9 of 12 CF's had parts breakage, mainly the triangle parts (both the shoulder triangle and the under slide-out triangles) and the knee joints. 1 or 2 also had really brittle canopies that had to be glued back in and one of the fighters even had a chest swing bar that broke apart and required the unit to be glued entirely into fighter mode. All of the CF battroid and Gerwalks have Shapeways shoulder triangle replacements and their slide-out triangles removed. The fighter modes were given all the intact triangles and all the broken knee joints since they don't need knee articulation. It's been rough but luckily I didn't pay retail for nearly all the CF's. the 171 Exes are all perfectly fine without any Parts breakage.

No joke I would literally sell off my entire DX VF-31 collection to fund a locust swarm of 1/72 plamo VF-31a's

IF you don't care about the box you can nab them on Mandarake for like 40 bucks before shipping https://order.mandarake.co.jp/order/detailPage/item?itemCode=1032159023&ref=dos The wings have the ordinance mounts on them so you can mount the missiles. Just make sure you buy the Alto version. (the other version is the regular VF-171 CF version) Yup they are easy to swap but the pegs are really loose on the Alto VF-171 EX. This was fixed on the VF-171 CF with its tighter pegs, but that CF has a whole host of other problems to say the least

VF_171 i my fav so I will sell literally everything before I sell these lol Believe it or not it's a lot less than 2K because the 9 broken VF-171 CF's I got were on the secondary market from disgruntled Early adopters who were offloading their broken VF-171's on Ebay and even here Macrossworld. Also when Mandarake had a fire-sale on their VF-171 EX armor parts for $30 I snapped up several boxes of them. I have no idea why peeps don't like it as much. It's got the old-school charm and none of the busy fragile backs with folded out wings that have plagued the VF-25, VF-27, YF-29, YF-30 and VF-31. Maybe it was just Bandai's execution that turned everyone off, especially on the QC plagued CF version Yeah I can't justify paying a mark-up on a valk that has a high chance to be broken. Yeah... believe it or not I am kinda hoping that doesn't happen. My model backlog is already too large

If he used Tamiya Acryls he can use the same rubbing alcohol to remove it and try again. I think when my two arrive I'll do the visors at the same time. After cleaning I'll prolly opt for Tamiya Acryl Clear Blue thinned with X-20 thru an airbrush, followed by a few dips into a cup of Pledge / Future to protect the paint afterwards.

Visor Dipping is hit and miss. If you're paint isn't thin enough you'll get huge drops of paint forming at certain spots.

I am so happy my 2 of co-workers are going on vacations this month. Even though I'll be working 4 weeks straight without a single day off at the NOC it means I can nab these YF-19's guilt-free and then some savings for multiple YF-21's if they ever get made

It looks like they're recycling the Sniper custom chest on that GM Guard instead of having a unique chest that has extra cockpit armor and the twin vulcans in it :/ Also looks like the front skirts are Sniper Custom recycles. Not really salty though since I don't bother with 1/144

I think I'll pick up one for the Foldildo and the missiles. As for the Arcadia YF-19 vs the Bandai VF-19, I think it all came down to preference. For me the big decider on which one to keep was the Ankle Joint. I prefer the Bandai's Ankles to the Arcadias.

Narrative Gundam looks so naked :/ Luckily my wallet is safe as I'm a fan of almost all the stuff from from 0079 <-> Gundam ZZ and anything from Gundam F91 on so any CCA stuff will be skipped. Will even skip those 1/144 GMs will be skipped since I only collect 1/100
