My sets are finally on their way from BBTS-can't wait! I know FP made a white version of the Superion add-on set which looked great when coupled with the Energon versions of the jets, so there's a good chance the same might be done for Bruticus.

Alt mode is one real funky looking gunship bristling with gatling guns and missiles-I like it! There is no mechanism to spin the main rotor, it just spins freely, but there are a couple of individual blades that have trouble locking into place. Transformation is very simple and the resulting bot mode looks just his cartoon counterpart. He's surprisingly articulate, and he sports quite a menacing look when all the guns are in place. The rear portion of his alt mode becomes a weapon that launches the rear rotor as a disc, and it launches quite far. He's a great toy, I just wish he was a little larger. Not bad for someone who just got 15 seconds of screen time!

After tinkering around with it, I feel like I got my money's worth with MP Grimmy. The only things I found wrong with mine is a big crinkle on the blue visor and some really tight knee joints. I might have to tighten up the hip joints a bit, but all in all it's a real fun toy. So at $60, I don't miss the pointy teeth and kitchen ware the Japanese version has.

Wow, x-mas in August! Quite a shipment came in: I'm gonna feel like a total ass if that Challenge at Cybertron set ever comes out in the U.S., but I didn't want to miss out on the best version of Henkei/Classics Cyclonus. It's not lavender like the Henkei nor does it have the chrome wings, and it's not as dark as the Classics version-it's a fair color balance bewteen the two. Rodimus looks ok and Galvatron looks just fine in his OG colors in bot mode, but I may not like seeing an all white Merkava tank as an alt mode. As for Blackout and Grimmy, I can't wait to open them!

Your best bet is to go to their site and order directly from their shop. Incidentally, they're offering pre-orders for a KO of Impossible Toys' not-Arcee figure. It looks leagues better than IT's lackluster offering, but it costs $100 .

Yep, it's the one in Sunnyvale, CA. Really it's just the traffic I face when going there after work that's scary. It's the one where I got Arcee, so I'm hoping I get the same luck with Rodimus.
-
Yup, mine's coming down the pipe also-woot! Now if they can they do the same for TFA Rodimus and Ironhide, I'll be set. I just don't like going down to the TRU over here, especially since it's haunted...

Maybe you can just save the money and wait until TF3 comes out. Leader Prime will surely have a toy, and he might even have a trailer then.
-
It's Prime as the Rolling Thunder vehicle from G.I. Joe.

Third party companies sure have come a long way: Xovergen. I wonder if this got Don Figueroa's o.k.?

If it's scratched and oxidized, you might not have a choice but to strip it and do it over.

Having found it today, I can say Brimstone is a great Scout. He reminds of a zombie with his lanky limbs and the lack of a lower jawbone. His spindly design allows for great posability, but it also makes him a tad more fragile. In particular, the shoulder ball joints are super tight on mine and they're also on the thin side, so I have to be more cautious moving them around. Anyways, he's a great addition to the growing Scout collection, and he's everything Cy-Kill wanted to be.

I like the new alt mode for Scourge. It looks more like an aircaft than the original's, which looked like a casket with boosters. I can't say much about the bot mode as I cant make out some details. There has been talk saying the pictured bot mode is mistransformed.

Not too long ago someone made a custom dinobot combiner from the G1 toys and called it Extinction. It looked pretty cool and you could tell the creator put a lot of work into it. It made me wonder what HasTak could do with new dinobots or even Predaking. It seems like animals are mostly ignored as alt modes recently.
-
Sure, it's a great idea. But it's still a PCC with no individual bot modes. Wouldn't it be great if Hasbro can expand that idea to a Deluxe sized scale for each limb with all the engineering prowess they gained between now and 1985?
-
I guess a couple of them wouldn't look so bad flanking a Classics Cyclonus...

I was thinking Perceptor was going to be a tank, but a half-track? I can dig it. But where are the bad guys?

First look at the next Generations line (Jazz!): Cybertron Convention

Weird, I would've had him pegged as a Naruto or even a Fruits Basket fan. MP Rodimus looks very promising. The trailer looks bigger than it should be in the rear, but that's just a minor quibble. I too am getting the vibe that Hot Rod is in there somewhere as kanedaestes pointed out. I also got Hasbro's 30 day notice email regarding MP Grimlock. I would definitely be peeved if my order ends up getting canned. Speaking of getting canned, did Evac (ROTF Blazemaster redeco) get cancelled? I thought he would've been on the shelves by now. I had plans of making it look like a Coast Guard heli.

It looks like TRU was flooded with WFC Prime and Bumblebee toys this weekend. Peg and Thrust were there too but in smaller quantities. After fiddling around with him a bit, I can safely say that Peg is a great toy, and larger than most of the Classics/Henkei stuff I have. He's definitely less of a joke to me now, and I just might pick up Blurr seeing as how much I like this sculpt.

Seeing the new TF:Prime designs reminded me of how I felt when I saw the TFA sketches for the first time. So if the story and writing is good it just might win me over too. Although Arcee and Cliffjumper look great from the get-go. I'm going to have to track down that shelf warming 2 pack of Bludgeon and Whirl from TRU after seeing this: Headrobots' Blood. That skull head looks great and I'm liking the cannon parts.
-
Alright! Priss got herself a new motoslave! Oh wait...
-
I got the same email from Hasbro. As long as my order isnt cancelled outright I'm happy. The weird thing is that when I placed my order the listing said the price was cut from $99.99. I didn't think MP Grimlock was supposed to cost that much.
-
I gave up the hunt: TRU's site has MP Grimlock available for preorder for $60 with free shipping on orders over $49. And HTS has the new Scouts Hubcap and Brimstone in stock if anyone else wants to save gas on toy runs .

Dang, that thing is huge! It looks like it might give Unicron a run for its money. Speaking of oversized, when is Warpath going to get his treatment? Powerglide and Seaspray are all in, but Warpath got assed out when Hasbro handed out the biggifying pills. I know I'd be down for a big red tank that said "Bang!" and "Pow!" all the time.
