  14. I just received my Ultimate GD and I must say that this UGD is rather quite nice. Fwiw, I never own any previous GD versions. Joints are tight. Very solid figure. Mine don't seem to have the grease, paint-smell and smudge issues that yt-reviewers have noted. Quality and stability is about the same as my old Cherno, which means it seems quite very good. At least, so far. Still, it's a NECA product so just hoping nothing breaks off soon after this posting. Nice accessories and light-up feature for a US$22 mecha figure. Dunno why the batteries were already installed, but it's all good. As such, for an "Ultimate" GD version, not quite sure why it doesn't include the boat... Anyway, quick shot with my old Cherno Alpha and CT's possibly moar awesome ancestor... http://i.imgur.com/ssKlzkxl.jpg

^^ Yeah. This HMR-Dougram move is much more like a long overdue love letter to FASA and the BT/MW fans from Bandai...
  19. Alrighty! Thought somebody already made one, but here it goes... Apparently, Bandai's expanding the HM-R line to non-Macross mecha by offering the Dougram mechas under it, per Toysdaily post and mag-scan: 2017年2月 [HI-METAL R] 太陽之牙 DOUGRAM - 日系英雄∕機械人 - Toysdaily 玩具日報 - Powered by Discuz! Details from the mag states: 2/2017 16cm (160mm) MSRP is 12800y ABS, POM So awesome! Hope the scaling will be a bit nicer than the 1/72 Maxfactory and the old Revoltechs with the HM-R Macross mecha. Macross mechas first, now Dougram mecha soon. Maybe VOTOMS,too? BRING IT, BANDAI!!!
  20. Nope. Not SHF. Hi-Metal R - Dougram http://toysdaily.com/discuz/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=251924&extra=page%3D1&page=1 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=41926&page=242#entry1303456 Even written so in your pic, actually...

Not sure why you're being a negative nancy on this line. There's a bunch of both Gundam and non-Gundam mechas that don't sell well (or at all) in their Robot Spirits/Robot Damashii line, but that line is very far from dead. Not to mention Bandai's SRC line that has a bunch of non-Mazinger robots that ain't been selling well, yet the SRC is still chugging along.

    Heck YEAH!!!
  23. meh! one-cour, two-cour, schmour! it ain't a valid excuse at all. try not to use it as some sort of an explanation of the fail. iirc, SDF-TV had a more precarious series-survivability (13 to 26 to 48 to 36 or whatever), yet it kept the series moar interesting and moar epic despite and in spite of the tv-stations and producers' capricious episode-counts whims.
