  1. Actually, Minerva kinda reminds me of PLANT (not ZAFT) ship. The other one looks like Re H.O.M.E. and a Izumo-class clumped together.
  2. I answered this question a few pages back. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...rsupials&st=900
  3. I think that is where your problem lies...
  4. Well, you better believe it. Let's count. 1 in front of the bridge. There's 2 on each of the main cannons, total 4. 1 gun system on each of the engines, total 2. And it looks like 1 on the underside. Let's do the math. 1 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 8 Yeh! Egan is right. Yet again... The stats in the compendium seem to reflect the TV series, so those stats don't seem to apply with the DYRL? versions.
  5. The Astray manga is suppose to fill in the gaps not covered in the series in addition to being a side story.
  6. Again, the focus was on Skull. There was never a real focus on detail because Skull was the primary focus of the series. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/books/plus_tia.htm This book has some squadron markings and designations done by Shigeki Ninomiya (a popular fan-artist for Macross. These are not official).
  7. Unfortunately, the focus was on Skull Squadron. We never really saw the tags for other groups, including destroids. There are, however, plenty of fan-made squadron tags out there.
  8. Doesn't this belong in the newbie thread?
  9. We might not be seeing any Macross in the States until this problem goes away. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=153
  10. The feature is only on Disc 4. I checked my R2s and episode 4 is the only one that has the featurette.
  11. Well...that answers whether or not Singer is doing X3.
  12. Maybe, maybe not. At the time Big West made MII, Kawamori was off the Macross ride. He did some occasional valks (like the infamous Stampede Valk) but at that point, Kawamori and co. were done with Macross. Big West may have wanted to do something for the 10th anniversary (i.e. MII), but that was done without input from Studio Nue. Without Studio Nue's input (primarily Kawamori), it wasn't really part of the Macross timeline. The same could be said about Orguss 2. Big West created that show without input from Studio Nue. And it is not part of the Orguss timeline.
  13. The trades are reporting that some of McFarlene's picks of Family Guy will be on during the Olympics (on Fox). Otherwise, new episodes will not air until next year. Alex Borstein (voice of Lois) has indicated that the new episodes are set to come in June 2005. American Dad will come on first however. My guess is that depending on how American Dad turns out will influence if Family Guy comes on sooner. But until then, June 2005.
  14. Thankfully, I got the regular edition to save money for Zeta.....
  15. You modern gamers and your REASONS... When I was a kid, we shot robots for no reason whatsoever. And they shot us. Heck, we shot space rocks for no reason. We even shot abstract geometric shapes. Uphill through the boiling snow no less. And we were HAPPY! Don't even get me started on the little round yellow guy who ate ghosts for fun.
  16. Exactly what I said. Brosnan was Bond. I've seen very few people doubt that he could not fill the role. He had all the wit, charm, and style that made Bond. But his movies (especially the last 2) needed to move away from the bigger-is-better formula. If they could make 1 more movie with Brosnan without the big effects and etc., we would probably have a good Bond film.
  17. Definitely. I think that was Brosnan's biggest complaint about his Bond movies. He wanted a real spy drama, not a gadget/CGI/big-name sponsor/lunatic industrialist-villan movie. He wanted a spy movie like the real early Sean Connery work. They can put almost anybody in the role of Bond, but dang it, come up with a better storyline and not the crap that's been out for the past 4 movies.
  18. You could call negative comments a "thing getting in the way" or a "road block". I use the term vaguely. But it would be nice to hear what Egan has to say. Anybody want to wake him up?
  19. It was suppose to be the next OAV series, although, things got in the way and the project was put on permanent hiatus. http://www.anime.net/macross/production/an...n/3d/index.html
  20. Most of us are here to have fun. But "fun" to some people is causing a mess everywhere they go and thinking they are king of the world. Ignore those people who do that on this board. The less you listen to them, the more fun you get from the board.
  21. I still don't like parts of that cowl (the size, specifically the width, of those ears). Other than that, I like the suit. Looks more flexible than previous versions.
  22. http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews2/disc_reviews/3090.php Disc one contains the original Standard Edition DVD. Disc two contains four thirty-minute episodes presented in anamorphic widescreen, English and Japanese DTS 5.1 Surround Sound and Stereo. Disc three contains the original series soundtrack CD. I got the regular edition. The SE discs will contain that second disc with the widescreen and DTS 5.1 and anything else they throw in.
  23. Actually...I wonder if those gunpods caused a problem with the YF-21's design (which would be cured with the VF-22 and the guns being stored within those panels). Except for the live-fire tests, we rarely got to see the YF-21 with the gunpods. or... It could be that those gunpods were never really tested and was not on-time for most of the flight tests for the YF-21. Hummm....that could mean that the YF-21 was flying under weight most of the time.....that's not good...
  24. Exactly....and they got the VF-0 wrong....It ain't called the "Phoenix".... Isn't it? I thought it was. What is it called then? VF-0. Just "VF-0". Plain-olde "VF-0". http://www.anime.net/macross/mecha/united_.../vf0/index.html
