  1. it should work now.
  2. use original post, link fixed as fixed as i can get it.
  3. here's an animation i've been working on for the last couple days. i hope it works for you guys, enjoy. (btw the model i used is not mine, i downloaded it from the creator, i don't have his site on hand, i'll look for it, it's name is Character B and it is a great rig!) CharacterBKick try saving target as if it gives you problems
  4. not sure how this will sit with the mods
  5. i wish there was only the SDF Macross from the show, with the battle ship and carrier stuck to it. soooo many more style points. if you ask me, that thing in the title post looks like the megaroad sdf 2.
  6. mostlikely, what you have isn't even a real black light. if it's one of those bulbs you get at the party shops, it's probably just a purple lightbulb. honestly though, uv lights are kinda weak. do something cooler like a bright red light :-P
  7. those tech drawings of the gundams hurt my eyes... his technical skill is unquestionable.. but i think those drawings are way over done. there isn't a single square inch of open space in those things, and trying to convince me that all that flashy armor has functional bits of random gysmo stuffs in them just isn't working. he'd do well to throw a little contrast in there, ommit some bits and make it actually look like there are peices missing. every bit of those robots he's imagined crammed with tiny mechanics n stuff. like in the first drawing shown, with the big arm booster/sheild things, there are what appear to be simple exhaust vents or something, and he makes it look like there are 50 moving parts in there. eh.. impressive, very impressive skills, way over done.
  8. "is it practical" no no no no no no no no even IF it were possible.. which it isn't.. IT SURE AS HELL WOUDLNT' BE PRACTICAL. seriously now... if you wanted to debate how possible or cool a real valk would be thats fine, but this thread asking if its practical makes me feel like an uber star trek type psyco nerd. its not. no. stop. cease!
  9. again i find myself agreeing with Agent ONE, and all his greatness. i've never seen M7, but I'm willing to accept it for what it is and give it a watch through. But I agree with his philosophy that it probably shoudln't be the "first" Macross that someone watches... it's too out of the formula, too bizzare and way too polarizing. Personally i think people should watch the Plus, then the SDF, then Dyrl. MO and M7 are way low on my priorities.. respect my prioritai !
  10. what you mean exactly? you mean actionfigures? the yamato 1/48 has some of the best proportions in relation to line art, and it carries though all three modes.. if you're talking about proportions in the show.. then you'll have to be more clear what you mean by "best and accurate" since (i hope we all realize) the VF's arn't real planes there isn't much to compair them to.
  11. this is an example of a character driven story. the actual plot of the movie seems less important than simply watching how the characters deal with things. I like this type of film. Crouching Tiger was the same way.. i just really don't care how things with Jade Fox turn out, i want to see how Li and his Girl deal with the advercity.. not so much if they conquer it or not. Star Wars is a plot driven movie.. where the happenings in the world are what i want to see, and i'm given a cast of cool characters to make sure i see it all. In StarWars i always hopeing to see the next cool event in the story, and rarely care who's experiencing it. Sky Captain i could care less what happens in the main plot, i just want to see them get on each others nerves again... so its not so much that the story sucks, its just that the story is secondary to the caracters. GREAT films have both.. like Blade Runner or 12 monkeys
  12. the look on pollys face at the end sold me. my directing teacher hates this movie but i liked its style and un-ashamed randomness. half the laughs we got were from "wtf is that" moments. most movies it woulda pissed me off but this one did it on purpose without feeling forced. very cool. "lenscap".. my new favorite punchline.
  13. AND I'LL FORM THE HEAD. that's an intresting order to form up in.
  14. wtf is that zelda noise? i JUST recently played through zelda.. i don't recognize that sound.
  15. Dunno bout you man but I ain't never happy about toynami's price and suspect quality. It does look nice but it ain't perfect, a must buy@50$ but a definite pass or wait n see for 150$ i mean in general.
  16. honestly, this is probably why you should NOT want to see it made then. tv is notorious for butchering the HELL out of books and serise. VERY unlikely that a tv show will do any source material justice. if you want a tv show, hope for something tailor made for tv, and that it doesn't suck. or be like me and sell your tv and be happier than ever.
  17. i was always under the impression that the red and green lions were a bit smaller than the yellow and blue ones. i mean... sure they are all the same size in lion mode in that one pic, but i'm pretty sure that was just lazy animation. arms are smaller than legs, it makes perfect sence the green and red lions would be smaller. you people! be happy damn you, just .. be... happy... ! (me too, i need to be happy for a change)
  18. old skool voltron! voltron.02
  19. try looking at some of his older, more cartoony stuff, he definately can do more traditional work. i've always loved his work ever since final fantasy 6 (3 in u.s.) this is a bad example cus the figures are all covered up
  20. bit of a closed minded attitude don't you think? considering the american rewrite of this show is the only version that is popular (even in japan) i think that this figure is from america is fitting. even just calling it voltron means you are accepting the american version (the japanise version is called "golion") just something to think about.
  21. alot of people have talked crap on this, but i think it LOOKS good. toynami does have their qc issues but from the looks alone this thing looks pretty sweet.
  22. amano is one of my favorite artists, probably a toss up between him and Sam Keith (the maxx). great to see him still doing this stuff.
  23. SpacePirateNeko: Man i feel, almost word for word, exactly how you do. i'm actually in colege for animation and digital illustraition and i feel way outa my leage. i'm totally unsure of myself and I just totaly related to what you had to say. I go to Cogswell Polytechnical in Sunnyvale near San Fran. Might want to check it out they have some good programs (and a great new president). (art schools are a definate place to hide any kind of approval for the miilitary.)
  24. i think i'm done with starwars forever now. i hope you guys like the DVD's if i ever see another starwars movie again it'll be too soon. MEH!
