Episode 2 was much better. Episode 1 felt like we were playing catch-up on 15 years of events. Episode 2 felt a bit more "comfortable". It's still a little rushed but this is a mini-series so I don't expect them to waste much time, which is fine.
-
Yep. Episodes 1 & 2 were aired on consecutive nights. The rest of the mini series will air weekly.

Heard people got only half of the episode DVR'd cuz the game went long and the postgame show ate 30 minutes of the premiere. They should probably re-air the premiere before next week. And yeah, I was channel flipping since the airing was delayed but I think I caught the jist of it.

He may. Though, I think he probably wants to step away for a while if he chooses to come back and write a script. Being showrunner and lead writer has probably drained him for 5, heading into 6 years. Plus he's still working with Mark Gatiss on Sherlock. And just an FYI, Chibnall's Who episodes were "42", "The Hungry Earth", "Cold Blood", "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship", and "The Power of Three". I won't list his 8 Torchwood episodes.

Writer Steven Moffat to leave Doctor Who I recall Peter Capaldi remark that Doctor Who is the only show he knew where one of the first questions people ask is "When are you leaving?".

Avatar 2 never really had a release date, just a planned date of December 2017. We don't know why Avatar 2 has been pushed back only that it has. When that happened, Disney pushed back the release date to December 2017. Seeing the success of Episode 7 during the holidays, when there are normally fewer big budget releases, this was a no-brainer for Disney.

Unfortunately, Yoko Kanno is not involved with the soundtrack for Delta. Music composers for Delta are Saeko Suzuki, TOMISIRO and Mina Kubota. Macross Delta TV Series to Premiere in Spring With Lagrange, Kaleido Star Composers That being said, Ms. Kanno could be involved at a later date if she has some free time. Unlikely, but always a possibility.

As Yakko Warner would say, "G'night everybody!" No. I'm referring to the 'shippin wars from Frontier. -
Mit, we've had this same conversation with you now on 2 different websites with the same result. Going around to different websites isn't going to change anything. Again, it works for Eureka 7's universe. Not Macross. Different universes have different rules. Mixing universes like in the Super Robot Wars and Another Century-games also have their own rules which generates a different set of reasons which only exists in those games. When you bring those concepts to other universes, they start falling apart because it doesn't work outside the universe it was created for. If I tried to blend Battlestar Galactica's ideas into Star Wars, concepts would break down because those ideas were not made for another universe.

I can invoke nostalgia by popping in a DVD or Blu-ray of the original movie that gave me that feeling the first time. Why do I need something new to give me that familiar feeling when the stuff on my shelf does it for me at anytime? Bless home video and Netflix.

I have no doubt the move was for financial reasons. Didn't they move Pirates of the Caribbean out of December too?

At least it's not a 'shippin war. -
The RXR-44 appeared (animation production-wise) well before the D-50C Loto (and well after within the Gundam-timeline) and they still couldn't make work in Gundam. In Gundam. Speaking of other mechs, in Delta, we now see other Zentradi mecha (Regults) besides the power armors are still in use. And those mecha have been used for centuries by the Zentradi and now by the NUN.

*cough* F-50D (RXR-44) Guntank from F91*/cough* They don't mention which fleets, but the entry for the AIF-7S Ghost from Frontier mentions that since Ghost are cheaper upfront and to maintain over the long term in addition to having equivalent or better performance than a manned fighter, some fleets dropped VFs in favor of Ghosts. Ghosts cost 1/3 the price of a VF-171 to manufacture and maintain. It's easy to understand this for fleets where finances and resources are more constrained.

Which is why I'm sure Disney is moving back the Ep 8 release date. Gotta sell all those Christmas presents. It worked for this movie during Christmas. If Lucas made this exact same movie, I'd have the exact same commentary. I recall a videos posted after screenings of Ep 1 where people said the exact same thing they said now. "Star Wars is back!" "I'm gonna watch it again and again!".

Or Edgar? You still have 5 more 2nd generation Jenius girls, if it's not Mylene and Komillia doesn't sound right. -
For me, the principal characters were not enough to make up for the lackluster-rehashed story. The more I looked and thought about it, the less I liked it. Poe's character was ok, but then went downhill right around the time he first interacts with Kylo Ren. Then that gap in screen time made me forget about him. Finn's character was just a mess which I addressed in my review. Rey? The more I think about her character, the more coincidences play into her story, the less convincing I find her character. I did. And I still found them more entertaining than this movie. CGI, funky dialogue and all.

+1. I rewatched it by downloading it since I don't have the time to go to a theater right now. I'll take it further. I found the prequels more memorable and enjoyable to watch than this movie. Yes, I am putting the prequels above this movie. So sue me. At least with those, I got films that felt different. If I wanted to watch them blow up a Death Star (twice), I'll rewatch Ep 4 and 6. If I wanted to see snow (and more of it), I'll watch Ep 5. If I wanted to see a cantina with a a short musical number, Ep 4. Desert environment? Ep 1, 2, 4 and 6. If I wanted a whiny guy, I'll take Ep 2, 3 and 4. The more I listen to Finn's dialogue at parts, the more I'll cringe like I'm listening to some (what did James Corben call it), hype-man. At least with Jar Jar, part of me is trying to decipher what the hell he's saying before I cringe.

Nope and probably not. In fact, they might take out some scenes just to shorten the episode to fit into the broadcast schedule. When the Blu-rays come out, they'll likely release a full extended version. Just like they did with Frontier. -

There was a comm-link clipped to his necklace. It was blinking when his boss was calling him. In the next scenes, after he's fired, the little thing is gone. -

If you mean those Twitter posts, then I'm gonna say, wait for it to actually come out. Why? Because there were posts on Twitter with those same reactions for Fantastic Four last year. -
It's promo art from the UK site for the special airing tonight episode before or after The Flash. Check your local listings. https://www.facebook.com/DCFilmsUK/

It can be used interchangeably. Just YF-19. Just YF-21. Alpha One and Omega One were their respective radio callsigns.
