  1. Sad part is I dont think Hasagawa will ever think of making Destroids.
  2. actually I wanted to put that on here too. Just did not want to put too much hehe
  3. Ahh I like this thread, People starting to share what they like most
  4. ahh yeah I Knew that about hte missles but They would not be hard to make even if their were different kits. Heck if we can make a Booster you can make 10 molds with each different resin missles
  5. Well I have not been feeling well and I cant sleep today so I decied to come up with a list of Model kits I would love to see made. This was just somthing to do. We have all been Blessed with some Re-issue of kits and New kits with in the last 5 months so My ejoyment of seeing new Kits is a nice investment to my love of Macross. As many of you may know I have always been a fan of the Origional Macross Series. However I enjoy the daily pictues of all the kits you guys created and build. This website over the past year has inspired me more then you guys can imagine. But just seeing the creations you guys can make is Something that every Macross fan and Modeler dreams of creating. So now that I am sick I got to looking at a few of my resin kits today and was thinking how nice the kits that are comming out have been. This is just a list of a few kits I would love to see in the Future. I know we want so many things. But since I love the Origional TV Macross here is a few kits I dream of. Of corse I had my hopes up last year the thought of the QF-3000 Ghost Drone Fighter. I would Buy 2 of these kits so fast. I would not have to look at my bank account before making th decision Second with John and Robs Launch rail and booster this would make a great Edition to the Booster. since this was in the back ground of the Launch in which Misa flew up in space Rockwell International SC-27A&B Star Goose This is the second kit I would buy Third is an interesting craft seen only once in the First episode of Macross The EH/Sikorsky 303 Sea Sergeant ASW Helicopter A kit like this would be a great extra like th spiderbug to anyones collection Forth, the EC-33B Tiger's Eye AWACS Plane Now my idea of something VERY VERY simple and prob would not cost much is resin missles for all Individual kits. This is a pic of 2 kits I build about 18 years ago. The missles on the Spartin are Little cut pegs from the OLD Battleship game. I cut them and made a rack for them by opening the shoulder pannels but i was 14 years old and well back then I had to make due with what idea I had hehe. But my idea would be resin Detailed missles we could use for all kinds of Macross kits. VF-1s, spartins, Tomahawks, armord VF-1s you name it. I think it would be simple cast and could prob sell 20 missles for 20 bucks, easy. hehe thise kits are old so dont laugh. I did a lot of modifications to them I rouned the head of the Tomahawk and added Exhaust holes to the Face guns opened the Back missle pannel and added my own missles I also filled in the Face top with putty because it was a Canyon of just two walls. I also runded the edges of the face and guns and added some extra styrine to make the face more accurate. Well just somthing to do today on a sick day and not feeling so hot, I could not stay in bed so I had to keep myself buisy. But then again maybe one day One of these ideas could become true. keep the models comming Ranger565
  6. Hey Jessee and Gundumhead I have an idea about how to mount it When I was reading that post I SO understand what it would be like to Mount it from the Boosters, However if you were to mount it from the Folded wing Tail Mount on the back as shown in this picture You can see the Red area of the Pic that I outlined for the Mount, and the Yellow is the Pegs or Rods that can be drilled into the top of the VF-1. you can see that its VERY strong from my pictures. Super glue or even HOT glue can make this Kit stronger and should support as I have done with my Fingers. NOTE: the Clamps can just be supperglued to the Boosters, however 90% of the Support will be built onto the Folded Tail mount You can see the Inside support beams from the Picture here You can see how stronger the support is just by my fingers Oh well its just somthing to look into, Let me know what you think Ranger565
  7. ROFL I forgot that was even on the Shelf I had no other place to put it ROFL Ranger565
  8. ROFL Gunmdamhead Thats Exactly My idea of What I would also Love too do. I am amazed you had the same Idea as I did Ranger565
  9. This is what happens when you make Macross kits for over 20 years. Too bad I was in College and HS for most of the time. ROFL i woudl have had more This stuff is OLD. most of its 15 years ago or older LOL remember I was about 10 years old when I started this stuff so yeah I know some of its crap. but you know its reminds me of how I grew into a better Modeler over 20 years. PS some stuff is Unfinished, and Some that I have are broke and Back in boxes till I find time to Referbish the kits. Its amazing how much damage Mom could make when shes dusting the Shelf. Ranger565
  10. Yes I have been watching this for 6 months now. THey are NOT fully done with it yet. and The pics dont show much detail to the kit, However i know there is more. Waiting to see what they are going to do with Decals and other things. the Pic was finally put there 2 weeks ago. Ranger
  11. Ok if you take a look at pictures of an F-14 Or any other fighter you will notice that wing flaps do go upwards, when climbing. although its not alot, and yeah i prob did over do it. the Weathering affect is Soot and ash from an exploding pod that the Figher just flew through. I have seen many many Dirty Fighter planes in my time and let me tell you after a Raid on Bagdad in the first gulf war. some of thoes planes were DIRTY DIRTY. they were flying so many sorties that they never washed them. aslo Pannel lines, and no offence to Asian model makers are an Eastern Way of showing off model kits. Most Fighter planes show no detail of pannel lines. and the Lights of the wings are yellow. I have researched many hours of this kit before I made it. Thank you for your comments, everyone. I will admit I made a mistake on the Armor plate missles on the arms. I did FUBAR that up big time and I am working to correct it. Problem is I find that Many color schems are wrong. Yamato is BAD for color schems. Thanks again for everyone with their comments.
