had was locked in - plus or minus a couple dozen, maybe - for nearly four months. It's not the store's fault they didn't receive the supply they were promised by the manufacturer (because again that was the whole POINT of making this TWE). That aside, I'd be lying if I said I didn't also feel some consternation about buying from Mykombini in the future. Dunno why your comment got a downvote, but for me, I'm currently leaning more towards the latter than the former, considering other stores are having difficulty fulfilling preorders as well.
