That Q-Rau is soo awesome. The paint variation is just incredible, so many different reds and grays - just so subtle and well done. -
Yes, but the big question is, if they did a multi-version set for the battroid kit would they include the standing figures? 'Cus I with Kakizaki being a limited (Japan only) release I'm SOL for a complete set. And still really miffed by that!π‘

Really like these last 3 battroid builds! I can forgive the absent damage to the restaurant, but what about the missing 'bullet' holes on the chest plate of the VF-1D??. This is the Playmax kit so there should be decals for those no? Strange choice to do that scene and leave them off. -
Awesome job on the detail painting there. It's all so good, but those eyes are particularly well done. How big is this?

This is rather disappointing news. Being unfamiliar with Goodsmile regional web exclusive releases, is it worth hoping for a possible wider general release at a later date?

Please don't have an overly dramatic boxing match at the end where the big bad and Supes are pummeling each other with their fists and various vehicles and buildings while causing no apparent damage or pain to each other. I'm just so tired of superhero films where the ending is just literally a big punch-up.

If they are two separate pieces that get glued together, there is no way to make that join invisible - it is not a seam line - the separation goes right through from one end to the other. A seamline in a clear piece, like that on a canopy, does not run through the entire piece from one side to the other (inside to outside). It is more like an indentation ( like a scratch on the surface) and is removed by scraping away the surface to a point below (deeper) than the indentation (scratch) thus 'removing' it and then sanding/buffing the surface smooth. With two pieces joined together there is no way to scrape away material deeper than the join because it runs through from one side to the other. On non-clear pieces we can eliminate the line between the two joined pieces by covering the join with putty, sanding until the added material and the existing material from both pieces are even and smooth, and the painting over that area such that the line between the two parts is invisible. This cannot be done if the two parts are transparent.

Yep ! Great job on those. I too have sworn off the Vellejo putty. Same problem as you loads of shrinkage and it never hardens just turns rubbery.

Thanks. I'd seen those, but I was wishing for some more specific indication of how he determined the dimensions and curvature of the arch etc... -

Yes, terrific job on that SDF-1. Wish he'd documented how he modified the arches to the main gun booms in more detail. -

Way to @wm cheng! Patience and Perseverance pays off! @pengbuzz is this the Revell kit with the "make your own sign" gimmick ? Edit ok I see it is ( you posted while I was typing. This is the best I found so far ( from an Ebay listing)

You know you're most likely gonna regret not getting the lighter version if you miss the opportunity right? Why put yourself through that, as well as the torture of the back and forth (should I/shouldn't I) debate? If I were in your place I'd just resolve to get thenew release and sell the 1st issue for what I could get and look at it like a discount the cost of the new one. (I know it proably wouldn't really work out that way, but I'm pretty good at lying to myself when I want toπ)

Posted back on Page 14 of this thread. It is more than just the height. The general proportions are going to be different depending on the interpretation of the 2-D artwork and how that translates to 3-D.

From the video transformation sequence it doesn't look like there is any mechanism to 'lock' the wheels at any particular angle in Armour mode, so it may be possible to get them a little closer to the body. However, likely not as close as your 18Β°. It looks like there will be clearance issues with 'bulk' from other parts. I suspect getting the wheels closer will mean making the horizontal distance between them wider.
