Why can we not see who has liked a post?
Chas replied to Chas's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
🙄 I suppose I just can't understand the mentality of some people 🙄 I mean, honestly . . . Why? -
Definite preorder. I figure translators will likely only get better, so even if the translations are problematic now . . .

Holly Crap! That's awful.

Why can we not see who has liked a post?
Chas replied to Chas's topic in MW Site News & Member Feedback
That makes sense. Hadn't thought about it that way. -
I mean I could understand concealing the identity if it were an up/down vote, but what is the down side of a member knowing it was me who liked their post? Or me knowing which members liked a post I made? It just seemes an odd decision to hide this information behind the word 'Somebody' - i.e. 'Somebody liked a post'. Has identifying people who liked a post caused some sort of trouble in the past? Just curious.

Slow and steady wins the race!😉

@tekering That's definitely a unique addition to you collection! Good luck with the restoration. Still working away at the Bronco II conversion. I installed some magnets in the rear bottom of the wing openings and the rear lower claves to hold the legs in place whe in fighter mode, I also added some much needed panel lines to the top surface: And with legs engaged:

I'm guessing a Saturn 5 rocket, specifically The Appolo 11 launch vehicle.
-
And both the Daedelus and the Prometheus would 10+ meters, so I'm pretty sure they're both out as well.
-
Wait, the hint says 'it's a 1:48 model' At that scale an SDF-1 model would be 25 Meters long! Somehow I don't thing anyone on these boards is THAT crazy.

Yeah, the trailer is a really dud. It's just a black box, doesn't make me want to know more, it just annoys me, and makes me not care.

Getting closer to completing one leg. Thicker, rounder, more shapely thigh: Whole leg: Still a little bit of putty and sanding to do, but getting closer.
-
😱 Lovely work, and so clean. I've got a long way to go.
-
Thanks! Now I'm working on widening the thighs and then I gotta round them off a bit. Love the eye camera detail! And movable no less! Awesome! Did you scratch build that, or was it a lucky find in the spares box?
-
@derex3592 those are some sleek looking birds! Love that blackbird! and the multi-angle stand - awesome! @tekering Herbie with Bumblebee's license plate - nice easter eggs, and fantastic weathering! That front bumper looks like it's plowed through more than a few zombies. Over here I've managed to work out and complete the mobility mods to one lower leg of the Bronco II. Now I need to replicate it on the other. Here's the original: And modified for transformation and mobility:

Yes you did! I didn't want to mention you by name, in case you wanted to keep that info private, but indeed, it was you, and again, I can't thank you enough. Sooo long ago, but I'm finally getting down to it!

Got some new clear plastic display boxes with magnetic door closures from Amazon to help with dust on my displayed models.

Just looking at all that photoetch raises my blood pressure @derex3592. Superb job! Figure I'd post up what I just started working on today. My next build will be converting the old Arii 1:48 Bronco II Gerwalk kit (from Super Dimension Century Orguss), so that it can switch between fighter and Gerwalk modes: I'd been searching for a kit of this for years (wanted to get the convertible version, but if you know anything about these kits they are very hard to come by and very expensive when found), so when I saw this one for a good price a number of years ago I jumped at it, and asked one of our members in Japan to help me secure it. He very graciously agreed and here we are. Anway, first order of business was opening up the top of the thighs, where they connect to fuselage. Right is before left is after. Doing this allows the legs to sit horizontal in fighter mode. Again right is before left is after. Gerwalk: Fighter: Some nice engineering built in to the design allowing for a pretty wide range of sideways swing in Gerwalk: That's all for now. More to come

That would be interesting to see. I'll have to keep a look out for any pics where modelers have made that swap.

Am I understanding this right? At about the 38/39 min. Mark in that video does he say that we would be able to replace the Armour Valk boosters with the super/strike pack boosters?
-
Thanks! 🤙

Possibly because of shelf/display in stores. As in a larger box drawing/demanding more customer attention and thus more sales?
