  1. Whats laying on my bench? An "assembled" Bandai VF-31 and a Hammer... I'm torn between which to reach for
  2. yeah that little white panel the clicks on last under the wing that covers the shoulder joint...grrrr. The real unfun part will be this weekend when I have to now pull it all down to paint it up, decal it and fit up the mounting magnets... then reassemble it. When the Hasegawas arrive these nightmares will be coming down off the wall, be getting packed the tannerite and taking a trip to the range.
  3. well just finished the first of my Bandai VF-31s and I HATE IT! I bought it to display as Fighter only and its such a fiddly pain in the ass to get it all to sit with nice tight joints! Its Taco Tuesday on a Friday... RELEASE THE KRAGLE!!! Anyone else notice the 31A Kairos uses VF-30 Chronos Wingtips? Should be a no brainer to turn a 31J into a 31A
  4. SAL takes about a month to get to me in NZ EMS about 4 days
  5. What it looked like the day the dropped it off... What it looked like after a few weeks after some budget cuts... birds already starting to feel at home on the tail... Ahhh the unloved life of a trainer...
  6. Maintenance, optional
  7. ARRRHHHH STOP!!! Mine havent turned up yet! Itching to get into these for a MKII street fight scene
  8. I like your commitment! Dont forget Admiral Piett in mid lead off the bridge walkway.
  9. what you need is to model a diorama of the moment an A wing passed through the Executors Bridge...
  10. Not sure. Going to have to watch the whole movie now I think.
  11. yeah its what used to be called lamp oil before kerosine took over. White Spirits is what we use to clean up any grease and oils off a surface before we hit it with IPA then apply vinyl graphic wraps too.
  12. Florys rocks! and is sooooo easy to use
  13. hmmm I see Amazon has a few Chara-works super packs Valks... wonder how easy it is to fit them to the GiMIX VF-1S... just need to carve off the leg and arm packs. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FM1E9PY/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me=
  14. yeah I've seen them, thinking about desoldering the SMD chip and mounting that in the feet and leaving the circuit board (which only has the resistors on it) back in the body or under the diorama base
  15. 5v, its the amps that go up not the volts. So say one servo rated at 5v, 250milliamps at full load is combined with another thats still only 5v BUT its not at 500millamps at full load (full load meaning the servos are working their hardest). Think like you PC power supply. They all output 12v but its the Watts that needs to go up with each bigger graphics card, set of fans, lights, new cpu etc. your board will say what its output will be in volts and milliamps as will your servos and the LEDs
  16. or breaking out the dremel....
  17. lol dont thank me, different country and we spent our time cleaning up your countries ordnance that failed to initiate
  18. Are you running the GiOP11 Engine Light Packs? Anyone tried the Light Packs with the Gerwalk legs? I've ordered 4 sets of the light packs and want to try cramming them into the Gerwalk legs. Going to have a go at repainting and battle damaging some too.
  19. what you really need is patience, an acceptance that all your gear was made by the lowest bidder, that officers are idiots and the high tolerance for stupidity, crap weather and zero notice to move taskings. Martial arts wont help in a gunfight but maybe a bar or sports field inter unit brawl and being a good shot it a bit different when rounds are heading back your way.
  20. As long as its not a tiny single strand wire. Same gauge as the servo leads should be ok
  21. not yet, miles off my old standard from 10 years ago. Havent painted a mini since then so will be repainting all of them until I'm happy and have relearnt everything.
