  9. That ECM version is cool NZEOD! I think it falls within the timeline perfectly. Thanks for sharing about the LEDs too. Much better than what HLJ offers and they are in stock! That's cool Arbit! That motor is noisy, but the concept is REALLY cool and looks clean! - MT
  10. It IS cool to see a 1/72 heavy missile version. And yes, don't tell your wife about her hands unless you want to become the ghost of Christmas past! - MT
  11. That looks great Xigfrid! It will be nice to see it assembled whole. - MT
  12. Looking great! See, that sucker is deep. Dad had to help
  13. Thanks for posting that video Arbit! The narrator was funny to listen too and him showing how the LED lights worked. I guess it would be easy resin coat them and make them water proof for our own purposes. - MT
  14. Thanks Kelsain, those photos look great! I think I'm going to have to get this despite having the original 1/5000 kits. - MT
  15. That calendar has some DEEeeeep pockets! This is more cool than the Star Wars advent model calendar! - MT
  16. And so begins another epic build! - MT
  17. I hope these help. Areas are out of focus because the instructions wouldn't sit flat. - MT
  18. Thanks guys! That black on black looks cool Electric Indigo! Clean build Ignacio. Now you just have to make it look like a teenager has been piloting it in battle! - MT
  19. That's COOL! So, is there like a piece of a kit in each day? You'll have to virtually share with us now! - MT
  20. That looks great Xigfrid!!! Glad to see you getting to this design! - MT
  21. Thanks MickyG! Yeah, I went from being a network technician for a couple of decades to graphic design. Another reason I was offline a lot, going back to school for the degree. Now I'm doing something fun. Hopefully that encourages you more! No photos, but my son and I successfully tested out a small rocket to fire from the ship-not on the ship yet though. I also finished the water tight compartments to fit the ship radio in. Maybe some more work this weekend. - MT
  22. Those hanger are cool NZEOD! The lighting makes them realistic. Sorry I haven't been on the boards much lately guys. I started a new career as a graphic designer/artist. So now I work all day and have harry time to get on the PC, let alone build models (on the weekend now). - MT
  23. The Cylon Raider looks great Pengbuzz! I'm having some serious flashbacks! Arbit, yeah, lilke MickyG said, it is just hand brushing, almost dry brushing with progressively lighter colors. I'm sure there are a ton of wargamer videos on them out there. It does look like your paint needs thinning or filtering (with panty hose) to help get the globs out. Airbrushing can be a pain sometimes. I'll get some more photos of the ship with scale items on it. NZEOD, those look great! I love how you used the Macross scheme on them. - MT
  24. The Pukin' Dogs would be proud NZEOD! Arbit, it's not based on any one design, just a small patrol/fast attack missile boat. It's the 1/72 Tamiya PT-15 hull (ripped off by Trumpeter) heavily modified to what you see. Even the hull is heavily modified for the prop channels. This will be one of my few 1/72nd scale models. 1/20th and 1/24th figures are perfect for shading. It's basically your main base color with shading in the shadows and then adding a bit of white to the main color for highlights on the surface. The you do it again with a lighter shade yet and so on in layers. Wargamers do it to add depth to their figures. There's tons of tutorials out there. - MT
  25. Yeah, I believe that is Dorobou 's build. It is an awesome build! - MT
