  1. In the movie, Clark goes on a sabatical..or what Jimmy calls, "soul searching". The movie should expand on it more though.
  2. 11 clips from the movie, courtesy of IESB.net. http://www.iesb.net/warnerbros2006/061306.php
  3. Not sure what all of this has to do with M7.... but at least it's anime...
  4. Licensing issue and time. Peter Jackson has indicated he would like to do it, but he has other things he wants to do. The Lovely Bones is his next movie and then he has to stick around to produce Halo, which still has no director (I don't think PJ wants to direct this one).
  5. This is a good read: http://sciencentral.com/articles/view.php3...le_id=218392807
  6. In any case, those are Korean releases....
  7. That DYRL? copy looks like a bootleg. Korean bootleg perhaps? The same could probably be said for the M+ copy they have.
  8. I should probably note that Sony is no longer considering the PS3 as a console but as a computer. http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=9642 So factor this in with your comments about blu-ray and HD-DVD.
  9. You may use the noob thread to post quick questions like this. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=140
  10. F91 had newtypes. V had newtypes.
  11. Link to links: http://www.cinescape.com/0/editorial.asp?a...38&obj_id=51487 AICN is the only one to give it a less than sparkling review at the moment. We'll see more as we get closer.
  12. Chances of HD Macross.....ask this question again when HD players come down in price. At the $500-800, even I don't need that much clarity.
  13. Yes, those are Dual's beam rifles. As I said, out protagonist must love dual hand-held everything...Dual rifles, dual pistols, dual beam-blade swords... Some magazine scans have referred to his Striker pack as the Noir Striker. So yes, he can mount various Striker packs if he wishes.
  14. For some reason, I don't feel interested in this one....maybe when it comes to DVD.
  15. Long replies..... So what was this thread about?
  16. I stopped collecting comics right about the time they were slowly making the switch from newspaper to the glossy stuff. Artists have become somewhat manga like. Stories span way too many titles for my wallet and living space to deal with. If I ever collect a series, it will most likely be in the form of a graphic novel.
  17. Of course the comics do a better job. There's more room, per se to expand on storylines, characters, etc. Movies don't have that room. When the movies do it, they've got to do in a truncated form. Books (novels, comics, etc.) in general, will always seem better in that respect. But that is because it is allowed.
  18. I don't see how your hatred or love of M7 works with this thread (Save it for a M7 opinion thread). As far as I am aware, the topic of this thread is about the missing animated gaps in the Macross timeline and why we don't see many new Macross series, not why M7 sucks. If anybody continues, I will see it as derailment and lock this thread. Now... Depends. As Creator, Supervisor/Story Concept, Mecha Design, Mechanical Specifications, Storyboard (episode 27), that is quite an involvement. Not to mention later involvement with M7 as Script writer(M7 movie), Series Script Supervisor, Ending Photography (MD7). Considering he was directing M+ (OAV and movie) at the time, this is not surprising that he handed day-to-day direction to Tetsuro Amino and Masami Shimoda. He definitely had a direct influence, but how far down the chain do we want to look? Email Egan Loo: eganloo@anime.net
  19. That just says what we've already come to (and that article is back from 1/26/2006). X4 is going to be the Wolverine spinoff....
  20. His helmet is suppose to be made of the same materials as Cerebro and from that, keeps him safe from Xaiver.
  21. It's more likely the color dye they used when they mixed the mold. Yes, it is grey. I've seen this among the Seed line of models and a few MGs. There's a blue tint to the grey that they use. I've had to correct it a few times to a proper grey. It really isn't the lighting but the dye they use. The dye is probably close to the lineart, but once they mix it in to the plastic, the color is diluted throughout the mold and ends up close but not correct. Many of the MG weapons have a blue or dark grey tint to the black parts, which I often correct to a true black color.
