The one I got looks more like the Action Base 1 (same shape), but with Sinanju decals. But good to know that the EXO's adapter replaces the whole piece. So apart from VF-1s, are these okay for say an armored VF-25S? Still looking around for decent stands for my VF and YF-19s

my main worry is the top most connector on the action base. I put 1 together recently for my HGUC Sinanju and despite having a screw, the thing felt very loose, and could easily swing either way. Do you guys have this issue>?

Guess what arrived yesterday? what a huge box! Also Rainbow canopy (good news for some, bad for others.. more worried about whether it can last) I've been looking around, and don't really have much of an idea how much this is going for now. But if it's as rare as you guys are saying, I'm now too afraid to even take it out and play, what with worrying about it turning yellow (pure white afterall), or the rainbow canopy peeling or other issues...

Ahh, darn. Guess it could be the transformation gimmick that limits the poseability. Hey, Kicker! Seeing as you have a ton of Valks, how do you go about storing your Valk boxes? If you folded the boxes, won't that damage the boxes?

Not that I don't like the TV version, but there's always this little sense of fear I have that the pure white TV version would yellow much faster (or at least more obviously) as compaared to the DYRL's off-white ones. Off course, that's just my paranoia speaking (he says this while trying to order a VF-1J with fast pack). I would agree that 180 is a tad pricey though, considering the other VF-1 options aren't that expensive. now that we may not even get a proper stand, I'm seriously reconsidering the gundam adapters.... are they good? How do they work and hold up? And what kind of poses can I pull off? Thinking of getting some for my VF-1s and YF/VF-19s.

Actually, while they're at it, I wish the strike/super pack wasn't attached just by 1 little rod for the VF-1s (unless I'm putting mine on wrongly).. it feels unstable

Is the Fix Figuration Metal composite line any good? I've seen the Unicorn ones go for insane prices, and it's my favourite Gundam at the moment (it's what got me back into Gundam, and my 1st entry into the UC timeline)

So to all the folks making panic purchases here... how are you gonna store all them HUGE ASS Yamato boxes, when you already have limited display space for the Valks themselves?

Get the one that you really like, plutoniumhunter. Personally, I'd get all 3. But if money is an issue, go with the one that you have the best memory of, and with the most value for money. Personally, I like DYRL A LOT (1 of my all time fav anime), so I got both Roy and Hikaru's VF-1S (and picked up 2 strike/super packs while I was at it).

It'd be interesting to see if Arcadia will carry on with the Macross license, and how they will practice business differently, moving forward. I'd be very afraid if they tried to emulate Bandai's way of selling Valks though.

I only collect those whose designs I really liked (also helps if I watched the show, but VF-19 Kai and P were exceptions). So for example, I can't stand the YF-21 and VF-22 designs, so I'd skip them.

Bought these just before the whole Yamato / Arcadia thing happened -mostly late last year VF-1S Hi-metal VF-1S 30th Anniversary (Roy and Hikaru) 2 x Strike/Super Packs VF-19Kai with Sound Booster Quad Rau x 2 (Max and Millia) VF-1A CF VF-19P More recently as a panic buy YF-19 1/60 v1 (2nd hand) Fold/Booster Pack (2nd hand) VF-1J with Fast Pack bundle (pending as the site may be a dud) VF-11B Probably nothing much in Yamato's catalog I really want. I wouldn't mind a YF-19 renewed package (preferably with Fold /boost pack) if I could get one Would still want a VB-6 and VF-25S/F (but those are Bandai)

You tried to buy the VF-1J after I posted that link? Haven't gotten any transaction cancellation request... yet..... Maybe I bought the last one or something like the 2 Quads I bought previously (keeping fingers crossed)...

I'm on the opposite. I love the YF-19 for the fighter and Battoroid mode. I hate the gerwalk mode, cause to me it looked quite unsightly. Might be the way the shoulder juts out.

Haha... does that mean my old 1/72 YF-19 (The very 1st YF-19 toy ever made by Yamato!) is now worth even more? Man.. I still regret getting that piece of crap.. It had so many problems, and the head sculpt is just terrible.

Will do! Been trying to get one myself. Took the plunge on a 2nd hand on Mandarake, but I've been having some weird problems paying them via Paypal. Payment keeps on failing, despite me having no problems with my credit card (my payment options in my Paypal account).

Dug up that thread about the ripoff. From the looks of it, I'm guessing they're just not focused on communicating to customers. With the 2 Quads I ordered, I took the risk as it was Paypal and I could always dispute that. They actually went through with it, and it disappeared off the website after my order was processed and confirmed. I guess they're just clearing old stock. I'll update you guys again about my VF-1J with Super if it goes South (I'll give them 2-4 weeks before I file for dispute), since they do ship it via EMS, it should arrive in my country in a week. Edit: Forgot to note, despite them offering freebies for purchases, I'm sure that offer has since lapsed years ago, so obviously I never got any freebies. Was glad to get my stock nonetheless.

Ahh crap. I wasn't aware. Funny thing was, I ordered 2 Queadluun-Rau (Millia and Max Color Ver) for $50 each just in December. And the items came and seemed fine. When you guys say they are super shady, what actually happened?

Yeap, $105 before shipping. The colours seem to match the pic, except for that Red Fast pack.. It's blue here.
