I just played around with my SV-51 today after ignoring it for months, and I'm greatly troubled to find that the stress mark on the back part hinge where the wings connect to has grown. I'm not sure if it has grown or my imagination....but it looks like it can reach the whole hinge and break eventually. I am afraid. >_< And its really loose right hand due to the armpit hinge not locking properly doesn't help the problem. Probably will have to make it permanent fighter mode soon.

If you think about it, they're no different from Gundam Wing pwning everyone but main difference here is , the Gundams are specialised and you don't get crummy repeated animations (yet). And they also have a plan in every battle compared to Wing which was just blast/kill everything. I think that's what makes this show more bearable than its predecessor. Veda is CB's super computer, together with Sumeragi, predicts the possible outcomes of CB's skirmishes with 99% accuracy. It seems everything about CB's existence is controlled by this computer including the selection of its pilots. Why do I feel that the scary dead bald guy's head will be in a jar in the middle of Veda. Just wanted to mention that Kamina terrorist version aka Ali is cool. But that whole battle shows how emo Setsuna can become...which kinda makes me hope he doesn't become too emo later on and do stupid things. But I really wonder how these Middle Eastern people like Setsuna can get mistaken as Japanese. I dunno why, but Tiera is growing on me. He's the most cold and logical of the group and he knew what has to be done since he joined CB. The rest seem like they have 2nd thoughts now.

On related note, isn't there a "25th anniversary video" for Macross out yet, like what they did for the 20th anniversary when Macross Zero came out?

After scrutinising the armored gerwalk -> battroid sequence. That thing is huge and chunky! The gunpod is super huge as well, and the overall sillouhette in armored gerwalk mode reminds me of the Metal Siren in Macross II. It even has missile pods on its legs ala GPB-1 and added cannon piece on its left arm (armored battroid pic). The chest pods also reminiscent of the GBP probably store missles as well. (Yellow/Red pods in fighter mode) Fighter mode with the armour modules. As you can see the fast packs are the same as the one with the red fighter. But in gerwalk mode, the packs seem larger, as if it opened up and looks more menacing.

I think Revy is fine since there was Black Lagoon 2nd Barrage....but too bad about Roy and Archer. I can't think of any other GAR characters this year.

This is Macross Universe after all with flying rocks, birdmen, space whales, space giants, love and song prevailing over weapons....its quite amazing to see a talented pilot/singer do stuff like that huh?</sarcasm> I'll have to see it to believe it. Frankly I am very disappointed with Bandai's non-gundam and non-SOC releases. Their recent handling of the Evangelion 1.0 toy line was subpar at best even.

A picture of the gerwalk mode will be better for you to do the comparison but I think they are almost the same. The boosters in the gerwalk mode look like a "Strike-pack" configuration which has bigger more bad-ass looking boosters probably holding tonnes more missiles. It has missile launch ports on the sides! The red fighter mode is probably a standard fastpack or a trainer-type booster since it has nubs at the front like the VT-1. I'm more bugged by wtf is wrong with the green haired girl's hair rather than the green energy thing. Why does it flip up that way and looks like a sea cucumber......argh! >_<

I can't see why people are complaining of a little transformation effects that probably will only be obvious in 1-2 episodes out of the whole show. The action will be too fast and furious for you to notice the green energy thing anyway and I doubt the transformation will be that slow for you to notice it. Bandai? Is this confirmed? I feel afraid for it then. Look at what Bandai did to Macross II and Macross 7. Hell....look what they did to any of the non-gundam toy lines. Eureka 7? Code Geass? Evangelion (the 1st toylines and model kits were meh). I Fear the worse. I can't think of a good bandai non-gundam toyline not counting Soul of Chogokin.

HOLY !@*(&!(*@ KAWAMORI!! That super VF-25 is awesome! at 00:02 of the video, you can see a fastpacked VF-25 fighter , with boosters on the wings very much like the SV-51. Then at 00:06, you'll see "Roy Focker" in gerwalk mode with the boosters transforming into battroid mode. I wasn't that excited with the VF-25 until now!!
