Does NY have the same preorder time as AmiAmi? If its that much hassle I'd rather pay more than go down fighting with nothing to gain.

Sorry to hear that chronicidal. Yeah I feel everyone's frustration when transforming. First time I tried to transform my alto, I was sweating like a boar...took forever in case I applied too much pressure, especially on the part which clips onto the underside of the top plate. When I hear the plastic creak I am filled with dread. New 171 seems a bit less scary but still the joints are super tight.

I just spoke to a shopkeeper who has a branch in Japan. He says if its a product from banco-bandai he can get it directly from them as he runs a video game business. Wonder if that's a valid route? Yeah I heard NY overcharges, hence why the rvf 25 is still up for PO

How consistent is amazon Japan? I'm thinking of preordering via proxy on their site. It's very annoying to have a heart attack each time the release draws near, whether for preorder or actual ship date. I ordered once from HLJ but not from AmiAmi. Are they any more reliable? One last thing is how much wiggle room is there to directly preorder in Japan? I'm seeing if its anywhere as bad within Japan as it is for us.

Thanks for the tip. Just such a hassle; buying toys is more infuriating than anything that we should be stressed about! Crazy. Hopefully Bandai will make a little more stock available and not just the handful they give up like scraps to us. God I'm so excited for the retool that-- need a change of pants haha

hahaha no...I wish! Pushing it with three, but I REALLY like the idea of squadrons! I wonder what I'll do if they announce the VF-27 CF 1.5? Probably have to starve for three months to afford a trio. But man I'd love to see all six...he could make two squadrons...all we need is the radome version

after some scouring, i managed to pick up three of these beauties, and they are a definitely worth the money. CF units are a favourite of mine, as you can make a squadron, and I so do love my aircraft. Never bought the SV-51 CF, but beige never suited it. So far I transformed only one unit and it is very tight around the leg pivot. The only gripe is the patches of oil on the plastic when you pull it out the first time. Best to check your boxes in case it causes any long term effects. Another thing I've noticed is the better paint job QC over the 171 EX, and the pilot figure is very detailed. If I have some time and space I'll do a squadron picture. Shame the stand doesn't have any markings on it. Anybody else planning on a Nightmare Plus squadron?

Hi everyone! Been a lurker for a couple o years ever since I came to Asia and started on Yammies. Wanted to know when do preorders usually start? A day or two before or after Bandai's own preorder? Hoping to camp on hlj like everybody here! On another note, I'm surprised Bandai even bothered with retooling, as they clearly didn't give a rat's arse about collectors of anything other than gundam. Still, I'm very happy the 27 is getting made, as I had qualms over the v1 27 after the v2 25s were so well made. Maybe there are people in Bandai who are huge fans and realized a little nip and tuck wouldn't cost a fortune, but at the same time create the perfect 27? I'd like to think the 1.5 wasn't completely motivated by money. I mean they could have given us the same thing in a new box with three extra pieces of plas-- I mean super parts and call it a day. I say Bandai is listening to Macross fans now. But I still haven't see my 25g super parts......