  12. The Paint I used for the Main body is Rust-Oleum Camouflage Khaki I got from My Local Home Depot. Can is about 3 dollers and I will tell you that it goes on so smooth. After Priming Just one coat is needed. Picture of the Khaki paint can Man Grayson I still love your planes. I would love to do a diorama and have planes like that in it. But time is Just an issue. Hehe maybe when I am old and Retired from work LOL Ranger565
  13. Project completed Click here for pictures http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=11174
  14. Hey thank you for the comments, I am looking for a decent display case for it now. I dont want to let dust get on it. If any of you know a good website for a case, let me know Ranger565
  15. Adding a few other shots. I used a Florsent Yellow Paint to Bring out the Lights on the wings Rangeer565
  16. Well Its done after 6 months of planning, Research, and Build time. I am done. I think I logged over 100 hours just making sure it was done with the correct paint scheme. First I would like to thank a few people for helping me with this project 1. "Jung" for helping me with the correct colors for painting 2. "Grayson72" for helping me with pannel Lining 3. "Valk009" for helping me with some extra decals 4. "Jessey" for Helping learn about Furture Floor wax All of them through PMs helped me in some from or another Ok well with all that aside a little about the Kit. I got to thinking what would it be like to be the Little guy? The one that no one ever gave a crap about? Sure you have the Main characters but What about your Average Joe? I have always enjoyed episode 27 of the Original TV show. So I decided to created a VF-1A that showed what was going on in the rest of the battle. These guys went up against 4 million ships. This plane represents the BACK BONE of the UN Spacy Fleet. And my idea of what it would have looked like smack dab in the Middle of the battle The VF-1A does not Represent any Known Squadron. Just your average Joe. There is a lot of damge due to Shrapnel of an exploding Pod that it just Tore to hell, and flew through the Debris. Here you Go Also The Photo Etch DID NOT come with the Comunications Antenna, So I added one where it should be The figher all Busted up from Shrapnel The Traditional Pilot In Stander issue Uniform. Man Making him was HARD!! had to use DYRL Pilot and change him Better shot of the Shrapnel Well Ok let me know what you think, Man I am glad to be done. But My next project is Under Research. Prob going to be Battroid Red Baroness From the Last battle with altered Wings to hold Missles Well thank you and Hope you enjoy Ranger565
  17. Good luck on the project. Was kind of wanting to see the Vf-1 armor, I am not much of a fan out side of the TV episodes. I dont even know what a VF-9 Looks like. hehe But anyway Good luck, I know you guys will have a wonderfull kit
  18. Ok after a week I was able to finish the Boosters Left Booster Right booster I plan to Disply it on a Stand I got from Valkyrie Exchange. Then I will be placing it in a Sports case I got from My local Craft store. I dont want any Dust or dirt on the kit. The case also has a Mirror in back so it will be nice to display on my Mantle when finished Ranger565
  19. Well after a month I finally got the leg plates Painted! WORK is KILLING me! lol I really wanted to show more but I worked on this today. and it took me 8 hours just to paint these two pieces. Sigh! 8 hours! Well anyway more in the next few days. However I have put a lot of time into my Decals. Well let me know what you think sigh 8 hours just for two pieces. I am soo slow. I started this project last April Edit gah the pic does not do them Justice, i need better lighting for pictures then at my work desk
  20. Yes they are the Circles for the Armor packs, Soon as I get some free time. Prob next mon- tues, I will be posting pics. But I want to make sure that they are 1. Accurate 2. Crisp and Clean 3. To scale I know many of you want them, and I am sure I will start selling, but I do not want to give any one a product I would not use myself. That whould be Just wrong. So i want to perfect them before I do buisness. I will work on 1/48 scale. Dont worry, I just need some time I have my VF-1A thats still needs to be finished. Work has me so over worked its just home, work, home work, thats my day but hey, I will work on some stuff tonight. hehe Ranger565
  21. ok just a quick question? what Models were to be these Kits? what exactly did you guys buy? This is all well before my time. Ranger565
  22. Hey guys sorr for the Delay. I am a Marine biologist and I work for an Aquarium and I am sooo stuck with work, I have not had a chance to post any pics. I have to make some adjustments to The decals. I want to make them smaller and I need to Work out colors. The Yellow marks are not as clear as I would like them to be On darker backgrounds, So i want to try a different decal paper. The Black and White kill marks are Fabolus. You just will have to wait and see. I dont have any pics yet, Sorry just give me some time to work on them. I am also updating this on some of the Squadron Markings. Rember this is a crappy scan on white paper. Not printed on Decal paper. These squadron markings will be printed on White Decal paper. On white decal these Markings are NOT an issue when it comes to Cutting close to the decal. You just have to cut a circle. Please When looking at this Decal sheet can you give me some serious Imput. Do you think I should change anything? do you think I should Add anything? Thanks for the imput Ranger565
  23. Sorry for the delay in updates, I have finished my first Sheet. This is a scan of my 1/72 kill markings. I used dark colors that show up on light backgrounds as well as light colors that show up on Dark backgrounds. I did a lot of referencing on old ww2 planes to see what colors they used in their kill maks. Let me know what you think. FYI the pic is NOT as nice as the Decals are in person. My scannar does not do them justice. The kill marks are printed on Clear Decal paper FYI I made all marks for Male and Female armor, Regult heavy missle and small missle marks, also you can see the Gnarl figthers as well. let me know what you think! PS. will have Black and white decals soon as well. I have found a way to print some white decals. Ranger565
