  1. Frankly I hope the toy collecting market does crash so I can find toys in stores instead of having to go online or Ebay to buy my action figures. I hate how as soon as new Star Wars or Marvel Legends figures hit the shelves, they're gone in a week or less. Just because I want Republic Commando Scorch action figure doesn't mean I want to pay 2 or 3 times the store price for it.
  2. If this is true, awesome, though I still need a MP Megatron to fight with MP Optimus.
  3. I'm all for cheap Macross, especially with Yamato throwing out so much stuff, its not even summer yet and I gotta buy 1/48 GBP and at least one of the two "limited" valks AND possibly the 1/60 VF-0S. Man, now we got a low-vis GBP too. Not that I'm complaining Yamato; where's my transforming SDF-1 (TV and DYRL editions please)!!!
  4. I agree about the costume too ComicKaze, that's my one real complaint about Superman Returns as a whole. Otherwise, I'm really excited about this movie and I hope to see more movies with some of Supes more fantastic villians (Darkseid, Parasite, Metallo, Brainiac, Bizarro). Those are the guys I want to see up on the big screen.
  5. I'm also reading the new Transformers comic. The story is building itself, slowly but surely. I'm still on the fence with EJ Su; his art is okay, but nothing really spectacular. I like that he's updated the vehicle modes of all the TFs. I'm gonna have to check again, but Bumblebee made an appearance last issue, but I'm not sure if he's a New Beetle because his transformation is different from classic G1. It's more Alternators style (roof and windshield on the back instead of being his chest). Transformers vs GIJoe just came out again, a new storyarc. I really like Joe Ng's artwork. Also, the story is pretty cool, some Serpent.o.r. action thrown into the mix, pretty cool way they did it IMHO. I may have to start checking out the new Beast Wars comic, but I think I need to watch all of Beast Wars. I've seen most of the show, but missed alot of the later episodes.
  6. Just read the book, it was very well done, I enjoyed it. Will be going to see this opening day.
  7. I heard about Grant Morrison and Jim Lee doing WildCATS together, I'm stoked about that one . Justice is written and drawn by Alex Ross, though there is a catch. The covers are all done by Ross himself, but the inside pages and done by both him and Doug Braithwaith (spelling may be off). Basically Braithwaith draws and Alex Ross does the coloring. I'll admit, on closer inspection these shoes are loafers (had to put the quote there ). It's done in the Alex Ross style and I can't really tell the difference unless I look closely.
  8. I really enjoy the strip and though the cartoon show isn't the same, it's pretty good. I like the animation style, its very unique. "It's A Pimp named Slickback, you know, like A Tribe Called Quest"
  9. Green Lantern Rebirth which brought back Hal Jordan as a GL was awesome. Ethan Van Schiver's artwork is amazing and the story works very well (though I have to admit I'm a Hal Jordan fan). This story is what got me into buying comic books instead of the random trade here and there If you guys haven't read it yet, I highly recommend 1602 from Marvel by Neil Gaiman. The writing is excellent; the way Gaiman combines classic Marvel characters with 17th century Europe is brilliant. Avoid the follow up story 1602 New World though, no where near as good as the original. Highly recommend those who haven't to check out the graphic novel. Justice is very excellent. Like Superfriends w/o the cheese. Issue 4 just pushed the series into overdrive for me. Superman fighting Bizarro, Solomon Grundy, Parasite, AND Metallo, WOW . Also, I read that Alex Ross will be throwing in the Teen Titans into this series. I can't wait to see who's gonna be on his Teen Titans lineup. Another series I highly recommend. Identity Crisis was excellent, Infinite Crisis is good, but I think the story of Infinite Crisis is too big and hard to pick up unless you read the tie-in series (Day of Vengeance, OMAC Project, Villians United, Rann-Thanagar War). Also, reading one of DCs Big Three (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman) helps clarify things too. House of M was very good too, I just wished it would've been a little longer, but it sets up Marvel's big event this Spring, Civil War, which I highly anticipate. I'm gonna have to check out Secret War by Bendis, just came out in hardcover. Overall, I just think Marvel's writing for their big events is tighter and can stand on its own better than DC's. Fables is a very well done comic, especially if you like folklore and mythology. Bill Willingham is an excellent writer as well. His use of all the different characters from Mother Goose, Grimm's Fairy Tales, etc is very well done. Highly recommend this series What I read regularly: DC All-Star Batman All-Star Superman Green Lantern Green Lantern Recharge JLA Classified Justice Infinite Crisis Teen Titans Marvel New Avengers Young Avengers Incredible Hulk: Planet Hulk Ultimate Hulk vs Wolverine Ultimate Extinction Ultimates Wolverine Astonishing X-Men X-Men Deadly Genesis
  10. I saw it and for the most part, I liked it. The story is an combination of the first story arc of Ultimates and more traditional Avengers lore. The VAs for the most part worked, though I didn't need Black Widow to have the thick stereotypical Russian accent. The battle at the end when Hulk starts rampaging was pretty cool. I especially like the throwdown between Thor and Hulk, pretty cool. For what it is, a superhero animated movie for kids, it works. Granted I would have liked the movie WAY more if it was a direct animation of the Ultimates, but I thought they did an pretty good job. I liked in the credits when they flashed panels from the Ultimates comic, nice touch there. I would rent it over buying it because I didn't find anything really spectacular about it to make me want to own it.
