Arad was more of an old timer past his prime than an Ozma or Roy type who was still at the peak... that was my impression. Still young enough to kick some butt but not young enough to throw it out on the line like the kids could. If others had that impression, it makes sense he doesn't sell terribly well. I thought his character was likable enough.

I can't read Japanese but I'm going to assume it says "Grandma Miria Jenius Use" somewhere on there.

They need a standing Zentraedi soldier figure to complete the shot.

It came out on a Friday and Monday was a holiday so not ideal for shipping. If it didn't go to PW for a hot second it will probably go out tonight. If it went to PW then you are in the same boat with me and it can take a while.

I have an item right now I suspect the post office has destroyed... either that or the shipping label has an issue. It's been at customs for more than 2 weeks which I know is bad juju. Ship with insurance and hope for the best.

Have you started building a 1/100 front of the Daedalus?

Fugly valk would make fugly toy regardless of who makes it... but I'd still buy it.

Of course, they already teased a vf1 and DYRL sdf1... will it be vaporware? We shall see

It looks like instead of the hips moving down (like on the Yamato) the vents above the hips move up for more dynamic posing.

In this theory, Bandai has the rights but are subleasing them to Arcadia so they can dictate what Arcadia can release and they get their cut on top of the BW rate. It basically let's Bandai get some money while squatting on the rights. I think Arcadia has the rights to Zero and Plus right now but not SDF.

I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen more VF-1 releases. I'm loving all the non VF-1 releases but with so many VF-1 releases possible, I was hoping we would see more of them as well... the Elintseeker and SuperOstrich were teased a long time ago, I hope they're coming up soon in the queue. Would love a VF-1D as well. Maybe we'll get something like last time where they did three different VF-1 releases at the same time through Tamashii for the different DYRL VF-1A toys. They could do that with TV toys and give us Kakizaki, Jenius, and Alaska base... that'd be tight. Anyway, there are a lot of possible VF-1 toys and while I love the non VF-1 releases, I'm hoping they keep the VF-1 love coming too.

And moving eye gimmick and no pre-order madness for destroids. Huzzah! Also, not pink. When's the Tomahawk coming?

Given their release schedules so far, I don't think they'd even be capable of releasing two valks in one month. Best case scenario would probably be June and December so we get both in one year. I don't think they have the rights to do M&M or else they would have already. I think they're getting a sub from Bandai and Bandai only lets them release valks where the market will always have demand so Arcadia can't ruin demand if Bandai chooses to go DX. That's my conspiracy theory.

I honestly don't think Arcadia has the rights. I think either Bandai has the rights and they have some deal with Bandai that let's them put out a couple SDF toys a year or BW only gave them a very limited license. That would also explain the inflated prices... there's one more party getting a cut or they're paying more to BW per release. Arcadia did say they weren't doing a super parts release because of licensing issues (as someone interpreted from Twitter).

Yeah, zero interest in a DYRL colored regult here. I'm also not a fan of DYRL VF-1 paint schemes either though. Maybe it comes from being a Robotech fan as a kid... that's just how things look "right" to me.

There's a huge difference between knock-offs of toys that are long out of production (especially if the company is out of business) and knock-offs of a company still trying to sell that product. There's also a huge difference between third-party "original" works and straight knock-offs. Nooooooooo, I was just making a joke. I mean, it's a possibility, but Arcadia has a product currently in production for DYRL.

Maybe Arcadia sold a bunch of molds because they were losing licenses only to find out the buyer wasn't a Toynami employee after all.
-
Somebody screwed them with a credit card chargeback no doubt.
-
I don't think Arcadia toys appear in many b&m joints... Japanese folks would be buying knockoffs online... if they were the types to do that.
-
I largely agree but it's a two way street. When the legitimate producers can't meet demand this is capitalism's expected conclusion. It is much scarier than third party products for the future of our hobby... why invest in new molds when a knock off will rapidly appear? (Though all these molds are not so new). That said, I've been shocked how the Transformers Masterpiece line keeps plodding along though clearly that line has orders of magnitude more demand.

The Regult is shown in a variety of hues so I wouldn't sweat the colors too much. I would be fine with a reissue in slightly different colors.
