Ya this is what I meant. The copies NY are securing are *technically* preowned but unopened, outside of the TWE shipper. Wonder what they are paying for them? Mandarake offers $$$ to buy figures off collectors, so perhaps it's a similar deal?

Means the actual brown shipper probably was the one Bandai used to send said valk to the previous owner. This was then sold on, then onto you. I've had TWE items sent directly from Bandai and the brown shipper is plastered with the usual postage stickers. If they gave you a shipper without that, means they got it in bulk.

This whole fiasco is more about NY not being straight up when asked a direct question. I don't buy from them anymore, but you'd think maybe they'd be wiser when so many people are frustrated not just with the missing Valks, but their handling of it. Suppose they probably won't cave until it's too late and if they do, they'd end up liquidating and taking everyone's money with them. On that note, I think HLJ does a great job. Minus them not doing the TWE

There's hope for anyone still left out in the cold. Loopaza's shop has one unsold for $365. They jacked up the price but it's not on their website.

What was meant to be the usual cycle of anticipation, F5 stressing and then photo taking has really turned so sour. It's just page after page of disappointment and frustration. Really hope this gets sorted so everyone here can return to what we love about Valks, not the anger at being unable to obtain them. Good luck to everyone still holding out for NY!

There's hope yet then. Maybe Bandai will try n fulfil NY's orders. If so that can only bode well for the eventual cooling of the aftermarket price too.

I guess I'm using the board's wording with the whole grail thing, but it just means I really like the design. That's it.

Valks are going fast. Locally they are being snapped up and the prices are on the up. This is the fastest I've seen a valk's price go up and it's availability go down.

Value is only what we assign something. For me, the Kairos is a special valk. Never had a low viz valk before, as I wasn't into Macross or know of its existence until a few years before Frontier. So this holds value in my collection not in monetary worth but just cos it's cool looking.

Looks like the last few Kairos units will both be our grail pieces and that of scalpers too. Still wondering where those super parts are.
