  1. Bought 3 of them online. Bought the other two while I was in Japan last year.
  2. I probably couldn't convince the wife to go but I'm tempted to do it.
  3. From what was said by Orson on tfw2005, it appears as if Prime will NOT have the yellow on the face like most of us hate. Here's the link to his comments...
  4. If you've got a PS2 or Xbox there are probably ways to do this. Might look into those. I'm wondering if my laptop would play them. I do have S-Video out so I could hook it up to the t.v. Hmmm. Korean anime? I can have my wife translate! (though I'm guessing there's subtitles) Still, perhaps this is the way for me to practice my Korean (which just about sucks due to lack of practice)

    God Help Me

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I haven't bought too much this year. Unicron and reissue Skywarp are the only things I'd gotten this year until the Elint and Ostrich came out. Haven't seen a 1/48 I'm really interested in yet. Not real big on the 1/60's in general (the VE-1 and VT-1 being special cases) Looks like I'll be in a good position for some of the stuff coming out later this year
  6. A delay means I can just worry about finishing up picking up some of the Macross and Transformers stuff I want to get. I certainly don't mind the delay.
  7. Well... laptop and saving up for having a kid (they're kind of expensive from what I've heard ).
  8. Not sure I could get away with that. Selling the laptops really isn't an option either. Though it is nice to be posting this on a wireless ethernet card while sitting in my living room watching t.v.
  9. I really don't want CD's anymore. I want digital music that I can download. I don't want Apple's solution, either. I want digital music I can play wherever, whenever I feel like it without someone telling me that I can only play it on 3 devices. Let fall the RIAA says I
  10. A 1/48 Ostrich would make my day. The armor would be really nice as well, though. It was a tough call. As it is, I'm going nuts awaiting the email from BBTS that my cc will be charged for the both the 1/60 VT-1 and VE-1.
  11. Looks like I'm probably not gonna make the trip this time The House Finance Committee has spoken and has determined that funds are low to the recent technology purchases (two laptops ). KROQ Inland Invasion tickets and a trip to Vegas this month are also to blame for the lack of funds, a House spokesperson commented. On the plus side, funds for toy purchases have not been affected by the surprise purchase Have fun shopping, guys. It sounds like it should be a blast! Perhaps I'll be able to go the 2nd annual HK Shopathon
  12. Hey. EVA air is from Taiwan, new airline (about 10 years), quite nice IMHO. Make sure you get their Economy Deluxe class (which is a business class seat with economy class food/service) CHINA Airlines is also from Taiwan...oldest airline of Taiwan, and with the most accidents records...I usually don't fly them... Also JAL is fine...u should try Malaysia Airlines, or Thai Airways, or even UNITED...they have some good pricing with restrictions. We hope to see you in HK in 04! Paulo Hmmm. Priceline might be the way to go, then. Of course the bummer is that I don't know what airline I'd end up with JAL is tempting, though. Their food service was wonderful and they were coming around pretty often with green tea. Plus each seat had its' own t.v. screen with the little remote thing to play video games and such. Of course, the whole idea of going has to pass the House Finance Committee (aka, the wife).
  13. Anyone going to try priceline'ing airfare? If I can go, I'm thinking of trying this route to see what I can get. Best I can find from LAX to HKG is $687 with EVA Airways (never heard of them). China Airlines was $689 and JAL was $783. I must say that JAL was great when we went to Japan last year so it's tempting to just go with them for the excellent service.
  14. Uhhhh, Graham, you're forgetting one very important positive about the shops not opening until 1pm; hangover recovery time. If there's to be lots of drinking going on there needs to be appropriate time to recover from said drinking All in all I'd say the shops run some pretty idea hours for the group
  15. Ya know. The wife and I were tossing the idea around of Japan in January since it's my birthday. I had to remind her that the weather wouldn't be ideal, though. Shopping in H.K. for Macross stuff? I could be up for that as a birthday present How about a little more info on why January's a good month to hit Hong Kong? I might have to give this some serious though.
  16. I certainly wouldn't mind Yamato doing most/all of the destroids. I'd have to pick up at least a couple of them and I'm sure others would pick up more of them. Hell, why not pick up Mospeada and Southern Cross while they're at it? Give me no reason to bother with Toynami, please!
  17. November's fine. Gives me a chance to get some other purchases through first
  18. Picked mine up at the Target in Northridge, CA on Corbin & Nordhoff. Last I'd checked they got some more in (I'd gotten the last one at the time). Might be worth checking out. A lot of sightings of Unicron seem to be at Target.
  19. I'll definitely be getting one of these. Sideswipe was my first TF as a kid and ever since, I've been fond of him (in a platonic way ). Of course, I really should pick up one of the original's as well ...
  20. Ugh. That thing's hideous. Scorponok wasn't too bad at first but it's getting worse as I look at it more. And Orson is saying that they're going to steer AWAY from realistic vehicles. What are they smoking at Hasbro? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of Looks like I'll skip these guys. I may just not bother with Energon at all and stick to the Alternators. My wallet would certainly appreciate it
  21. They're out!? Argh!! Now I get to wait for that email from BBTS that I'm being charged for them. Hmmm, I guess I shouldn't keep hitting reload on mail should I?
  22. 1/72 = 0 1/60 = 1 1/48 = 0
  23. I've got the Family Guy set. That's probably all I'll bother with as I was never as big into Futurama or Simpsons. Now if only they'd have put all the episodes in the first set! I wish that show was still on the air. Pulled too soon
  24. Same here. With Scott's being the most popular it seems, I'll pre-order that one and see how I like it. If it's good, I'll get the others. If not, probably just get the Shadow and Beta since there really isn't much in the way of toys for these two.
  25. Hey I don't follow the Transformers because I think the plotline is lame-ass, but aren't they all supposed to be 80's cars? That is a viper! I don't remember a Viper in the 80's show. The Transformers made in the 80's were 80's cars. The ones out now are of vehicles out now.
