Wow...is this the 1s macross toy ad since the chunky munky days? Awesome stuff! I was LMAO at how the YF-19 seems to try to steal some limelight in the background but failed. Observations made. 1.) Nice sleek fighter mode 2.) In gerwalk mode the thigh flaps are almost non-noticeable! Cool! 3.) Gunpods! And they holster on the thigh flaps in battroid mode! I'm just wondering if they will fit into fighter mode, and I'll be happy. 4.) Air intake looks like it folds out but from the fighter and gerwalk shots it doesn't look like it folds. Might be a seperate piece like all yammie intakes. 5.) Blue looks too light. Should be a darker blue or purple.

Liking Dynames Deathscythe Custom. I think it my favourite mech in 00 for now. What exactly are the GN blades that Setsuna just got? Did we see them in action? Is it the new blade on the left hip? Setsuna's "onii-san" during the war? Hmmm.....or maybe a Sagara x Gauron doujin sorta relationship? XD And boy do the girls in 00 know how to show their (0)(0).

is the megahouse ones the best offer for ride armours now? Were the bikes that small....the rider has to crouch his knees to ride it....but at the same time that back signature pose looks right. Am i going crazy?

They had better come out with something after that many years as a space-faring race. Omni-directional barrier seems the way to go! Maybe they should have Gradius-like unmanned drones too.

Sarah Nome huh...so the Mayans did survive all those years. (ok ok...mayan-like indigenous ppl) Another note on the character designs, they don't particularly look like Leiji Mastumoto's characters, but I do kinda get a Space Battleship Yamato vibe from them especially Sheryl Nome. Can't quite place it. I'm really glad that they decided to make this a flight school academy setting. I remembered myself and various others drafting this idea when discussing what the next Macross series should be about. Now i'm just waiting to see if the Macross Frontier fleet can gattai into a giganormous mecha.

Just noticed that the pilot training school's design looks somewhat like the SDF-1 with the macross cannons and armd-1 hands. Btw are the character designs by Mikimoto cuz it doesn't look like it. I don't really like the main bishie's look. Its too yaoi especially with that scene smiling, half naked in sparkling sweat.

I guess the VF-17 Nightmares just proved itself indispensable as an advanced special ops fighter.....probably more so than the VF-22 Strumvogel. Just like how the F-15s are still in service today after 20 or more years? Or maybe this is Kawamori's way of saying "You want VF-17 toys....i'll give you VF-17 toys!" Thanks Vic for the screenshots of the VF-25. Its clearer now that although the general transformation and silhoutte of the SV-51 is kept, the transformation is a little different in the torso area that the cockpit section now folds upwards, although the nose cone still folds into the landing gear cavity. And as for funky electric sparkles....you see it too during transformation of VF-19 kai in Macross 7 and various other Super robot shows during "Gattai" (combining).

Mmm....i like what I see generally in the trailer. Music: J-pop. Thank God its not rap like most ppl thought it might be? Mecha: VF-25 now that I see its silhouette and in action, is really a SV-51 with traditional UN-Spacy backpack wings and different head. Its like the SV-51's blueprints were suddenly found under some piece of rubble and they decided to re-use it? Not entirely happy with this as Kawamori seemed to be too lazy to redo something with his lego. VF-17: As happy as I am to see the VF-17 again, it looks like its going to be the new mainstay space superiority fighter? Sigh. And here I thought we get to see VF-19s as cannon fodder. Main character: There were talks that the main character is a descendant of Maximilian Jenius. Not that i'm not surprised anyway since he has spawned alot of daughters to spread his seed all over the galaxy. Bugs: Yay....bug aliens finally! Possibly the same we see in M3? Hopefully they are as uber as the ones we see in Gunbuster for some epic scale battles! I'm still kinda sad that this takes place decades after Macross 7.

Hmmm I don't mind Yukikaze-ish fighters. In fact, I wouldn't mind if the new valk will end up looking like a SU-33-ish fighter. You know....big....menacing....loads of missiles.

Thanks for the repost. Haha....never thought this thread came alive again. VF-25 fighter mode looks like it went back to traditional VF-1/VF-0/SV-51. Its nice and sleek but can't say I'd prefer something more "revolutionary" looking. After all that decades up in space and zentran adoption into society, you'd think that hory froating head would come up with a more revolutionary craft.

Just watched ep 5. I don't know what you guys are spoiler tagging the mental illnesses since its not even revealed in the anime, but its definately MPD for Allelujah. Assumption: He probably killed someone to survive drifting off in space, maybe to have more air to himself....thus the "gentle personality" was born to sort of atone for his sins or block off those memories. The other personality isn't murderous per se, but one of a cold hardened soldier, one which prioritises his missions rather than to save people. Btw can someone explain to me the impact of the Taribia and Union part? Why would the world hate CB now because of their actions? I don't get it. Seemed to me US and Taribia were in cahoots to see what will CB do so as to test their resolve in attacking war-inciting countries.

How do u like the VF-25? AFAIK what i see is still just design sketches. And did it mention anywhere about pilot school? I feel kinda sad that Macross watchers are treated like space travellers, in the sense that we are travelling in space so much and everytime a new Macross series comes out, a few decades have passed on earth (except Macross Zero). We won't be seeing the old characters much (even if they are alive I reckon) and the tie-ins to previous macross will be hard to produce. Sigh.

GOt my VF-1S. It seems smaller than my other revoltechs due to its frame...but I like it. Finally a toy figure that can do the Hikaru-full-barrage scene.
