The crotch-armor is longer in the third pic, in contrast to the "anime-magic" pics #1 and #2. #3 pic is even longer than Arcadia's toy.

GX-72 at 27480y at ami's tonite (1600-JST): http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-023215 edit: Btw, might be a bit cheaper to get it locally via amzn-us as their preorder-page for it is already up: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LZNJOUJ/ US$299.99 June 15, 2017 release In contrast, japan-release is April-2017 and will definitely be EMS or FEDEX shipping-fees for it. Seems not listed on amazn-ca as of yet, tho.

Just be a bit careful about those Tridents/SA-5 stands from Bandai. I don't personally trust them for displaying in battroid or even gerwalk modes. Especially with the extender tubes. I think there was somebody here who got his Roy do an unfortunate shelf-dive when being used with an tubed-extended SA-5 stand.

Yeah. There's nothing we can do about the current exorbitant pricing on it, unfortunately. Most of us were quite lucky to have gotten our Yammies back when the pricing was alot more reasonable. Some even got their's on bargain-pricing during the glut back in the day. As such and if you're completely new to the 1/60v2, it does take a tad bit for some people to appreciate and absorb how almost completely different the engineering and the fit/finish of the 1/60v2 VF-1 compared to other current and even older toys from other brands and even with Arcadia's own other lines.

Not sure if you do have a lemon or not, but I'm guessing you're just new to it. At least, I just hope so. It would really suck if your version has a gunpod that behaves differently than our's. Returning or exchanging it might be more challenging and stuff. Here's a couple of reviews of the 1/60v2 that oughta help you be better acquainted with the toy. You can see in both reviews how the GU-11 gunpod is on both the Yamato and Arcadia versions. original 2008 Yamato version review from CollectionDX: https://youtu.be/Q47j_cyK8AA Arcadia VF-1S (naked version) review by Jenius: https://youtu.be/ub9G39HaMB4

Then Mr.K suddenly surprises everyone with a 1/3000 Meltrandi gunboat in both DYRL and Chlore Fleet colors, instead...

They oughta. Actually, Arcadia should actually do a 1/3000 Yamato and Arcadia, with all the necessary connectors to the SDF-1...

Multiple CFs, huh? I cancelled my hlj order, but honored my ami order for it when I saw the nice head-gimmick. One CF is enough for me.

1/3000 SDF-1 re-release. It'll be a hot seller these days, I say...

I don't have the Arcadia, but I do have the old Yammies. From reports, they're basically the same quality. The old Yammies-v2s were very tight and will give you that uneasy feeling that you may break it or something. Lots of people here over the years have been surprised how scary tight the 1/60v2s are. That said, the 1/60v2 is very light when naked. However, attach the FPs and then you get the heft. Still not gonna be as hefty or even as heavy as a DX Chogokin or a SOC, but it'll be hefty enough. The plastic quality ain't model-kit quality. It's quite thicker and stronger. It's just different from Bandai's stuff. Again from reports here, the only valk that feels like a model-kit (aside from the actual macross model-kits) is the Evolution Toys VF2-SS. The Yammie GU-11 gunpod is not flimsy, so I'm a bit surprised that your Arcadia GU-11 is. Unless you just didn't quite pull and push/lock the grip when extended. However the default hands can be "flimsy" to some people. The wrist-joints, especially. If they are, then you can just simply swap it with the included solid hands. Also, the old yammie-v1 have had significant diecast parts (both legs, iirc) compared to the v2, so yeah, the v2's lightness will be a surprising feel if your only experience is from the old v1. The v1 was heavier than the 1/48, iirc. edit: also forgot to mention that, yeah, the sticker-shock of the current Arcadia-pricing does not really help in the satisfaction dept.

Seems like only the Draken and the Dougram got sold out at ami. In contrast, both Gundam 78s and all the SHFs preorders are still up and available. Good job, guys!
