And as for Grimlock, i'm loving the dino mode and i actually find myself transforming the thing to bot mode and back to dino mode everytime i feel fidgety while uttering "Me Grimlock, SMASH!" I wished he still had his "wings" though.

Started playing FF12 finally. Its pretty good.....spent 1s hour watching cinematic....then walk around no fighting....zzzz....then fight abit....cinematic....fight abit more story...not too bad. About Vaan....zomg....he's freakin gay lookin....his character reminds me of Disney's Aladdin. Heck he's even a "street rat" sorta character. And princess ashe....wtf...she going clubbing or going around killing baddies? Everyone wants to wear full plated body armor but she goes on and wear that sad excuse for a pink skirt.....metal underwear beneath?

You have to admit for a fan trailer, it was pretty good. Its just that people here are geekier than the average movie guy. What with detecting Ghostbuster sounds in an anime and all.

I never watched all of patlabor , but i was always curious why Ingram 3 doesn't have a visor.....looks blind or something.

Went to the local TRU and got myself the last Jetfire and Grimlock! LUCKY! Man i'm really impressed by them. I love Jetfire. The armourless Jetfire looks nice....but the armored Jetfire is even better. Very impressed by the detail (loadsa panel lines)as well as the tight ratchet joints all over the figure. Kudos to Don Figuora. It deserves a place next to my 1/48 VF-1S. Grimlock's robot mode is kinda dodgy but not too bad. He really shines in dino mode though. His tail is jointed, and does menacing dino poses nicely. Love the classics line.

There are rumours that Aya Hirano cannot reprise her role as Haruhi though, and she recently revealed on her blog that she's recuperating from some unsaid illness. I thought it was just overworked, considering all the sudden live events and new roles for her. Since we're on Haruhi figures: Apart from the Kotobukiya Haruhi, i'm also getting the Toranoana one. Lets not forget this wonderful "Mikuru Beamer" pose by famous sculptor, Polygonia And the Bandai Gashapon

Curious about what scorponok really is though, with the "rescue" signs and all. Maybe its a military "prototype" robot that gets "possessed" by a decepticon spark or something.

I'm surprised no one posted about this movie yet. Its an action thriller made in true Jerry Bruckheimer fashion of revolving camera angles and zooming in/out of scenes. Denzel Washington's character is very two dimensional here, but i never felt Denzel was a good actor. The story starts out like a normal detective story about Denzel trying to solve a murder crime which is connected to a terrorist act. Suddenly the story becomes something that suspends your belief when Val Kilmer tells you they are rendering images from 4 days ago on a super computer via 7 orbital sattelites allowing them to observe events happening 4 days ago and able to rotate the images and see them from different angles. Denzel then is brought in to investigate the footage from 4 days ago. Without spoiling too much, Denzel finds out the machine is actually something that warps space, explained by that geeky bearded guy you always see in movies (whats his name?) with your traditional piece of paper and "what's the fastest between 2 points" explanation. Suddenly the show becomes sci-fi and is reminiscent of minority report. Due to the weird sci-fi element in the show, plot holes appear everywhere. Things that would've happened in a past dimension also happened in the current dimension , which ends up as nothing more than a hollywood gimmick to confuse viewers on "what actually happened" during the day of the boat explosion. Pretty long movie too.

OT but from reading http://eva.trivialbeing.net/ , i found out that the new EVA anime being produced ARE in fact remakes...."The Rebuild Of Evangelion" SIGH....why? Apparently the NERV and SEELE logos will be changed too....NERV's fig leaf will be changed to a bitten apple....EDEN Restaurants?

Thanks for the review, Graham. Man the slanted gunpod bugs me though. Maybe castrating the misaligned peg might solve the problem, leaving the gunpod held on only one peg, which might not be as strong but still possible. Overall quite happy with the QC this time round. Other than chicken hands that most ppl complain about, i wonder why doesn't Yamato put the heads on ball joints, insteads of swivels. Ball joints will give the head the SLIGHT "aiming" look that you need when posing. A little tilt goes a long way for the head but so far in all the Macross toys, its always a swivel joint. Bah. Anyway i'm getting this 1s release regardless of crooked gunpod. Use it for battroid mode. 2nd release for fighter.

I think it might be from the PS2 game, Evangelions....or perhaps the 1 episode Evangelion 3D.
