quick question, since this is about the armour.. how can we tell which GBP is for the V1 and V2 respectively?

Every time I buy stuff for friends, I get super worried about crap like this. Fortunately, they usually stick to 1 figure per order, so if they ever stiffed out on me, I guess I'd be stuck with 1 extra figure....

yeah, what xrentonx said. NY tends to re-stock several times. Just be prepared to cough up the mark up dough, which I feel is a little fair given how hard it can be to procure these.

Yeah, that was my point to moose.. at least concerning NY's practices. For other retailers suddenly having stock (at least for HLJ), I believe it's due to cancelled orders (for whatever reason). The same for NY. When HLJ suddenly had stock for VF-171CF and RVF-25, quite a few peeps cancelled their NY orders.

is this how Bandai usually works? That's interesting. The general consensus here is that NY is just buying up (preorder) stock from other brick and motar shops locally, which explains the different mark up prices and the different stock availability each time they replenish. Also, I would hope this theory to be true, because it seems all the hot Bandai items always get sold out and almost never get restocked.. especially Frontier Valks.

on a slightly off note, seeing every place listing this as "Macross F - DX Chogokin VF-27Y Lucifer Valkyrie Super Parts Set" always gets me thinking what if this was just a preorder for the super parts only, and that the original VF-27 is not included. That would be terrible won't it? Off course it's all just a joke

I think partly that, coupled with the feelings of anxiety, on the possibility of not being able to secure one at even MSRP, and the next option being a very heavy mark up (NY has done it several times I believe).I think the majority of buyers here would gladly settle for MSRP, if they can even get it. that said, the VF-171 CF's release has been interesting, with it being quite abundantly available at relatively small mark up. I hope this trend continues so that many others will have a chance to score Frontier Valk releases.. even if it means paying that minor mark up. Scalper scum! Also I guess they'll just cancel the order. At this price, the buyer would probably be able to score a few, even with the mark up. Or he could do what he said in the T&C: -Item will be shipped after being released. The current shipping estimate from NY is Oct 7. If I failed to ship by Oct 14, buyer can choose a $25 refund or a cancellation with full refund. And if that happens, he can always relist them and still make a profit.

Oh yeah... I forgot to give an update. So it turned out the Scopedog I bought turned out to be the one with swappable transparent armour parts. It's a V2, as the right shoulder is a shiny metallic red, and the joints a pretty tight (like the video posted earlier). Didn't have much time to play with it, but it does feel pretty fantastic in hand. I just wish that I could find the right weapons pack to go with it, since the back feels so naked.

AE sold their VF-25F renewal reissue for full price, so it wouldn't surprise me if it were the same again

I keep seeing Tornado parts 2nd hand show up every now and then. But they aren't compatible with the Renewals right:? Anyway, chill out. As mentioned before in the VF-25 thread, this cycle always repeats itself. Eventually, everybody would have found 1 by the time it launched. The only thing is, would you mind paying a little over the MSRP?

that bad? Well, the thing about the YF-29 is that it looks pretty awesome on its own, even without the super parts.. I'm not too sure what it really adds other than an extra pair of boosters..

indeed. On the secondary market they're crazy expensive. I have the YF-29 30th anniversary colours and am awaiting the super pack for that. If push comes to shove, the YF-29 Alto will just be super parts less. He crashed the thing anyway
