After 12-days, usps finally delivered my first. It's ok. Not tight, but not loose. Pod articulation is a bit limited in posing compared to my Revy. In fact, it can't really do my simple Revy pose... Yeah. Can't quite turn the pod to face properly coz of the hip. A bit awkward, but it's all good, tho. It's nicely big enough. Will think of other poses while I play more with it. edit: Forgot to mention the paint is a bit on the dull matte-ish side compared to the rather glossy/vivid Revy. Grey limbs instead of the revy white.

I understand why you would want it. I own one. That said, it's kind of a moot point regarding the Super/Strike Parts since the Kaki-TV never wore a Super-Pack in the anime, and that Super/Strike Parts add-on is even more rare now than a VF-1 and I reckon commands an even more premium scalper-pricing. If you're really that interested, I insist that you check out the listing at Anymoon.com. It should provide the information you are querying.

Hi, Cannon Fodder. The Kaki-VF1A shouldn't really cost more than US$100 (it was ignored and bargain-binned the last time it was up at hlj), but I know scalpers have been jacking up the pricing on pretty much any 1/60v2 VF-1. That said, try not to even get it if it will cost you $500. Use that money for something else more important. Wait around and maybe Arcadia will re-release it, or Bandai may release the smaller 1/100 HiMetal-R version of it that will cost less than $150 from legitimate japan-based shops like HLJ. --- almost forgot to use the salutation you're using...

Yeah. I get my SAL/RSAL quicker when it goes thru SF. Not a chance when it goes thru L.A. Full two weeks, and even beyond. In fact, my rsal regult right now... From that, I reckon they'll actually deliver it next week instead...

So does this mean Bandai's gonna finally offer a renewal SOC GX-58? That would be awesome news to me!

It seems to be all anecdotal, anyway. Some may have problem, some may not have the problem. The "problems" are livable, imo. They almost always not as catastrophic as the disintegrating Yamato VF-0A shoulder-issues. In my own case, all of my VF-1v2 do not have any shoulder hinge issue, and I manhandled them quite often. I have the first releases up to the last releases with the supposed "fixes" and stuff. I can't say the same with the others' VF-1v2, however. It all depends on how you personally really handle your toys, afaict. If in doubt, just don't buy it at all.

The HMR Regult should scale well as the 60t Ostsol with the 1/72 Dougrams Shadowhawk. I think the HMR Glaug should also scale well as the 75t Marauder, as it's a bit bigger than the HMR Regult. At least, that's my plan when I get my HMR Regult this week and my Glaug later on. I'm currently using the Revy Regult as an Ostscout since it's small enough to be 35t...

I'm thinking there is no fix coming with the Nexx version at all. I'm really highly doubtful that ET will bother to apply any improvements to fix the issues found, so I've cancelled my hlj-po for Nexx. I might still get the Nexx or Sylvie+SAP if it ever goes to the bargain-bin.
-
From what I gather in RJ-forum about ET's reputation, all of their toys ar overpriced with always suspect qualities regardless if it's niche robots or popular robots like Go Nagai's,,,

I reckon whoever has done or is doing the blue variant shown in DYRL on their 4G can call it either a VF-4 or VF-X-4 or something else completely ...
-
Has anyone done or is thinking of repainting their's into the blue variant that was shown in Hikaru's room from DYRL, instead of the usual FB-2012 colors?

It's all good. I was hoping it was really a new policy at ami, as I still have some preorders from them that I would really like to combine for better terms...
-
That's news to me. When did they do that? Usually, the only way to combine items at ami is if the items have the same release-month.

I'd actually honestly forgotten all about that 4G "feature". I thought I could pose the 4G like this way... -
Dude. That was an excellent mini-review critique! Really enjoyed and appreciated your bluntness and frankness about this ET product in it. You really oughta do more video toy-critiques...

Ya know? You've given me the best idea when I get mine next month in how to display it battroid-mode more tolerably: I'll try do the classic SNF Travolta pose with it, alongside with my Raideen, who does have bell bottoms... edit: Wait a sec. Can the 4G even rotate its arms and shoulders to reach or point up? -
Them pics just reminds me how much I'm rolling my eyes at Bandai for making the upcoming HM-R Roy a TWE item instead of a regular release like the Hikky-1S. Especially with that vs-pose against the Regult.

I like the Zero and all, but the current Arcadia version in battroid-mode just looks like a hobo wearing some hiked-up farmer bib overalls next to a Skull Leader VF-1S battroid. Prolly just need some straw hat to complete the hobo look... -
Heh! That's not even an MII Monster. It's still the Matchbox Monster. This is the MII Monster, however... http://www.macross2.net/m3/macross2/destroid-giantmonster.htm You missed it. However, Amiami is one of your remaining options: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-017242 You can also try Anime-Export (pay-now-only) or N-Y, too, if either one still has it.

I still have the old Manga-Ent dvd. MII was not a great Macross anime. Weirdly enough, after several other Macross anime over the years, MII anime is actually a better story watch than 7 and Frontier for me. No annoying loli or bizarro flower girl or Basara, no stupid 'shipping wars or hodgepodge fold tech, etc, etc. Mash was even a kewl character, despite being heavily stereotyped for the era. It only really falls apart at the final part of the final episode as the boss was not really fleshed out properly. Could be the producers were told to end it prematurely since the story itself could've gone on for more episodes. Macross Zero was a better Macross anime than MII no doubt, but Zero also fell apart in the final bizarro part of the final episode. We all panned the english-version, but it was actually not that bad given the time and era in the US when it was made.No Tenchi or Ranma or Macross Plus, yet). MII english actually got better as the series went on. The english-songs were just terribad and they should be expunged, but that was again due to the time and era in the US where everything has to be in english. We won't get the excellent Macross Plus in a number of years after MII, and we won't get any Macross in the west after Plus. Isthar is love, and still is... As such, the Metal Siren is ok, but still a fugly gundam in a Macross show. They really should've just gone ahead and put the V-fin on it to make it look better...
