Hey Mr March, what do you use to color your lineart? It might be fun to try coloring my own, to see how they look.

I'd rather they just stick to MP G1s. After collecting movie toys for awhile, I broke out some of my Classics and starting playing with them. After working out some really bad-ass poses with Mirage, I kinda realized that the Bayformers may have worked fine for the movie, but they're kinda crappy toys.

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 - <<Season 1>>

Hey, kinda OT, but I didn't feel like starting a new thread over it, but Bandai USA licensed the Z Gundam movies over a year ago for a US release, right? Does anyone know when those are actually due to hit, or did I miss them somehow? -

Char had his ridiculously big sunglasses in Zeta, but otherwise, no one, no one, and no one. And I don't recall anyone with a mask in ZZ, either, but in any case, they're unnecessary as the original masked man, Char, is still around, mask or no. And to me, everything from First Gundam to Char's Counter Attack is one story, everything after in the UC timeline and all of the AU Gundams try to reinvent the wheel, so to speak. Some have been quite good (Turn A), others garbage (SEED Destiny). And aside from Gundam X (although Jamil's shaggy hair and big sunglasses do sorta scream Quattro Bagina), every one of them has had some guy with a mask. (X might, too... it's been a long time since I've seen it). I wasn't going to look into SEED that much, but since you did it for me... Perhaps the staff is superstitious. The Japanese word for "four" is phonetically identical to "death." A masked man piloting a Mobile Suit, even if it's not a Gundam, would be par for the course. -

Because I highly doubt MGS4 will actually arrive in March. If it does, though, so much the better. -
So...what's your favorite science fiction series?

Firefly was entertaining enough, but I think I'd actually have a three-way tie between Macross, Gundam, and Star Trek. Star Wars is overrated. -

I'd be more excited if I hadn't seen that movie already and regretted it. That movie was awful. -

The 360 launched with Call of Duty 2 and PGR3, both of which were better than any of the PS3's exclusives so far, and Gears of War came out just under a year from launch. And while I'll give you that a console doesn't have a lot to go on during that first year, the PS3 will be two by the time MGS4 or Final Fantasy XIII come out. And while I've been hearing good things about Ratchet & Clank, I don't see it moving systems the way Gears of War did. -

GN-001 Gundam Exia GN-002 Gundam Dynames GN-003 Gundam Kyrios GN-005 Gundam Virtue So, yeah, four's the missing number, and there would be five total Gundams. Gee, what other series did I watch with 5 Gundams fighting to end war (well, by the end, anyway)? I'm guessing that the Double O in the title doesn't refer to a specific Gundam, but rather the fact that all the Gundams are double O #. And honestly, I'm not sure why everyone's saying that the mysterious Gundam at the beginning looks like the RX-78. It does resemble the RX-78 more than any other Gundam in the show, but no more so than the Strike Gundam from SEED. -
Wal-Mart. The transforming box at Target sound pretty cool, but I know I'm going to wind up buying the HD-DVD version later, when I finally cave and buy the 360's HD-DVD drive. So the main thing I'm looking at is the bonus content, and the extra DVD at Wal-Mart's definitely got extra content. Oh, and I already have the Robot Heroes Primes... the first one, the Matrix one, and the movie one. And since I really only collect certain lines or Primes (and Robot Heroes isn't one of my lines), I couldn't care less about Cliffjumper (I'm still wondering what to do with Ravage, Unicron, and Blackout).

True. But you can blame Sony for lack of worthwhile 1st party software, for lack of competitive pricing because they were busy cramming Blu-ray down our throats, for arrogantly assuming that everyone was going to rush out and buy it simply because it has the name "PlayStation," taking for granted the fact that dominating the industry one day does NOT guarantee domination in the future (otherwise, we'd still be playing Atari consoles), or general lack of some other function to set the PS3 apart from the 360. Don't get me wrong... I know a lot of people, including people on these boards, never owned an Xbox, due to its lack of Japanese software, and bought PS3s figuring that Sony would maintain dominance in Japanese software or even gaming in general. And I know some of those people held off on buying a 360, and some of them bought the PS3. And to those people who own a PS3 and don't have a 360 or a Wii, they're not screwed. There are good games out for the PS3, and there are more great games coming. The problem, though, is that a lot of people did buy 360s, and a lot of the good games for the PS3, present and future, will also be 360 games, so even with a price drop, there's not a lot of incentive for 360 owners to pick up a PS3. And for those who have held off on both, the 360 still has more better exclusives. Lair and Heavenly Sword just aren't holding up against Halo 3, Gears of War, BioShock, Forza 2, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, etc. Metal Gear Solid 4 looks great, but so does Mass Effect, and how is Sony really supposed to catch up when we don't get a must-have exclusive for two years after launch, which was already a year behind? The Red Ring of Death can only deter so many people as long as Microsoft's fixing them, and they've got the games. -

