The show is definately still fun, Fukei screwing with the deck crew by making it look like the Yukikaze was falling off was an unexpectedly funny moment, but this OVA should definately be longer to tell the story it's trying to tell. They're going to have to pack a lot into that last episode. I'm sure there are some who've already seen ep 5, does everything tie together in a satisfactory way?

One of the things I found most interesting was the depiction of the origianl use of the Moonlight Butterfly that brought about the dark history. Despite whiping away just about every trace of technology from Earth, it left everthing with a nuclear core intact, instead burrying those MS & ships deep under dirt & rock, so as not to expose the Earth's atmosphere to the radiation. While it served the dual purpose of making ancient Zaku's available to series, I'd like to think there was more behind it than that. Also, I thought the final design of the Turn A wasn't directly related to Syd Mead's design, just evolved from it. Though I may be remembering wrong, I was pretty sure I remember seeing a picture of Syd Mead's actual design, which looked more generic & G-Savoiur-ish.

Awesome, though all 3 filsm should have been 100% new a nimation and at least 2 hours each, I'll take the extra 9 minutes and be happy. Is there a downloadable trailer for III yet?

No, but they have an already existing full translation, with box art (that clearly says Super Dimension), Japanese audio, and hell a Japanese Seiyuu to let them know it's ma-ku-ro-ss

I've been peeking in on this topic every so often, and the face has really come around, great work.

It's just too bad we never got that Turn A sequel series.

With online discounts & such, probably around $120, $130 with box.

Names tend to be pretty off, but the contet of the translation isn't too bad.

Maybe they'll replace Rosami with the PG MkII with Four in movie III. Now that'd be an interesting plot change!

I'd be willing to bet all have the specials. And if they're all 5 disc sets, then most likely they're just repackaging of the same initial version.

I'm more concerned with having a version that won't potentially crack a part, so I'm picking it up regardless. The only real question at this point I have is whether ADV will leave "sempai" in the subtitles, as only funimation & animeigo so far have left such things in their subtitles. If so, then regardless of how it sounds in the dub, it could mean a nice improvement of their subtitles. Though now that I think about it, Godannar left all the "chan"'s in the subtitles, so this practice I'll support.

I picked up the 7 disc version a while ago, it's good both japanese & australian dub versions on it (i.e. all episodes are there seperately). Problem is, it's only 7 disc's, so everything is really badly compressed (australian dub version won't even play without stuttering). Japanese verison plays fine, but it looks like a 2nd-3rd generation fansub.

It was initially a box set, but looks like that's out of print. Doubt the individuals will have the soundtrack, but vol 2 should still hopefully have the new footage.

I still don't see how it's any worse than the robotech dub, it'a a dub! If people wanted to listen to good acting, they'd watch it subtitled.
