  1. Not sure if anyone here is a Silent Hill. Haven't been a fan of the series since SH4. I've been thinking about SH2 again and looking for a good copy since I traded my original in many moons ago. I never really understood the popularity of SH2 behind it revolving around Pyramid Head. It's still a good game and one of the best in the series. I still liked the first game just a little more.
  2. New story DLC for Bioshock Infinite. I'm glad we're going back to Rapture. I thought Ken Levine did better with dark survival horror environments like System Shock 2 and Bioshock.
  3. Sadly, my Nintendo was sold after my parents noticed it was getting very little use. The same with my Genesis later on. I made certain that stopped with my Playstation titles. A friend of mine back in the day, who owned Xenogears, offered to let me borrow it, for which I declined. Stupid 15 year old me. Yes! I'm glad there are people who still remember this game. I had the original Jane's USNF 95 Gold, USNF 97, Fighters Anthology and USAF. Remember missions rolling in on a target after taking down two Mig-29s, bombing my targets and feeling like such a boss , only to get tagged by some shmuck Tunguska AA I didn't see as I was bugging out.
  4. The Su-27 has nothing on mother nature as far as knocking out an F-16/F-2. @raptormesh: Great picture. I still wonder if the YF-23 could serve as an effective replacement for the F-15E. The Black Widow looks like it could carry a decent bomb load, better than the Raptor can atleast.
  5. Sadly, I played Xenosaga before Gears. I only played Xenogears when it was released on PSN since finding a half decent copy (With original jewel case and manual) for under $30 is pretty difficult. The game was a real experience and there aren't many games out there that left me thinking about them 2 weeks after completing them. Persona 4 was indeed a great game although I haven't completed it yet.
  6. Not sure if the brighter colors and simplified stories would have appealed to me even when I was a kid. Granted, my first JRPG experience was FF6, which was fairly grim. It just seems like with most current gen Japanese RPG titles, the developers are trying too hard to cater to young Japanes teens with a few exceptions like The Last Story and Xenoblade. Neither of which I've played but heard alot of good things about. Found myself going more retro with most of the JRPGs I've played in the past year or two having been from the Playstation era.
  7. So are the anime-based JRPGs (Tales of Grace f, Atelia series) worth checking out? I've been somewhat starved of a good JRPG for awhile now. I've been a long time Final Fantasy fan but haven't really enjoyed any of the games since after FF9 (11 doesn't count ). Valkyria Chronicles was the last JRPG I really enjoyed. Currently playing through Ni No Kuni and loving the art, music and battle system. I'm 20 hours in and the story hasn't really drawn me in yet and I think I've heard the word 'jeepers' enough for one lifetime. I know it was geared towards children but still wish the localization was alittle more palattable.
  8. I just want a traditional AC again like AC4. I left the series after AC Zero and have only glanced back as the series was taken down many different dark alley's.
  9. This is why it's funny reading all the fanboy comments about the Flanker being the best fighter in the world because of these airshow maneuvers.
  10. I love that bird. Shame we'll never get to see her fly again.
  11. For such a large and heavy fighter, the Flanker series has always impressed me with how agile they are, even without thrust vectoring.
  12. Took that scene right out of The Hurt Locker was my first thought. This game is going to have some pretty extreme moments and theme's in it.
  13. I'm just a huge fan of Nobuo Uematsu and wish he had stayed with SE. I never played FF13-2 or 14.
  14. Kojima seems to have more enjoyment in telling Big Bosses story over Solid Snakes, atleast after the original MGS. MGS2 was so-so and left a weird taste in my mouth. MGS3 won me back over and was a nice graphical leap over 2. I'm seeing the same occur between MGS4 and 5 now.
  15. Sony gave MS one big middle-finger with that presentation. Frankly though, I didn't see anything to entice me into purchasing either new console anytime soon. Going to stick with current and retro titles, and PC for awhile. When I do decide to make my choice, it'll be the PS4 hands down. Called it on them renaming Versus. FFXV admittedly looks better than XIII. I never really liked Tetsuya Nomura's style of storytelling though. I hope they atleast get a good musical score, something the series has lacked since FFX. I'm saddened to see that The Last Guardian is still MIA.
  16. I share this sentiment as well. Although, I think it should have ended after FFX. I would rather see SE develop a new original JRPG or revive an old series like Chrono. Think it's been confirmed that Versus XIII is dead and has been morphed in XV so you may see a completely different game as opposed to what they showed those few years ago.
  17. Well it's confirmed that Kiefer Sutherland is going to be the voice of Snake in MGS5. Also confirmed is the time setting, which is 1984. http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/06/06/kojima-reveals-voice-of-snake-in-metal-gear-solid-v.aspx
  18. Never got the chance to play Alien 3 on the SNES. I read good things about it as a kid though. For me, this is still an iconic video game adaption of a movie and one of my favorite games from the 16-bit era.
  19. Finished Bioshock Infinite last night and while this sounds cliche, it really was a great game and is definitely worth owning. One of those few games that made me sit back and really contemplate upon finishing it. It wasn't without some disappointments. After having watched some of the past trailers, I was saddened to see many notable scene's not end up in the final product.
  20. Most of the game franchises that have kept me following consoles since the PS1 (Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Resident Evil) are either dead in my eyes or heading in that direction. I haven't been impressed with the current generation library, sparing a few gems. I'm most likely going to take a sabbatical with this generation to re-explore PC gaming. If I ever do pick one of the new consoles however, it'll probably be the PS4.
  21. Dirge of Cerberus sold well? Personally, I would rather see SE make something new or re-explore long lost franchises like the Chrono series and Secret of Mana. If they remade FFVI however, that would be different.
  22. Yes, I really couldn't stand the endless ranting by Chopper and Edge, and the over-the-top anti-war dialogue in AC5. The missions were nice but I still preferred AC4 as far as story. Is there a kit for the F-15s from ACZero?
  23. I actually liked the original Battlefront over BFII.(PS2) I played BFII for about a month and then went back to the first game.
