yup...i actually quite liked the bike mecha over the rest... The only point i would otherwise make is that it needs more humanoid touch. A bike is more in tune with a humanoid, from size and use method perspective. There needs to be an actual humanoid factor in bike mecha design, as evidenced by mospeada and BGC....

And you can CLEARLY see from this shot that they have the parts for the leg with covers removed. But in the product page, not a peep of shots with covers removed. Sigh. Not a big deal, but then again not a small deal either especially for a valk this scale, which is supposed to be "more detailed". And when a 1/60 VF-1 has em!

Buying parts in advance for valks you don’t have yet. Bandai you had better make those other valks TWE too!! Grrrr... otherwise why buy parts for something hard to preorder ...

It could be for many reasons, maybe there is only one prototype, and bandai might be using that one prototype, which they didn’t want to risk anything happening to the only one they had.. or they already broke it! or it was plain logistics issues that the expo couldn’t source one in time, since it’s not widely released or it was on purpose since that display was only for toys released so far. Which is a logical reason if the expo doesn’t want to overstep bandai’s marketing machine and rob bandai of their only one prototype display somewhere else whilst the expo is running ... take ur pick ...

Yes looks like its only 2 Macross HMR's this year, unless bandai squeezes in a HMR TWE in between the 1/48 Max and 1/48 hikkie releases... The HMR releases this year, VF-4 FB!! and VF-1D!! were iconic in macross fandom terms though. True dat. Yeah the 1/48 DX train is taking over....which i wouldnt mind too much but the pre-order madness is nuts.... Congrats! I got mine when FEXT came out with their armors, which made me source a HMR VF-1A! Love it to bits! Nicely compared!!! Arcadia train...Lots of admirers taking pics but not actually boarding... and toynami train...

I wish bandai would release more 31A related merch, either another 31A or add-ons....walkure 31 valks are getting overexposed...

Bandai's 1/48 valk is close to ultimate, but it lacks; As a matter of priority; 1) removable front fuselage. 2) detailed and tampoed cockpit area esp instrument panel. 3) accurate sized and detailed pilots 4) magnets for supers!! 5) white landing gear 6) included seat rotation and pop up seat gimmick. 7) removable individual missiles from the box missiles. tampo accuracy (as per TV or DYRL scheme) 9) intake covers that need not be removed but can slide to open/close. 10) integrated antennae 11) double tail hooks 12) repair arm gimmicks 13) used to want VF-1 valks with opening maintenance hatches gimmicks. Not so sure about it nowadays. and lastly yeah what chyll2 said...
