    My partner although she has made positive comments about them and bought me a couple but i know deep down she couldn't really give two hoots about them. Which is fair enough. She has her things and I have mine. What is good is that she is accepting the fact it's my hobby and doesn't give me grief over it or how much money i spend.

    This evening I caught up with a friend who i hadn't seen in quite a while and when she saw my collection of Valkyries her reaction was quite pleasantly surprising! Her exact words were.. I love your collection! These things are f@#king sexy! Well yes.. yes they are!

    @Saburo @Yeti Great photos guys! I know of all the horror stories surrounding the original Zero releases but in a way I kinda regret not ever buying any of them.. would have been interesting to experience the difference between then first hand. The closest thing to that for me was the v1 & v2 Yamato VF-1 lines but they were years apart with a big gap in between them whilst I had stopped collecting altogether..

    that's better at least.. the last wedding I went to lasted ALL friggin day.. I don't know the ins and outs of mold making but it sounds somewhat complex yes? without the degas machine how else do you manage to get the bubbles out?

    Yeah is a bit sloppy especially for the premiums we pay but hey at least its an easy fix and after you wouldn't notice it ever happened!

    unlike the VF-1 GU-11 gunpod the VF-0 GPU-9 gunpod has no pre-drilled holes to attach the metal loops.. but im sure you could carefully drill those holes. The other issue is the VF-0 gunpod is substantially larger and the gun straps for the GU-11 will not be long enough and look too small and or silly.. I have a few left over straps but im not so willing to try this myself..

    a little more messing about with my display.. I switched around the forward canards on the SV-51y so they point rearwards instead of forwards.. I much prefer them this way actually! yes I know this way they aren't "anime accurate" bla bla bla but im not really fussed about that.. And besides the static wick things on the vertical stabilizers and elevators also point rearward so now they and the gold painted graphics all match! Kinda makes it look more SV-52-ish don't you think!

    this is the best I could do without making the pose look silly or awkward.. they definitely aren't as pose-able as the 25 & 29.. the legs are further apart than what they appear to be in the photo though.. and that bloody humongous gun pod is sooo goofy and difficult to get both sides sitting level when open.. bit of Bandai fail right there..

    doing a little more display re-shuffling.. trying out some dynamic battroid poses on a Flightpose stand. Seems to work quite well!

    yes the 48's do look really great in fighter mode! but kinda awkward in battroid due to some funny proportions. Still a great toy if you can find them and at a decent price!

    that's a good rare find! even for that money its a bargain considering who it is and the physical size of the 1/48's!! Congrats, Very nice!
