Thanks, man. Though there's no hurry, cause my super parts are also on their way, and I guess I'll be able to find out myself soon

okay, did a little googling and found this translation from a japanese review of the toy "Large output fold Wave projector has a built-in tip of the wings Super Parts." I guess fold wave amplifier is pretty much correct

Gonna ask a really silly question here.. but does anybody know what those "spear" rods that extend out on the super packs are for?

Well, NY still has it, and cheaper too
-
Any chance if anyone here with a YF-29 Alto can put the 30th ver super pack to show us what it looks like?

I wonder if that booth display also means the possibility of the armored parts reissue for the 25S and F. Also, can't wait for the eventual Ozma re-release.
-
man.. I hope the water slide decals are only relegated to the warning stickers.. because I sure as hell would hate to apply them if they're for the various Macross titles logos
-
sorry, I missed that. That said, it does list it as a pre-painted model, so I'm guessing the water transfer decals are minor stuff... like warning stickers and the Macross Kite. Or... it could be that the stripes are pre-painted, and that macross logos for each series are the decals... that'd make more sense.. and is kind of a turn off now that I think about it

True, though I usually have other orders from Amiami, so shipping works out to be pretty worth it for me when I ship multiple stuff together. HLJ, not so much unless they pull out one of their sales. Also, I can't ship it with my Frontier Valks, cause it would hit my Customs tax ceiling (7% tax on total cost exceeding S$400).
-
wouldn't it be funny, if all that paint on the plane itself was just water transfer decal? Which we had to apply ourselves?
-
Exactly Well, if it fits.... That's exactly what I'm doing haha Though, I might just cancel it right away, if Amiami's price will be lower To be fair, it is a VF-1 mold, something that should be cheaper than say.. a VF-25 Considering HLJ allows 10 per customer... I'd say not really. Wasn't it mentioned somewhere above it was made to order?
-
I wonder if this mold has the same holes to put in the Super/Strike Pack. I have a spare lying around, and if it fits, why not put it on anyway...

welp, super parts are back up again, albeit at a higher price of 5500. Is it just me, or did NY change their policy? I can't seem to choose "Pay Later". All I have is a pay now or bank wire option... I'm mixing it with my other preorders.. so maybe that might be the issue Edit: yeap, turns out you gotta pay in full if 1 of the items is in stock. Having trouble visualizing if this will be a good match for the Alto customs (because I sure as hell will not pay 3 times the price for that super pack).

man, wonder what it would look like to put the 30th ver super pack on the Alto version YF-29.

so only the 1st 200 get it at $189? How can any of us order it?
-
I think over paying for armour parts are okay, because we are still not sure if they will be reissued. Plus, they can be pretty hard to get. Just don't go paying double for those

Haha, I feel for ya man, but even if I do that, shipping from Singapore's probably gona be a killer. I did consider that, though the Max DYRL are pretty hard to come by, and when they do, they're pretty expensive, hence the consideration for a $70 Kakizaki (as lame as a pilot as he was hahaha)
-
So.. 2 x VF-1 Super/Strike Pack showed up on Amiami awhile ago (2nd hand), and were really cheap. I have a VF-1A CF already, so 1 of it is going there. I already have 2 packs at home for both my VF-1S Roy and Hikaru, and the VF-1J has its own Fast Pack. Wanna get some opinion if I should put down the $70 to get a VF-1A Kakizaki DYRL to wear that last pack. Or just get another CF.
-
I think what he meant was that will the VF-25F still be available after release, as with what happened with the VF-171CF - I posted that Amiami, surprising for a preorder centric site, had stock left. Off course, this could be attributed to the VF-171CF being not as popular. I'm of the view that the 25F would be scarce after release, and even if there were excess stock, they'd be swept out quickly.
-
yeah, I know. I didn't say they collected money and then disappear I guess they just aren't as popular as the big 3.

I too chanced upon them through an online search and snagged a YF-29 30th off them when at a point in time where it was sold out everywhere. It helped that they didn't list the words Macross for it I guess, but there it was sitting and available. Also got a VF-19P off them at huge discount, as it became on sale really quick. Turns out their system didn't effect the correct price, and I got charged in full, but they were quick to rectify it, and even notified me early so I could re-order it before it got snapped up.
-
Yeap, posted about this in the VF-27 and VF-25 threads already. Really sad to see them go. Now we have 1 less reliable source for Valks.
-
Yeah, that is probably the case. They intended to cancel preorders that are released in September. Frankly, I think it's amazing that they are still honouring preorders. Most shops would just disappear silently, and screw everybody over. Some would even collect the payment and then disappear with the money. Otacute are cool bros in my books for doing this.

I have a VF-25F from them. They did say they would honour preorders, and cancel those released from September onwards. The website will be gone by October. Selling toys has always been a rough business. Especially expensive ones like Valks. General consumers have moved on to electronic entertainment, playing casual games on their tablets and smartphones.
