Is There An Online Macross Line Art Archive?
Roy Focker replied to danth's topic in Movies and TV Series
Yeah you past even fan ethics if you are posting a ton of high-quality pics. I don't think will mind a pic or two. If you're talking about say a 1/2 of the contents of one book and all high quality pics. I don't it will matter if post a where to buy link or not. Since nearly thing is avaliable in high quality why would someone buy a book? You have to consider actual rules of fair use and fan accepted fan use. If the makers of the art work came to you think if you can defend infront of them your use of their art. -
Okay I like watching late nite TV talk shows. They are generally funny but you really have to watch them at nite when your half a sleep. The stuff on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim I think you have to be high to enjoy. Is it just me but is 90% crap just crap? The shows that they bought re-runs of for the most part are okay but they original programming is pretty crappy. The animation is bad. The jokes are hmmm where are the jokes?

If the pickle is removed there is still the chance of the pickle juice stain on the cheese. -
That dub was the best. Yeah it sounded like an old dub Kung Fu film but it worked. The voice for Roy in it was just perfect in giving out the right emotion for the character. You'd believe that Roy wanted Hikaru to become a man and that he was into booze and booty. Robotech's Roy gave the impression that he wanted Rick to become a responible citizens and was into was G rated fun.

Is There An Online Macross Line Art Archive?

I never had a problem with a requests for a picture/scan before but talking about an entire archive. I'd imagine people would like to to be super high quality pictures from every book printed. The refusal to "buy a book" agrument fails to hold water when the books a relatively easy to get and aren't overly expensive. The books tend to have a great amount of line art. As said it is not like the only book with line art is the Gold Book, that is not of print for 20 years, goes for over $150+ and is hard to find. More Recent leased art books go for 1/5 that price. If people here can afford countless 1/48 Yamatos but are too cheap and lazy to spend 30-40 on one art book? -

What happen to just buying a book yourself. In recent years there has been a couple of affordable, easy to aquire art books with a pretty decent collection of line art. -
Fine I decided to start a poll. Maybe we'll one like this every six months or so. Here is your chance to say if liked or hate Macross 7. You'll notice no posting is allowed. This poll isn't about expressing why we love or hate it just if we do. The answers should make everyone happy. A simple "yes" or "no" could have worked but for those on the fence I wanted to leave some options.

People's hate for Macross 7 is like my hate for pickles on a Hamburger. If I find pickles on my hamburger I make an icky face and peel of the pickles while bitching, "Must they put these on everything? It makes everything taste like a pickle." Then I stare down at the pickle juice stain on the cheese and swear, "Damn it the pickle is still on the cheese." I then attempt to eat the rest of the burger and stop after two more bites. "I can't stand it! That pickle has ruined my hamburger eating experience!" Then I push it to the side and bitch about rest of the night. The rest of the burger might have been really good or just decent but I'm so wrapped up about that darn pickle! Maybe those who hate Macross 7 are just obessed about the size of Basara pickle -

Agent One is that you in disguise after suffering a some brain damage? I too heard that Macross 7 was in part a parody of a mecha series. I think Kawamori said that somewhere. Macross 7 is good and entertaining problem is with some people is their expectations. -
I think some of our toy collectors are threaten by their own sexuality. "Man-Dolls are too much like a Barbie. Only fruit cakes and girls play with a Barbie. Strange I think Man-Doll looks neat. Wait am I really a girl in a man's body or a fruit cake? No it can't be. Must make a crack about the Man-Doll and buy the biggest transforming robot with the biggest rifle." -Closet MW Man Doll Fan. Man-Dolls aren't Ken Dolls. They are 1/6 Collector Action Figures. Most are military or Movie based and are more closer to the GIJOE than Barbie. Some of us have embraced the Man-Doll Hikaru. If the thought still scares someone you please than come out of you 1/1 the Man-Doll Closet you're not fooling anybody.

I'd imagine the flight suit versions would cost a lot more than the standard.

OT but I'll run for a couple more days. I don't get the craziness either. I actually played Soccer in College. No as part of an offical school team. I decided to take it as required PE credit. Class was called begining/medium level soccer. Most who took the class along with the butch PE teacher were big soccers fans who kept repeating the course. Some were not full or even part time students but used it as a way to play the game. This sucked for us begineers. We weren't really taught anything. Well I learned enough to look really cool if I'm moving in slow-mo.

Haven't had chance to read all of this but I have problem thinking of anime a genre with themes to consider. Animation is medium and there all various genres of anime with in it. Can one really write article and say something about the entire scope of anime?

Good! I love my 1/48th VF-1S and wanted to get another premium VF toy but there's not much difference between one VF-1 and other. Glad to see the larger and more detailed lines are increasing.

Have You Ever Met A Celebrity Or Famous Person?
Roy Focker replied to Phalanx's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Okay time to share some of my amazing real life experiences Spent about twenty minutes in an hour with the mother from "Growing Pains". This back in the day when the show was a hit. I had some sorta inter-ear infection made a trip to Kaiser. She was taking her daughter to the pediatrician at the same time. Rode in the same elevator up and down then waited in pharamacy. No one said "hi" her daughter looked she had the flu. You don't approach someone in situation like that besides didn't really care the show. If was too say anything it would had been something like "What's a Boner?"
