OK......why not we make this the Mai Otome thread eh? After watching Mai Otome, especially the final episode, I saw "tributes" to Gundam Seed Destiny (this is by Sunrise after all). These blogs have the screenshots. (SPOILERS) http://000555.blog13.fc2.com/blog-entry-286.html http://zdryeo.blog43.fc2.com/blog-entry-93.html And apart from that, i noticed the BGM insert in episode 24 and 26 is the same song as the "Next Episode Previews" from Gundam Seed Destiny too. And GSD aside, I enjoyed Otome but not more than HiME which i thought was a better show. Otome had alot of important plot events that you'd forget easily and when they become important 10 episodes later, flashbacks don't refresh your memory. But overall i enjoyed Otome especially with all its homages and references to the HiME series.

Frankly....i don't find the drive for me to continue playing KH2 unlike the 1st KH. Is it just me or are the levels overly easy and linear? Walk from point A to point B and kill monsters on the way. Not a platform jumping puzzle even >_>. Walk, kill. Walk, Kill. Bleh. Maybe i'm just getting old.

Interesting. I have powermaster darkwing and dreadwing but they don't have that targeting panel thingy. So it would be something else. Sorry...can't help you more than that.

Got my THS02 Convoy. Overall very happy with it. But whilst transforming it into truck mode, the longer part of the grill which you're supposed to fold out, wouldn't budge into position!! It was hard but i did it eventually, with stress marks on the middle where the joint is. >_< The hole probably wasn't big enough to allow movement. But i'm not leaving this in truck mode anyway, though i must confess it does look pretty good when you see it connected to the trailer.

So do their parts at least fit and stay together?

This is what i got from my less than rudimentary japanese: The guy is explaining the designs done by Miyatake. He takes up the Macross and explains the differences between DYRL? and the TV series. Then he takes up the ARMD-1 and explains that its a carrier that replaces the Prometheus/Daedalus from the TV series and points out some parts such as the heliport and the bridge and the runway. Then he talks about Bodolza's command ship and i can't get most of what he says but he says Miyatake made it look organic , since the Zentraedi were apparently masters of biotechnology. Then he talks about the Laplamiz class ship....again dunno what he's talking bout here. Then he mentions the difference between the Bodolza class and the Laplamiz class ships and how their technology were very different. When he compares it to the SDF...i'm stumped. LOL!

Actually guys, the "MODEL KIT" reference was regarding the Trading figures posted by Roy's Blues, not these Hot Toys figures. These are DEFINATELY action figures.

Definately Hikaru. His VF-1S scene is the longest with most action thrown in. Max comes in 2nd and Roy sadly didn't do much throughout the whole movie. Best Hikaru 1S scene would be him VS Bodolza, and of course the infamous gerwalk dodging lasers letting loose beer missiles scene. PS: THat pic is awesome RedSun! They left the gunpod orientation to the way its supposed to be, but dang its a good diorama. Now, THAT's what i call effective use of the battroid mode.

The price seems fine since most of the Hot Toys figures come for that kinda price anyway. Judging from the pictures, it looks detailed enough. Hope to see more detailed photos demonstrating its poseability. As long as it can do its "Attack-mode" pose,(where it sorta crouches with hands pointing menacingly) i'm sold!
