  1. Just your regular and usual MWF shenanigans.
  2. /me shakes head Stacks is more of an homage to UM. MP-22 _is_ the UM of the movie and the tv-series.
  3. Well, this is MWF afterall. People are quite passionate about blueness of certain colors... You can try to get snapshots and stuff of UM from the dvd of the movie and/or the S3 of the tv-series if you're not convinced. It's like the Alto's VF-25 has Hikaru's color, but it surely ain't a VF-1...
  4. lol! Actually, I think this whole shenanigan is not really about cartoon-accuracy, but rather a toy-feature want instead. Stacks got a waist-swivel and that's fine. But he just do not look anything like the UM we saw when were kids. In contrast, MP-22 looks almost exactly like the UM we saw in the cartoon. The MP-22 toy sure got compromises all over, but that seems to be par for the course for the whole Masterpiece line. We got an official MP-3 that was green and other shenanigans in the MP-line, ffs! Fwiw, I got a bunch of SOCs that were damn accurate to their respective shows that either has no waist-swivel and/or other compromises. That still does not change the fact that when I see them, they're the ones I remember looking like the bots I watched when I was a kid. Regardless of waist-swivel and other toy-feature wants.
  5. Oh, yeah? Tell us which one is more cartoon accurate between these two?
  6. Geezus. UM is a bricky dork in the cartoon. He's a bricky dork in all his official toy incarnations, including MP-22. At least in MP-22, he's not the even-more-dorky white-Prime.
  7. He ain't MP-10, so why would anyone bother? Besides, I don't understand why anyone would display MP-22 with his buttflap down, let alone facing backwards on the shelf. The only figures I'll most likely display facing backwards are my bishoujo figures to show off their magnificently sculpted butts! Also, I don't see his lower legs touching each other in my walking pose of him: btw, is the pic below consider a "half-squat" stance?
  8. my new other shelf queen...
  9. Another great song from their awesome Trial album. It's actually in english, too... http://youtu.be/7OaGFPZZFHg :hail: can't find an official MV or live-version, tho...
  10. prolly yahoo japan auctions or something.
  11. Man, guess we'll all have to wait for one (or more) you guys here at MWF to do a full pictorial. Surprising that Toysdaily seems to be lacking any 0D release-coverage. They usually have somebody(ies) posting tons of detailed pics and stuff in their forum.
  12. All I can add is that all Bandai decals are terrible and mightily sucks.
  13. Meh. You guys are talking nonsense. MP-22 is very accurate to the cartoon and the movie. In both truck-mode and bot-mode. If anything, he's maybe even too accurate. The only issue I really had with him was the buttflap, which turned out to be quite minor as it can be flipped up.
  14. Kanna Tanigawa with her nekomimi...
  15. moar Yuki Mori v2  (flowy-hair): non-flowy-hair with Woody:
  16. uh-oh! http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-010453
  17. fwiw, there were alot of business reasons why and how Yamato-Toys failed. Chief among them is the global recession of 2008. I really highly doubt that all the love and improvements of the V2 even played a part in their demise. It's quite irrelevant and a non-factor. Yamato-Toys had other toy-lines that weren't bringing in the money and were just downright failures. Like that failed Garland and bishoujo lines, etc, etc. Their Macross-line was the probably the only profitable unit among all it's lines. Therefore, the most sought-after assets after their bankruptcy. And from that, we now have Arcadia. Who charges way too much and colors the 0D very wrongly...
  18. It's gotta be some age-old/traditional japanese business culture. Most of the japanese companies will never admit they made a mistake with their decisions, despite mountains of evidence and stuff. It is (still) very rare for it to happen. It is what it is. As such, some of them do address/resolve (or try to) the mistake(s) without explicit admittance.
  19. Yeah, but they make it up by charging more for the valk. This valk still seem to cost between US$300-US$310 (including shipping) between Ami and HLJ to us non-japan folks. Also, remember that paypal's always 2.5% off the daily exchange-rate. Not sure about the fees from your regular CC's, tho.
  20. Someone's bound to do the Titanic pose with this mode...
  21. lol! anyway, here's the recent Bulma...