Ditto. And I'd hate to judge a show from a single episode, but so far, it's shaping up to be my least favorite since Wing. The animation, like SEED, was flashy, but I'm not sure what's actually going on, and we know next to nothing about the characters. I'd expect that to be remedied as the series goes on, but it still strikes me as of poor story-telling when, instead of giving us a main character and a hook, they overload us with characters we're not likely to remember next week and a vague "WTF?" feeling. Frankly, the only thing I liked at all is that Gundam Kyrios looks kinda like Zeta in Waverider mode. Too bad it's the only time it looks like Zeta... I'm really disliking the MS designs. It's honestly kind of clever to have different mechanical designers do the MS for different factions, so they all look kind of unique, but they don't really look like they belong in a Gundam series too me. (Of course, I could have said the same thing about Turn A, but at least Turn A had a good story that hooked me on the first episode). -

At least it's just a delay shaft, as opposed to to crappier version shaft. There doesn't seem to be a lot of "equal releases" on both systems; one version is often clearly better, and even if they are the same, I've made it my policy to go for the 360 version because, as David pointed out, you get meaningless Achievements. I can honestly say I bought a PS3 for three reasons, and only three reasons. 1.) Blu-ray. 2.) The eventual release of God of War III. 3.) Because, at heart, I'm a tech junkie and couldn't stand the fact that there was a shiny new console out there that I didn't own. -
I never completed a Gestalt. The only subline I ever completed were the Insecticons. And even then, just the real Insecticons, not the Deluxe Insecticons that came from Bandai. But I gotta agree with prometheum5, it's all about Devastator. Predaking would be a close second, but the Constructicons came first, had more screen time, and did awesome stuff like turn Optimus Prime into an alligator. As for the rest, they all kinda ran together in the end.

But the Wi-Fi blows; after having it drop every 3-5 minutes, I got so fed up with it that I ran a wired connection. The larger HDD would be great if Sony actually gave us something to do with it (ala Microsoft's Video Marketplace). And all the perceived value in the world doesn't make up for the fact the best exclusive games have been, so far, either Xbox 360 (Gears of War, BioShock, etc) or Wii games (Super Paper Mario). That's not to say that the PS3 won't have good exclusives. There's still Metal Gear Solid 4 on the way, and I bought a PS3 banking on an eventual God of War 3. But Microsoft's got Mass Effect coming, and Nintendo has their stable of first party goodness, so Sony's still playing catch up for top-tier exclusives. We can talk about Blu-ray and what not, but when push comes to shove, it's really the exclusives that separate the 360 and the PS3 in the eyes of the gamers. -
It's not a rumor. I went to the store I used to work for the other day, and they were happy to show me the figure.

I'm too lazy to link to it, but Kotaku has a pretty funny video of what was either painstakingly set up, or the luckiest grenade toss in the history of Xbox Live.

Hot damn! I picked up the "Robo-vision" Voyager Prime at Target because, despite the truck kibble on his back, I thought he looked a little better than the Leader Prime. But if I could repaint like that, I'd have gone for a Leader in a second. That Prime's looking HOT.

Groups 3, 4, and 5, sure. But Pirates of the Carribean: The Good One, Swordfish, the Prestige, and Superman are all worthy picks. I'd have gladly traded two fo the ones I picked in the summer one to have two of those four instead. -
Just got back from my local Target. They had a repaint of the Scout-class Arcee, Elita-One. I had to pick it up, as I passed on the previous scout-class, never found the deluxe class, and Elita-One is actually colored closer to G1 Arcee than either of them (kind of a brownish red). Not bad at all for a scout-class toy, although the arms are a little funky.

And I think that it's been overshadowed by the 360's RRoD, but surely we haven't forgotten the PS2's plague of Disc Read Errors? At least Microsoft's owning up to their issues. And, for the record, I had a PS2 die from DRE, but I'm still playing my launch day 360. *hurries and knocks on wood* -
I'm just going in with an open mind. Macross 7 may not be the serious sequel that people were hoping for, but I liked it for what it was.
