Just managed to preorder the Kai for $260. Is that a decent price?

They might announce during the event? Just missed this in Tokyo by a day.

Only saw the VF-2SS briefly. A Bic Camera staffer was putting security tags on them before shuffling a stack away. So far haven't seen a single box available after that. Must rely on you on guys for moar pics!

Great members are able to get their mitts on this one. I snagged a second, and both mine will be out in May from two different retailers. Differing price but not too substantial. Now onto the wait for the true Astraea. -
I'm in the same mind about being hyped for the 31A and not the Kai. It comes down to the lottery situation, which happened to the 10th Anniversary Metal Build Exia right off the bat, and the other quality releases hogging my $$$. The Metal Build Astraea Type F was the biggest deciding factor, and with my budget allocated to that preorder, the Kai will get a pass. Bandai still wins. Oh the irony!

They have a set amount of units available and once the allocation is filled, the preorder is closed. Also, apart from gundam being super popular, the line has unique redesigns not available in any other form, save for expert builders able to convert gunpla. -

Completely screwed by p Bandai. Friend managed to direct me to a local shop that had secured Japanese preorders(!). Rushed out to grab the preorder and when I arrived they had already presold their allocations. I had called ahead and they honoured my preorder thankfully, but the next guy in line couldn't get his preorder in. Obviously they have more for a larger mark up come release, but just glad to have sorted one out. -

Looks like this is gonna be a hard one to grab. Normally I'd see preorders locally but so far nothing. Even the slightest hint of a Hong Kong version slowed the webpage to a crawl. -

I hope the P Bandai preorders don't close within minutes for this thing. Would prefer the white Astraea but since it's been 2 years since this was revealed, I'll take what I can get. The red will hopefully look nicer once they have decals etc on it, and maybe adjust the colour a little? -
The F wasn't a web exclusive, and I also think it depends on the item's popularity. The Metal Builds sold out even though they were web exclusives. I'm sure NY didn't have the Destiny Full Package open long during preorder.

Bandai shouldn't have cancelled Mirage's parts...they are just awaiting the green light. Considering the April preorders are slowly trickling in, I wouldn't be surprised if it's scheduled between April and June release. I mean the Kairos came out of left field without any previous prototype. Have hope!
