  1. Bought mine from toysntoys yesterday along with my 1/60 Roy. Pretty good pricing. Hopefully they have binders ....i don't mind having just the binder. Hehehe.
  2. Speaking of Gradius.... i have this godly video of gradius 5 being played on most difficulty setting and the way the dude controls his options is beyond belief.........and some parts seem impossible to get past and he does it without breaking a sweat. >_<
  3. Without comparing them side by side, Exia Avalanche and 00 look pretty similar.
  4. No its not PVC...its just a plastic that allows some bending. If they used normal (ABS?) it would probably form a stress mark and snap eventually so Yamato did no wrong with the material choice here, but rather the design of the connector itself. I guess its a toss up. By allowing the hinge to move that way, the arms get greater articulation but because of that, reckless movement of the arm itself might cause the hinge to snap. On the 1/48, the hinge is locked tight against the torso's back so this was never an issue.
  5. You guys have to come to IRC. Tsuchiro is godly at finding streams.
  6. No stress marks as it is using a flexible plastic. But flexible doesn't mean its not breakable. Cuz they overcoated the transparent green as well as the reflective coat. Its too thick hence too dark.
  7. I'm guessing the leg fins can fold for a future sleeek GBP release? Or maybe the manual says somethig but i didn't even bother opening it.
  8. As stated on the other thread, the left shoulder on my valk came apart off the valk, just needs some super glue. So i voted 3rd option.
  9. on the 1/48, the shoulder connected to the balljoint and it had a hinge for the arms (above the bicep area) so it has some articulation there. The 1/60 instead doesn't have this hinge and the shoulder and arm is now a single piece.(very much like the VF-0) It relies on the balljoint connection itself for you to do the same movements. And yes, its the whole connection with the metal pin that's flimsy. By itself it isn't flimsy but considering that its supposed to support all the movements of the arm, it doesn't look very strong. More details described below. Looking at the toy, the arm connection to the toy is really really fragile looking and warrants some need to be careful. On the 1/60, the piece that connects to the arm has almost no locking mechanism to the torso itself unlike the 1/48 and vf-0. That said it has quite a free range of movement for the arm but the pressure of moving the arms is supported only by that small pin. And also considering that the balljoint is now tight, moving the arms around carelessly especially while posing might weaken the area of breakage and eventually it will break. My sensor is red....and the yellows seem to be same shaded. The yellow arrows on the head also have a black outline.
  10. Hmmm, is the front landing gear in the right position cuz it looks like its too near the nosecone.
  11. Just thought i'd mention.... Tony Taka's preview to his C74 T2 works (Macross Frontier...ADULT ONLY) was revealed...and I like what I see. >
  12. Well...i gave in to the yamato gods. I knew i said i wouldn't get one...and i did.....and what more in a foreign country. Now i have to think of how i'm gonna try to sneak this into the plane home together with a gokin tachikoma. I'll give a very brief summary. cons: 1.) My left shoulder pads came off the shoulders and split out of the box. The pegs are still there so it wasn't a break, but its still loose. Nothing a little super glue won't solve. 2.) I don't like the new shoulder articulation. It feels abit more restrictive especially in gerwalk mode where it presses against the wing unless you move the shoulderpads in such a way where it won't touch the wings, hence limiting the pose. Also it feels kinda flimsy where it connects to the armpit despite better reach in front of the battroid's chest. Might break if you're not careful. (EDIT: Oh crap saw the pic 2 pages back....it DOES break....oh gawd) 3.) Visor looks like black in normal lighting. They coated too much green/reflective coat on my visor so its really dark. I can only see the green if i shine a light through one side of the visor. 4.) Big gaping hole behind battroid's head. No cover piece provided like the 1/48's fastpack set. 5.) Fastpack connection although gives a firm grip on to the backpack, is not very pleasing aesthetically. 6.) Same old swingbar connection to nosecone, and abit hard to get it into place as well. Was expecting it to be like VF-0's. 7.) Gunpod feels too small. Inaccurate to lineart. Feels like a carbine rather than the assault rifle size it should be. 8.) No stand included. Pros: 1.) Small, cheap, and solid. Parts lock very snugly and it really feels like Yamato's 1st play-worthy macross toy. Kyunnn kyunnn~ 2.) Tampo prints...wheee....though i wished they tampo-ed the damn NO STEPs. Oh well...can't ask for everything eh? 3.) Pilot fits perfectly into cockpit. No squishing required! 4.) Joints are all tight. Gerwalk mode is tight as well. Not like the travesty which was the VF-0. 5.) Articulation doesn't seem like its as improved as they would like you to believe....but i guess its good. I'm still trying to make a Hikaru vs Bodolza pose but can't seem to be able to since the gunpod is small. 6.) Missiles fit tightly under wing. 7.) Hands aren't chickenny anymore. I like em. 8.) The "elongated neck" doesn't exist like they did in the photos. Looks ok in person. Perhaps Graham mistransformed his or the angle? 9.) Leg fastpacks have magnets and also click nicely into place. Very snug. Generally, my opinion is this is the VF-1 toy that Yamato should've came out with since 1990. What took them so fracking long? If they did, we might have the air instakes that actually open and close perfectly by now rather than removing a whole solid piece. Or even wings that telescope into the backpack for better articulation.
  13. Try reading the rest of the Ender series. 4 books in total. Its more edgy and hard sci-fi than the 1st book. I heard ppl die in that series. Very Tomino-esque.
  14. It will be awesome even if he shows up as a cameo!
  15. Did someone took a ruler and started drawing gundams?
  16. I believe the chronology of the plans for Code Geass were as follows: (based on insider information, nothing officially announced though) 1.) big bang season planned like Eureka 7. 2.) split season into 3 parts, reason being more time for development to ensure quality. 3.) Sometime after season 1, producers still weren't sure what format they'd release the sequels in....OVA, TV Series or theatrical release. 4.) R2 confirmed to be TV series. 5.) midway of R2, confirmed to be only 2 TV series. so there u go. It does seem to me that a longer show was planned but was cut down last minute. Either that or the quality of the writing is degrading.
  17. Characters look so familiar yet....can't place it.....
  18. You could ALMOST do that pose with the WAVE toy. Too bad the knees don't bend that way.
  19. They're the collective conciousness of everyone lost on the Megaroad-1. Old man -> Global (yeah yeah he wasn't on MR1.....sue me) Middle-aged man -> Kaifun Young man -> Hikaru Young girl -> Min may Grace(?) -> Misa
  20. This blog entry has a 5-6 links dedicated to the best Ranka fanart. Pretty awesome. Too many for me to post them here so you'll have to help yourselves. http://sukumiu.blog99.fc2.com/blog-entry-225.html
  21. Fukuyama x May'N possiblity? DO WANT! http://gabrielarobin.com/283/mayn-yoshiki-...ummer-live-2008
  22. What's with the cliched ungrateful irish immortals eh? All them just wanna die now don't they? I dunno bout u guys but this episode was evident that they seem to be compensating for the loss of the 3rd season. Too much stuff was revealed in one episode and there seems much more that we still don't know. C.C's sudden confession to her desire was also zomg....that was sudden. C.C's flashbacks was moe.
  23. I know that much but the humour is lost on me. "I am the alpha and the omega" - some bible verse.
  24. I still don't get it though....and i don't speak greek.
  25. Can someone refresh my memory cuz i didn't catch it: And can we remove spoiler tags already?
