  1. The space monsters. Just when I can almost see some redeeming quality in M7, there's always the space monsters' appearance that makes me sick to my stomach that this series has Macross in its title.

    Got anymore pics (close-up shots)?
  3. Maybe he should get a Max or Millia, so he can leave feedback on one of the other polls. Problem solved.
  4. I'd go (assuming he's a Macross fan) with either two 1/48s or a 1/48 with fast packs. If he can scrape up a little extra, those acrylic, adjustable display stands make the 1/48s really look great.
  5. Is he going more for quantity or quality? Is it a better deal to get more robots for the money or perhaps just one or two really detailed ones?
  6. A little off topic, but was 3DVFX ever made? There's a trailer for it on the Macross 20th Anniversary DVD.
  7. How come VF-1D isn't one of the choices? Anyway, I vote for a VF-1D low vis.

A Mary Kay Valkyrie! How many cosmetics would one have to sell to get that?
  9. OK, your explanation is quite acceptable. Comm channels and speaker pods fired into enemy fighters, OK. What is ridiculous to me is the speakers built into the "Fire Valkyrie" and "Sound Booster." As I've stated before, I'd accept this if M7 would go the extra mile and outfit Basara's -19 with gold teeth.
  10. Yeah, but they're. . . bah, I'll let Agent ONE do the honors here.
  11. 5 miles for a Gobot! I'd have politely asked to see the store manager and proptly kicked him or her in the shins. Of course I was going to do that the other day at TRU, but the manager lady had a couple hundred pounds on me.
  12. Well the whole giant-subwoofers-in-the-shoulders-and-fast-packs thing would be entirely appropriate, if Basara's VF-19 had gold teeth in its mouth.
  13. Ah, the memories! I remember getting the "Alpha" in a Robotech box at a local Skaggs Alpha-Beta supermarket. They also had the "Henshin Robo" boxed ones, too.
  14. I totally get where you're coming from, here. I was a little suprised by the FEW posts that seemed a bit stifling to newcomers, that's all. I can understand how members that have been here a while can get irritated at seeing the same old stuff, over and over. However, I'm suprised by any kind of disparaging remarks directed at other Macross fans; after all, Macross isn't a subject that most people can strike up a conversation about with coworkers at lunch. Stopping short of singing "We are the World" , I'm just opposed to stifling anyone who hits the "ADD REPLY" button who genuinely wants to participate. Most members have been really accomodating and helpful - just wanted to get on record, here!
  15. I hope you're right in both instances! Of course, I'm the guy that wants a two-seater low vis. Oh well, I can want.
  16. Well said. I'd like to add that it's the quality (or lack thereof) coupled with the price that is offensive, not to mention Toynami's questionable business practices. I would agree with another member that under $40 is a fair price for an MPC. Hell, I might even buy a VF-1R for that price! Animation mistakes rock! *edit: I sort of already did.
  17. I'd like to start a petition to send to SK, in an attempt to compel him to denounce M7's place in the Macross time line and relegate it to "it's a spoof on the old Macross" status.
  18. Actually, I'm not knocking the pinned M7 thead idea. However, I think the "we did this last month" posts in general sends the message to newcomers that they can't or shouldn't participate unless they can come up with something creative or novel. When someone posts a link to a previous "last month" discussion, that can be very helpful, because is doesn't make anyone wait for replies to have a question answered. I guess my gripe is with the people who just post "we did this last month" because they are irritated that a newcomer is starting a topic they don't want to talk about; if that's the case, I'd suggest to those people not to read the thread. If this isn't your motivation, then please take no offense at what I've posted here. For the record, I still think it's OK for a newbie to post up a "got my first Yamato today" type thread; it's the only way some people are able to participate and have any kind of discussion with other Macross fans. Again, when the forums are jammed with all the new "senseless" (I forgot who used this word) threads, the moderators will take care of it. In short, let the moderators moderate. Again, if this doesn't apply to you, there's no need to take offense. Looks like I've blessed others with another "nugget of wisdom."
