  1. If memory serves, Corg = Batra and Sera = Sorji.
  2. Sorry Vermillion21, the only pics that exist are of a prototype we have heard has been scrapped to be retooled. No one has pics yet of a retooled version.
  3. oh.. that's awkward.
  4. I'll probably own all of them... some maybe only briefly. I think MegaHouse is asking a bit much though but a lot of that is because I have to have it shipped from Japan. I don't know why HG wouldn't work out a distribution deal with them though... maybe they will. I could definitely see me scooping up a $49.99 MH ride armor but when it gets to be $75 shipped it gets a bit tougher. The Toynami MPC will probably be easily had for that same price and with diecast and I'm pretty sure it's bigger. I really will need to see some good bike comparison shots though. The CMs version seems like it will be the real cheapy in the group so I might pick that up as packing material with a Valk i'll order. EDIT - Did Rey/Rand's armor even have a scope? I thought the scopes were used by Stig for his gauntlets and Yellow for his chest missiles.
  5. I missed the post that said we get FPs with this bird? I didn't see FPs in the ommercial.
  6. yes, go here for info on the mpc alpha http://anymoon.com/blog/2006/11/12/review-...ha-volumes-1-3/
  7. I severely doubt this toy has a light up eye. I'm pretty sure that's just a common Macross effect used to denote that transformation to battroid is complete. It's accompanied by a cute little sound effect, the toy won't do that either.
  8. What is this? A YF-21 for ants? How can we be expected to play with such a toy... if we can't even fit inside the cockpit?
  9. I thought the Toynami looked decent and could stand of its own volition. I'm gonna own all these toys so I guess it doesn't matter.
  10. you're smarter than Yamato.
  11. Please take Toynami release dates with a grain of salt people... they've NEVER hit a single date and their track record shows they're usually late between 3 and 6 months.

Hey everyone, I'm selling a 0A right now. It has two arms that aren't broken and a perfectly fine head. Maybe if someone needs one arm, another person needs another, and another person needs a head it could get parted out? I dunno, just a thought.
  13. Looks like the VF-25 is a combination of a VF-11 and an SV-51. The more complicated these transformations get the less I'm thrilled with it. It definitely promises that we'll get fragile toys and it just seems to make less sense than the VF-1. Oh well, guess it looks cool enough.
  14. Wow, that's the first time I watched the M25 video. I can tell I'm not going to be a huge fan of the VF-25 but whatever, I'm looking forward to that. I hate how complex the VFs have gotten in their transformation. Anyway, I can't seem to download this guy's rant. I get a IE Can't Connect error.
  15. Maybe this pic will help:
  16. Wow, the Accountant in me would just love to do some demo number crunching right now... but there are just far too many variables. Honestly though, "Nope.... not going to make one right now" seldom boils down to less than an economic decision. The thing for a company like Aoshima would be opportunity cost. You have twelve different proposals each with some form of market research telling you the projected consumer base (and granted, that research is prone to error). Typically, you look at the twelve and pick your best choice for profitability as the next production model. In the case of the Legioss there's a lot going on. The Aoshima/Toynami relationship might go all the way back to Toynami's original purchase of the molds. Toynami purchased the molds... shortly thereafter Aoshima re-released the model kit. So, go back to that board room where you have 12 different viable projects and now you have a strategic partnership for item 5 on your list of profitability. Obviously, you elect to go with your top 3 for what your company will actually produce and you get project 5 as a bonus at very little involvement from yourself. Had the Legioss been #1 Aoshima might have done some big super cool toy, as it never made it that high it got the treatment it did. Obviously there are plenty of exceptions. Some times a company wants to make an ultra high-end product more for reputation's sake than profitability. In that case it's probably all about the ease of licensing rights, the demand, and then ancillary factors like boosting the sales of existing products.
  17. I don't have a picture of each box variant but you can find every Gakken ride armor here: http://anymoon.com/blog/category/cycloneride-armor/
  18. My gun comment was just to say it looks too fat in bike mode. Really I think it's just a scale issue more than anything. They had to do what they had to do.
  19. LOL... they didn't do so hot with the gun in bike mode on Rey's bike. Glad to see it as a variant... but that one's definitely getting posed in armor mode.
  20. The rider's sculpt/proportions without armor on are frightening but I think I can deal.
  21. Okay, I think I'm leaning back to my original hypothesis that this is some sort of 1/35 prototype. Here's my thinking. If you look at the Ride Armor toy that clearly is a 1/8 prototype pic. There are certain details that give it away like the yellow circles in the boots and the articulation of the rider. Now, the arrows have to indicate transformation but the prototype bike-mode Ride Armor doesn't look like it can transform (close, but there are some elements missnig from the final version). So, on the other side of the page, I think we're seeing the same sort of situation with the Legioss. I agree that it's three different mock-ups but I believe it's sort of a teaser. "We're making a large scale toy that will transform into all three modes and look roughly like this in each mode." Back to the original photograph though, I think you might be right and we might be seeing this legioss fighter mock-up attached to an incomplete Tread mock-up.
  22. looks to big to be 1/55 scale. I'm thinking it really must just be a toy that evolved into other toys... like maybe the 1/35 takes some elements and the 1/55 2x changer takes others.
  23. Are those just super early prototypes of the 1/35 Legioss and the 1/8 Ride Armor?? Interesting stuff no matter what they are, thanks for the scans!
  24. I don't think we need to hope that the new Aoshimas will sell well enough to justify a Tread. I think the Tread is a pretty much forgone conclusion at this point. Aoshima probably ordered a bunch from Toynami so as far as Toynami is concerned they've already sold "well." Now, obviously if Aoshima can unload them easily then Aoshima will likely order more Treads and if they sold horribly then Aoshima will probably buy less Treads so there is that piece of the puzzle. I suspect though that the deal that got Aoshima any Legiosses involved some sort of order for Treads as well and was the reason why Toynami finally finished their Beta prototype and announced its impending release. This is all a bunch of supposition but I think it all makes sense.
