Alright, I just gotta ask. WTF exactly is e-hobby? I keep seeing all of these repaints and crap listed on ebay when I'm looking for MISB G1's and a lot of it comes up as e-hobby.

Imagine how unbalanced Rumble would be with all of that mass hanging off of the arms. The last few Alts I've gotten had pretty weak ankle joints so he would have to be beefed up a bit in that department to stand. Also, the shoulders and elbow joints would need to be stronger in order to get any good poses from it.

Surivival of the fittest would play an important role in the longetivity of either species. Meaning that since the Zentradi clones were bred with optimal genes and characteristics, the once multi-raced population would eventually become a mainly Zentradi population. Then the "majority rules" ideology would cause a power struggle in which the Zentradi would stop cloning the natural humans in an effort for total dominance. Natural humans that have inferior genes would eventually die out and Earth would become dominated by Zentradi.

To Shoji's credit, the mechanics of the VAN Force Lego thingy look interesting. I was going to toy around with this (no pun intended) on the weekend to see what additional pieces would be needed to make a sturdy variable Lego set. Even the set that you build from he 7700 box alone is close to being a variable model.

Given the fact that nearly ALL Transformer fans agree that the G1 Ironhide toy sucked ass, I would think that a new Ironhide would fly off the shelves regardless of what model they made it from.

I tried to warn you. The Van-Force thing is worthless without glue. The sets themselves are cool though. I just built the alt mode with my son this weekend and it's a cool set.

OK, I spent the past three hours putting this together. Impressions: VERY UNSTABLE. The connections between the larger groups is very weak and doesn't hold up well (in some areas, only one stud is holding the part on). Actually getting the damn thing together is a pain, and will probably fall apart on you in the process. Instructions are complex, and the ones provided on Brickshelf are slightly better but not by much. Is it worth the $30 to build it? In my opinion, no, but the sets are actually kinda cool in their own right. My kid will probably love them when I take this apart and build the actual sets. It looks cool and all from Shoji's pictures, but I'd pass on this one.

I wonder if it would be possible to make one out of the CAT vehicles that you find in Target or Wally World. I haven't spotted a crane yet, but I know there is a dozer and dump truck and tractor. Just need a cement mixer and a crane, or maybe work in the land grader.

Just seen a 1:24 Hummer today, and it might need to be scaled down to be at a reasonable price point. That thing was huge compared to the other cars. It would make a really impressive figure though. Maybe I'll pick it up and try my hand at a custom or something.

What about making a Bumblebee and Cliffjumper out of a Mini Cooper?

I think they could have stuck with the original ideas and made Ironhide a mini van. They kept Hound as a Jeep so why not? At least this time he could be done right.

At least two of them are new designs...

Some of the ones are based on saying something really stupid or funny. Others (such as mine) are based on doing something nice for the board, such as the world map I did which badly needs updating.

The legs look too big, but other than that it's a nice toy.

Does this list include cult classics? I can't stand any of the Kevin Smith movies, but I know quite a few people who think this moron is a genius when it comes to movie making and that anything he does is on some "must see" list. The only movie of his that was even remotely funny was Dogma.

I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone say "dude you've GOT to see this movie." The only reason why these people liked it is because they were hardcore AC/DC fans. I finally gave in and regretted every minute of it.
