CDJapan just hit me with an upcharge on shipping. I should have bought that Amazon one when I had the chance! Not CDJ's fault I guess, basically it's too big for their SAL shipping guideline so I have to go EMS. :/

There was the poll for next release that the Monster won. There are still lots of items from that poll that haven't been made but we keep inching forward.

The super silly thing about this is that Arcadia seemed to tease a new stand recently and you have to imagine that new stand would cost about the same amount.

People are so used to the Yamato V2 at this point they think that it represents what the VF-1 should look like in battroid mode. The truth was that the backpack was too low, the head too small, and the neck/head too high. That said, looking at previous battroid mode pictures... the neck does seem awfully small on the DX though some dynamic poses make it look a decent size... can't wait to see it in person!

Good catch and that also gives me more hope that these aren't just a flight of fancy and a paintbrush but something they are honestly considering making.

The thing that makes the increased charge so brutal with NY is that they inflate their shipping charges as it is. So, they're going to charge you more and then they will pay less than they originally billed you for in the first place so they can maintain the profit margin (since they price aggressively, the shipping costs are included in their overall margin) With CDJ, they don't inflate the shipping charges so if they actually do charge you a corrected amount, it's because it really is costing them more to ship it to you than you have already paid.

Not PO version, launch version. There's been no indication later releases will be a different price though they may be a bit cheaper because they won't have the extra stand...

Ha, I should have known! The VF-1S with the new head sculpt was probably fighter too so that'd be my guess for 2nd fighter more toy. Second one is the DX VF-19Kai!

I can't think of anything before the Bandai reissues in 2000ish or the Yamato V1s, I can't remember which came first. HCM, JM HCM, henkei, 1/100, 1/55, block system, paro, all were battroids.

Have both! Keep the older release in bike mode, newer release in armor mode. Everyone wins!

At this size, YES! Especially if Sentinel goes with a reinterpretation of the Legioss. I could definitely enjoy having KC feed my classic itch while Sentinel gives me a modern take.
