  1. No... there's no Cannon Fodder yet. The anime does feature a white and brown paint scheme.
  2. You totally didn't read the small print! Possible continuations may include, but are not limited to, Television, Movies, Comics, Toys, or fan fictions available for reading at Robotech.com. All official comments released by Harmony Gold and its subsidiaries should always be considered pure speculation and may or may not have any reference to actual fact. All promises made by Harmony Gold or its Licensees assume absolute best case scenarios that are absolutely unobtainable in the real world and should be categorically dismissed as fiction. Harmony Gold is not liable for any bodily harm that may come from the use, either proper or improper, of any of its products (including suicide or retardation).
  3. Does "feature movie" mean the same thing as what the first Shadow Chronicles was?
  4. One thing you didn't mention, but maybe you can confirm it for me, it seems to me that he guns were also improved. My Series 1 the guns seem to have a hard time staying together at the handle when I'm handling the toy. On series 2 I can actually lift the gun out of the toys hand without it separating (and it fits very snugly in that hand).
  5. Just a random tip for anyone going to conventions like this and hoping to take great pictures (I'm reminded by Graham's mentioning of a few blurry ones). A good trick to keep your pics from getting blurry is to use the view finder instead of the monitor (if your camera has one). By holding the camera against your face it helps reduce the very mild movement that can cause blur on indoor shots. So, if you find yourself trying to snap a quick pic with people potentially rubbing against you trying to jockey for a shot of the same thing you may find the view finder a big help!
  6. Nope, that thing got scratched. It's a variable Conbat which did look similar to the VF-4... so was the Conbat originally a VF-4 rip off? It's certainly a possibility. Maybe it'll show in future episodes, afterall, now that the human tech is being rendered useless they have new motivation to make new weaponry.
  7. All i know is I'd love to have that on the wall in my office... at the least it's a great conversation piece.
  8. Hey Hikuro, you also mentioned the red paint on your 6Z, is this the same Alpha with the floppy head? All my 6Zs have tilts at the neck pretty bad. The crooked head thing is just a joke, it's amazing how many MPCs have 'em. I also find the 6Z's head doesn't sit as well in fighter mode as the other heads... it's a shame though because it's one of my favorite looking heads.
  9. Hmm... sounds like yours might be looser than mine. Mine definitely don't lock but they stay in place pretty well in almost all positions. This might just be another case of classic Toynami build tolerances more than anything. Sigh... go Toynami go.
  10. I'm confused... why would you want the head to "lock" in battloid mode? Don't you want it to be able to move around so you can pose it better or are you going for like an upside down pose... I guess if you were holding it upside down it would be a problem. Still a great job on those customs Robo. I can't believe you were able to mask that bright red so well!
  11. I remember hearing from someone who did actually get replacements. That does suck though. Out of curiosity, did they ask you to send in your busted ones? I'd find that pretty funny. I did take some pics of the new & improved series 2 version, it's funny how little a change seemed to make such a big improvement. On the plus side, at least Toynami listened enough to get the second version right... I think that's a first for them.
  12. Seems like the "bottom line" is a day late since TSC has apparently breathed new life into Robotech.
  13. Head lasers are harder plastic than Banpresto. I have a full review coming up some time in the next week that should be rather informative but by then you'll probably have handled yours and figured out everything you need to know.
  14. I thought sitting on the fence had to do with not deciding which direction to go. I'm happy going in all directions so you might just say my legs are tired from running in circles. The ass is fine though. I thought that was the price for the new Mospeada DVD box set?
  15. Am I the only one hoping Toynami will be the first person to buy a CMs Tread and then turn around and improve upon it and then release their own Tread? I would be THRILLED to own two different Treads. Pipedream? Yeah, probably.
  16. I'm absolutely thrilled. Someday's I like me a boxy Legioss and on those days I do appreciate the Toynami look. Somedays I like me a stylized Legioss and up until now I've had to just appreciate some fan art... but now I'll have that too. Now, if only I can get another one to fill those "in between" days. As to the whole complaining thing, MW has definitely gotten negative and a bit ugly lately and I absolutley don't blame anyone for being unhappy with that. I don't mean to come off like the complaining is all a good thing (and I realize I may have sounded like that). I just meant that in this particular thread it seems to make a bit more sense since you're going to have eager fans dissecting what glimpses they have for the very first time... and those glimpses are of an unfinished resin prototype to boot... much analysis must be done!
  17. Who's battying now? Oooh the irony! Y'all need to relax, what do you honestly expect people to do when something new is introduced? Piss themselves with glee or take a good hard look at it and determine how much of there money it'd be worth to them. Besides, this toy takes nice liberal leaps from standard linearts, obviously that requires discussion. This toy also involves some complicated tricks no other toy manufacturer has pulled off, people are bound to discuss that also. So now you can stop your battying and let us get back to ours
  18. That looks like a pregnant cyborg woman.
  19. Those are the Popy pieces right? Sometimes called "magnet action?" Man, I've been dying for pics before I preordered and no one was coming through with anything solid. I think HLJ bumped the released date back to April.... Hmm... not sure how impressed I am...
  20. LOL, Graham really is everywhere! It's like reinventing Where's Waldo over here. The CMs did an ultra-stylized mold from the look of it, Toynami did pretty much the opposite. At the moment I'm actually enjoying the Toynami mold more but Toynami, to my knowledge, never did us the favor of displaying their Beta like CMs is doing with their Tread (stand alone bomber style). Now, CMs has to do us the favor of showing their Tread in Soldier mode. Ideally I would love to have Toynami sit back, let CMs release their Tread, buy one for themselves. Play with it, see what doesn't work, improve their own mold, and then release a Beta having learned from CMs mistake (as I'm sure CMs did with Toynami's MPC Alpha). Either way it's becoming a great time to be a huge Mospeada fan again!
  21. That's a mean spirited post don't you think? This thing is going to cost and arm and a leg and you shouldn't care if its flawed because you're desperate. Besides, I think most of what you're seeing here are observations upon people seeing the toy for the first time as they try to digest what they're seeing. It'd be a pretty boring thread if we just rained praise down without taking a critical eye to it.
  22. From the angle in mog's pic you can see the missiles are sitting up awfully high... I hope that's just a mistransformation.
  23. I would guess it's just removeable.