  11. since we are on the old DW Transformer comics, anyone reading the new series from IDW? I like the art and the story is intriging to me so far. Starscream is scheming as usual. I'm waiting for Optimus Prime and Megatron to make their respective appearances.
  12. Nice, I'm glad to see JLU back on TV finally. I'm waiting 'till March for the Justice League Season One DVDs to come out.
  13. Now I'm anticipating this possible Low-Vis (VF-1J I'm hoping) and this Stealth version as well as putting together money for the GBP armor as well. I both love and hate you at the same time Yamato!!!
  14. I really like the Mirage/ Ford GT, it looks awesome. This new Optimus Prime I'm gonna have to see in person before I buy it. It looks promising though.
  15. Been w/o a computer or internet for while and I come back to this. Wow, its lovely !!! I'm definately gonna pick up one of these.
  16. I have never bought a console at launch. Got my NES right about the time Genesis launched. Skipped right over Genesis/Snes, Saturn/PS1/N64. Bought my own console with my own money two years ago when I sprung for a Gamecube to play Wind Waker. Currently own a slim PS2, my friend is taking care of my XBOX, and technically I still own the Gamecube as my friend still hasn't paid me for it. I think I'm gonna wait for the first price cut on the new systems and just enjoy the quality games that'll be coming out for PS2/XBOX/Gamecube in the next 6 months to a year. Right now I'm giving it up for Sony and PS3 because it will have Blu Ray technology in the system. Saying that though, if Sony and Nintendo doesn't embrace online play like XBOX has with Live, that may give XBOX 360 the edge over the other two systems.
  17. that would be cool to see another Transformers game. the one on PS2 based on Armada was pretty good, though I heard the one released in Japan and based on G1 tanked hard.
  18. coincidentally, a friend of mine bought a bootleg of Fantastic Four, but when he got it home a popped it into the DVD player, it turned out to be a bootleg of the Roger Corman film which just recently got officially released in DVD. I have never seen the Roger Corman FF4 movie, but I'm told it's 90 minutes of your life you'll never get back.
  19. More fastpacks are always a plus. This news and seeing how the 1/48 GBP Armor is coming along, Yamato has done taken all the money I haven't earned yet already
  20. I'd like one is 2XL if available, but willing to take XL if thats all that's available.
  21. Nice, looks like the 1/48 GBP is coming together pretty nicely. I especially like the hands.
  22. So I've been without internet for like 1-2 months and I come back to this ! Awesome work Rohby, that JM is really nice, especially with the fastpacks. I thought all I had to really needed to buy this year was the 1/48 GBP, but now I think I might have to spring for at least one of these. Awesome job again Rohby.
  23. Revenge of the Brick was great, I loved it !!!
  24. I like the show and was sorry to see it get cancelled. I plan to pick up the DVD sometime and I'm psyched about this movie now.
  25. yeah, definately not as cool as the stop-motion spidey using all legos. also, the spidey one was cool but goofy and fun. the batman one seems more serious, which is a misuse of Adam West because Adam West = Campy Batman. "I never needed molded plastic to enhance my physique; Pure. . . West"
