This makes too much sense. It'll never pass the Bandai logic sensors! If they could give us what we wanted in the Hi-Metal R line, there's hope in a mission bundle or at the very least, the delay we are seeing for Mirage's supers are because of them adding in missiles.

There are a reason why they are getting so hard to obtain. Kawamori said it himself they are wrapped in tortillas! Joking aside, the way Hot Toys does things is to add something to the package for event attendees. That's a decent compromise if you ask me. You go to the show and queue up like mad and they give you an extra Iron Man helmet or accessory, or you order normally outside of the show afterwards.

I hope the lottery is still generous. Maybe it'll end up as abundant as previous valks but the lottery part is a marketing ploy?

Kairos! Kinda biased since this is the VF-31 thread but the Arcadia probably won't be as hard to find as this since this won't be getting a reissue. Not sure about popularity of the Garland as I have no clue about the series from which it's from.

We need the accompanying super parts before they go announcing Arad and Chuck's! Also I'm so surprised still at the Kairos announcement so early in the schedule...March can't come soon enough.

How much did CDJ charge you to ship to Hong Kong? Wondering how close the prices are compared to local preorder prices.

Thanks for the info! Looks like they'll add Arad's and be done with it then.I suppose they'll need to add missiles to the eventual super parts or else those CFs will look pretty bare.

Either way it's still worth the price of admission if it turns out as good as the other releases. Wondering if they'll do another Kairos based on another squadron? I don't know exactly- one of you can probably point it out to me, but wasn't there more than one kind of container unit? Or was the missile container a custom job without any sort of actual canon concept art?

I'll fondly remember my Ivanov. It was the first Macross valk I ever bought, the one that started off my collection. The collecting market has changed so much since then. Still, what an awesome design.

Thanks for the update. It's a tad darker than the scale model; wonder if it'll turn out lighter in the final production unit?

The Kairos saved me from putting down a deposit for the Hayate Tamashii exclusive. I'm gonna wait it out until December since the shop I looked at put a 40% markup on the Hayate, and by then, everyone is gonna be priced similarly. I was pretty torn since the shop guaranteed delivery with their people physically going and picking up the stuff, but the Kairos literally two days later made my week/month/year. I think even with the lottery system, Bandai may end up producing many units by just limiting each lottery to a certain number, then reopening ita second or third time. Everything's up in the air but worth a gamble for a cheaper valk.

P-Bandai Hong Kong charges a flat shipping rate, regardless of the amount of items you have shipped that month. I would expect Japan to work in the same vein.

Preordered a pair at my local place. Looking to get a third once the March release looms closer.

No probs dude! You'll really like it as it's a blast to transform considering it's relative complexity, but it also isn't a floppy mess after a few transformations. I absolutely love my VF-27 but after a few transformations it can't stand properly. No such issues with the 31s.

Grab the 31. It's amazing how far the Bandai designers have come and the valk is pretty nice looks wise. I highly recommend it. I just wished the 25s were done like the 31s, then they'd be perfection in both design and engineering.

Between this, its super parts and Mirage's supers, I'm happy to skip the remaining releases. The Kairos was definitely top 3 in my wanted list of valks, and the valk designs were far superior to the story they were made for. Wonder why Bandai is releasing the Kairos before finishing the squad? Also: where the hell are the Mirage parts?!

Does it say anywhere that the numbers will be stickers like the VF-27s? Cos it'd be weird to have a whole squadron of 03 numbered Kairos, even though stickers are not exactly ideal.

Thanks for clearing that up. Will try to get one from the event via my usual guy, but not sure how popular these will be. Hopefully it won't go to MB Heine Destiny levels. Waiting for the tamashii online ordering takes another month or two, so maybe it'll release sometime around March next year if we miss the event's first lot.

The super parts look like they don't ship with the J but with the way they're showing it, looks like they might. Price seems to point in the opposite direction.
