  3. Ok well a few months ago I started a topic to create Bifors for the 1/100 and 1/72 Scale Spartan and Tomahawk. Here is the first Pics of the 1/100 Spartin Conversion Showing the Shoulder doors cut away and Some of the Resin cast bifors With a little help from Jessee, and the Cast parts from Gundumheads parts I am Making this kit more real, At least in my eyes You can see the Resin cast Bifors that I have replicated from my origional. They came out great! Here is the shoulder Open with some of the Bifors I cut to make them accurate to the Spartan Well LOTS of work to do, Painting, Primeing, Way I look at it is. VERY small cost to take a old school 1/100 Scale Spartan and turn it into what What it REALLY looks like Ranger565
  4. John to me what would make this 1/72 scale more real is a Resin Small missile and Heavy Missile set in 1/72 for and add on to the 1/72 kit. To me its the LITTLE differences that make a single Kit more Fun to build. Now not only is a 1/72 Regult kit look better with Resin Missle Pod sets. You can make Different Versions. All someone has to do is Sculp or TRY to build just the Missile mounts, and you will have a WHOLE new kit I say Take what we have and Make it better. Conversion to the OLD kits is the way to go when Model makers cant/wont make the kits we long for I dont think that would be hard for someone like John to make. To bad we only have a few Johns, If I could make the whole group of us that talanted with the snap of my fingers I would. Ranger565
  5. its kind of hard for me to be happy. Since I am into the TV serious Macross only. I just dont see why its hard to obtain Rights to make destroids and Enemy Craft. To me why make only 1/10 of something. Bigwest must want some big royalites. To bad we may never see any of them. Ranger565
  6. hey guys, I have an old GTC catalog and was wondering if anyone still orders from Ron? I have called that number a few times, but I never get an answer. Was wondering if hes still in business? Last time I talked with him he still had Every Model listed under the Sun. Ranger565
  7. Jessee, How would you think Scanning the Decals for the kit would be? I think it would be good to see what they are too? Ranger565
  8. hey jesse, Here is something missing from the Models section its from the Bandi Vf-1A super Reissue back in 84 I think this is from. This is Card #8 This is just tip of the iceberg of all the stuff I have Ranger565
  9. Hey jesse, PMed you. I have some things that can help out.
  10. lol awsome, When can I buy the blue light? Ranger565
  11. hehe to me This Kit is More Valuable ( would not build this kit Then this kit ( I would build this kit)
  12. I guess to me the older kits such as the 1/160 monster or the 1/72 Tomahawk are ktis you just cant buy much of anymore. So you to me just owning the kit with the box is nice. Sure you can build the kit. and toss the box but man you may not get another. But a 1/100 Spartan old box is more valuable to me then a box thats 15th Aniversury
  13. Hey all, Trying to prove a point to a friend of mine. I collect old macross kits NOT just because I want to have it, but because of Box Art. I told my friend that Some of the old kits are nice to have just because of the Artwork. He looked at me Like i was nuts. I told him. I dont even plan to build some of these kits, just to have them as collectors items. So I am wondering if any of you feel the same way? Just because a 1/100 Tomahak is the same in a 15th Aniversery box, To me is not the same as a 1983 1/100 Box. To my friend its the same model so why pay for a box? Well anyway am I alone in this thought? Or have i proven my Best friend wrong
  14. Ok well Lets not turn this thread into a battle, We have corrected the information, I was wrong because I found this Info on a web page. I had no idea what the name of Bifor was. But with a little time and a little luck I will have these made up and we can make our kits look a little more Real. I do this because I enjoy this Community, I have learned alot from you guys over the past year and I feel that I can give something back, Even if its the shape of a small resin made Item. Ranger556
  15. Ok well I found the Name of the rocket/missle on the web. Sorry Nanashi, but I went to your webpage first and your webpage is NOT up yet. I had to look on other sites to find pictures. So IF they called what you say they are called. that Info to me was not made. So who cares if they are a missle or a Pop Cap. Point is I was making these to Upgrade kits of people. I respect your work and Understand, But please forgive my Ignorance if I cannot Find info that you possess. Thank you for explaining. However These missles, Rockets, Plungers, Or whatever you want to call them, will still look like the pictures posted from actual Macross Books. Does not matter what they are called as long as people on this website want to Make there kits look like the show they can do so. I believe ever good modeler must do research. I spent 3 months on my CF Before I made it. I enjoy making my Macross kits Look more real. Its because the more real they look the more Proud I am of showing a kit off. Ranger565 Ps. I really respect your work Nenashi and I respect your Info. I wish I had it before I called them what I saw on a webpage. I cant read Japanese, so all I have to go on is a picture. Again thank you for the Correction. Could you also Please Give me the Name and Specification that you speek of? that way there will be no more confusion.
  16. OK well I will be working on them as best as I can. Once I get a few things in order I can mass produce them for you jessee. Just an FYI both Spartin and Tomahawk hold 24 Missles each. 12 each side. I will try my best to make you 12 missles as soon as I can. I do work alot. So Its hard sometimes other then on my day off.
  17. not to bad, how many you need? most of the time I spent on this was to Figure out how to do it.
  18. actually the GPB Missle is quite different, That maybe one I work on next, if this is recgonized by the community as something they care to want
  19. Hey everyone, Here is the 1/72 scale Lockheed ATM-01 Rapier Missle that I have been working on. This was first discussed in the topic found here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=12711 And now it has become somewhat a Reality. I worked on this for about 5 hours and was able to sculp a first draft to the Rapier found on both Spartin and Tamahawk destroids. The Spartin Rapier The Tomahawk Rapier Close up of the finished Missle Well If things go right I will work on the 1/100 scale tomorrow. Jessee said that he could Cast this in Resin. I dont see how hard it could be. If this tends to work out. I will start to create other Class of missles. I will also create Missle mounts for the Spartin. IF you want to use them on a 1/72 scale Tomhawk you can just drill holes. I will show pictures of the mounts and a few Tips to modifing the kits when I have the racks complete for the Spartin shoulders. NOTE: the Spoiler fins,on the back of the missle, are not needed you wont see them at all. Well let me know what you think. Ranger565
  20. thanks for the Effort Aurora, I have picked up the materials I needed this morning and will work on a first draft of the missles tonight.
  21. Hey that would be fine if you can Aurora, I found this one immage but if you have a better scan or something to allow me to carve, I would be nice to have Ranger565
  22. Hey Jessee I found this Image of the Spartin and Tomahawk Rapier missle. Let me get to my local hobby store and buy some Supplies. I maybe able to scupt this from some Plastic Styrene or wooden stick. It could be made 1/100 or even 1/72. I would like to give it a try. 15 years ago when I built this Spartin I was able to cut away the Shoulder doors and Use a plastic sheet of styrene to Make a Missle bay. Then i just cut the small white rubber pegs to the Game Battleship. I am sure you all know the game and Supper glued them to the styrene I had mounted into the shoulder bay. I then made 2 door supports to hold the door open. I wish I thought to sculpt the Missles from a plastic Styrene rod. For a project of this now. I would not need to add the fins to the missle just shape it and creat place for the missles to attach. So give me a few days since the hobby shop I got to is closed on Sundays. I will buy Plastic PVC or Styrene and some wood and see if I cant sculpt a missle. then maybe Someone like jessee can Make a small cast. Ranger565
  23. What would make this kit for me better is Conversion to open Missle doors and show missles. Now if you want I can try to work on something, i would like too, I just need pics of the spartin missles.
  24. I could see someone making a VF-1 cockpit. But it would be a company like Verlindin. They specalize in stuff like that.
