    Wow. I stumbled upon this last night and I was blown away. Truly a high-end toy. I love the concept and sculpt. It almost seems like a modern update on the VOTOMS concept. I'm sure finding one will be pretty hard and cost a pretty penny but I'll have to put it on my want list. I'll also have to keep an eye out for new pre-orders. I really really love this picture: You don't get much more real robot than that. haha Anybody know where I can get one of these?

    That's the first bit of news since all this got started that actually got me excited. Now the buying panic is officially over. I think I'll go back and pre-order one now, even though I don't want it. Now that I know there is a push to maybe have more products. I can always sell it or trade it for something else.

    Yeah I've seen that article. No word from Hot Toys and I'm not into Playarts stuff. I'm sure their will be new releases this fall around the movie release, but I wanted this anime accurate one

    All plastic will break down eventually. Some people get lucky and get good batches of plastic, and some people get parts made from the gunk at the bottom. Way it's always been with toys unfortunately. Their are toys from the 80's that have never yellowed, and toys from 5 years ago that are yellow. Nothing to do but treat them well and hope for the best.

    This thing is beaaaaaaautiful. The box is a little warped on the flap, but it's in good shape otherwise. Really excited to display this guy.

    Yeah.. I sometimes wonder if being a part of a macross community is helpful. It's like locking a group of sex addicts in a room to "help" them haha. My 30th Anni Hikaru TV finally showed up today. Excited to open it tonight.

    Since 1982. How meta. Kind of silly since the VF-1 wasn't designed until well after 1982 in the Macross timeline.

    Well.. I'm not waiting it out on the price. I just don't want it. I still don't want a VF-4G. The 4G had the benefit of Yamato going belly up right after it was released. People freaked out. It was a special situation and a perfect storm. Plus, it wasn't a VF-1. It's a different sculpt entirely from a video game. If Arcadia starts pumping out fruity color schemes .. I doubt these will rocket in price. People know more are coming.. and will realize it's just another VF-1. Plus these will have Hasegawa kits. The VF-4 didn't. That I know of. So there is a cheaper alternative. I could see them maybe selling for $250-300 on ebay to people who don't know better. You might make $75-$100 bucks after you pay for shipping and fees if you're trying to speculate. I could be totally wrong. They could be worth $1000's. But I doubt it.

    It just seems like a cash grab to me. They know the market is there or rare valks wouldn't be going for 4 times their value. They aren't stupid. Reward them for making items fans want, not just throwing something at the wall and hoping it sticks. Honestly, how many vf1s do you have? If the paint job isn't attractive why buy it? But its up to each collector and what value they see. Somebody may think this is the best valk evaarrr. Also, who knows how their Qa and packaging will pan out? Ill let you guys be the guinea pigs this time around :0

    I think it should be reported so Bandai can correct the issue. There is no reason a new toy should be scratched, especially one with that price tag. That said, It's not the end of the world, as I can't really see them unless I look closely. If it comes down to the wire between a Bandai unit and some other toy in the future, it might affect my decision to buy from them if I haven't heard that it is corrected. I would be super pissed if I got one with a missing piece. Bottom line, somebody in their chain isn't doing their job.
