1. I know I'm way late to the party, but I completely with you, Anubis. I'm going to rummage through my artbooks again, but before I do so, can you list what images you already have sources for?
2. Am I the only one who sees a problems with the name "Universal Media Disc"? Way to go Sony?
3. Definitely not buying this set, I've already got the Southern Cross box, what more do I need But a Masters remastered has piqued my curiosity. I mean, the "first" was cobbled from the pieces of several other episodes, I wonder what other scenes ADV could throw into the melting pot. Also, will episode two feature the song "Walking in the Sun"
4. OMFG!!!11!!! CEL-DA IZ 4 KIDZ!!! OMGLOLZ!!! You DO realize that the style Miyamoto went with looks almost exactly like the Link from the original NES instruction manual. I have to disagree with you there, Max. While I have no problems with Wind Waker's cel shading or style, I was actually dissapointed that it didn't look anything like Miyamoto's original Link. New Link.
5. My thoughts exactly. When I originally saw Gunbuster, I was thinking "WTF! Hellooo!! The 1970's called, and they want their robot back!" Of course, after finishing the series, I thought the Gunbuster was an awesome design. So far, this OAV seems to carry the whimsical nature that marked the first GB episode. Honestly, I don't really care if the sequel is good or not, I just hope it sparks enough interest for some US anime company to release the first series on DVD.
6. No doubt a lot of work went into the Q-rau, it is a very elegant sculpt. But if I were given the choice of designing a toy, I'd go for the non-transformable type as it would be a lot easier. Good eyes! Yup, it's none other than Jake himself, the Jedi pimp! You're the first person to notice that here, it's nice to meet another member of the "Romp Mafia"
7. same thing was said about the q-rau, and so far i don't have any problems with it....though i'm sure their are many here who beg to differ. i guess i'll end up being one of their testing dummies.... Using the Q-rau as a comparison for QC is a very poor choice. The Q-rau does not transform, has less posability, and has an overall simpler design compared to Yamato's VF line. You might as well be comparing a 1/72 Hasegawa to a 1/72 Bandai transformable VF-1 kit, there's just no comparison. That said, the Monster will probably have it's small share of QC problems, but I highly doubt there will be be any dealbreakers like the VF-11B's fragile hips.
8. Cripes! Now that is talent! Have you any idea how many April Fool's pranks you could pull with skills like that?
9. Nice Scope Dog! Tsk tsk, another scale-breaker. I'm not investing in anything that isn't 1/48, 1/60, or 1/72, this is already ridiculous. I really hope that Yamato releases the regular 1/60 Monster. $350 be damned, if they release it, I'll buy it!

I use the PS2 Action Replay PSX disc to boot the PS1 games. I used to have the PS2 Gameshark PSX disc, but I sold it since I had to sit through a 2 minute Gameshark intro before booting the game. Btw, I use the AR in conjunction with a mod chip.
11. Great work, BoB! Nice and creative rendition of Sivil's outfit, it's more revealing without appearing out of character or style. Kudos! Btw, what's that lump on Sivil's right forearm? And I'm not talking about the fin
12. That tears it, we need to go back to the old board settings, what were they? They were smaller for sure. Bite yer tongue! The old 32x32 limit still gives me nightmares.
13. Nope, UN Spacy doesn't give him another VF-19 Kai. However... SPOILER ALERT He does acquire a VF-19P in Macross 7 Dynamite.
14. I wouldn't mind larger avatars either.
15. It's blue. There are plenty more images from the Gold Book to back it up. If you flip through the Gold Book, Skull Squadron's colors vary depending on which portion of the movie you're looking at. For example, in some scenes Hikaru's red stripe turns from red to blood red. And yes, it is animation inconsistency. The movie (more than likely) was not animated in sequential order with several teams working on it at once. It's preposterous to expect 100% animation consistency in a film that was hand-drawn twenty years ago. As for the Max & Kakizaki display pictures, they were probably animated on seperate cels by different people.
16. I'm surprised it took this long for someone to abuse one of the servers. Play with warez... Anyways, if someone can't figure out how to queue files, I say they deserve to be banned.
17. Marvelous! Graham, is there any chance Yamato could release some limited edition 1/48's with a "hand painted look?" Repaints be damned, I'd buy them all!
18. Does anyone know how much Sony's PSP is going to cost? Two of the GBx's strengthes were its very reasonable MSRP and backwards compatibility.

Max VF-1S

No thanks. At this point, the only 1/48's that would remotely interest me would be non-repaints. VF-1D, Super Ostrich, or Elintseeker.
20. Very nice! MW's first Q-rau custom!
21. One of our HK members said that the Academy VF-2SS was actually licensed from Bandai. I don't have any actual pics of the parts, but it seemed to be of excellent quality, too good for a bootleg.
22. OMG! So I'm not the only one? You must have the other piece to this amulet? *holds up half-completed amulet*
23. Which version are you looking for? I still have my Saturn version, but I sold the PSX port a few months ago. Didn't make much sense having the same game twice, so I sold the lesser of the two.
24. Right off the top of my head. - Rick MPC VF-1J - Toynami Super Posables - Yamato 1/48 VF-1's - Transformers Action Masters (WTF was I thinking? Non-transforming TF's?!)
25. The PS1 version is actually inferior compared to the Saturn version. - Lower video quality. Instead or working from the masters, it looks like Bandai just re-encoded the Saturn .avi's to Sony's .str format. - No stereo output, the game is in mono with no option for stereo. Oddly enough, if you rip the FMV's to a computer, they will playback in stereo. Must've been a software oversight when porting the game. - There's a minor sound fx bug if you fire the gattling gun for a few seconds, you'll hear a brief "reeeeoooo" sound, this was not present in the Saturn version (nor the anime). - Difficulty is subjective, imo. I beat both games and didn't notice any increase or decrease in difficulty. Could just be that I'm a beast gamer. Other than that, both games are completely identical.
