  1. That is due to the fact that... http://macross.anime.net//mecha/united_nat...vf14/index.html
  2. That what we hear. A preview (read trailer) will premiere at the 25th anniversary concert on August 18th. The lead actress/new singer will also debut at the concert.
  3. The closest I can recommend is the Nokia N95. It does support 3G and Wi-Fi. I'm not sure about the browser. Unfortunately, this phone is not available through any carrier so you will have to buy it unlocked (not bad thing) which means you will be paying about $800 US.
  4. As much as I don't like integrated video cards, if the wife only needs a system for 'net/e-mail, some word processing, occasional DVD, or otherwise non-gaming or non-heavy picture or media editing, the GMA 950 (and/or perhaps the GMA X3100) is just fine. My Macbook has a GMA 950 and it has worked out for me. If I want power, I'll use my desktop which has a 8800GTS.
  5. As opposed to messing with your neighbor's settings to bridge the connection, I would just tough it out.
  6. Continued from here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=21926
  7. Yeh. It looks like they actually did gave this one proper treatment.
  8. Nope. Have you seen Eureka 7 or KISSDUM? Think more along those lines of quality.
  9. HD versions: http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=15813 And BTW....those people at ComiCon....watch out for Jokers. http://www.whysoserious.com/surveillance.aspx http://www.whysoserious.com/wannabes.aspx And for those of you who missed today's viral marketing :
  10. Grunt units!!!! and the translation on Gunota: http://aeug.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archiv...748878258062161
  11. Guess the Japanese blogger who called it got it right.
  12. The banner, buttons and some of the title bars feel a tad too dark. Any chance of making them a tad bit lighter?
  13. That was the story in 1982 back when the Gundam theme was popular. The themes for each Macross series change for each series. In M+, the theme was technology's impact on society. In M7, it was a conflict of ideology. In M0, we saw how people judge one another through initial impressions. The theme of each series changes and I expect the same out of the new series. I do not expect Kawamori to revisit any of these themes nor do I want him to. And all this talk of retcons...at this point, I've learned to just live with it. Eventually, someone is going to come along and say "I didn't like how it was done or explained, so I'm going to do it MY way." I have seen this in movies, TV shows, comics, blah blah blah. I hate it, but I've seen it done so many times, I expect someone to come along and say "F U. I'm going to do it my way. Screw what the last guy did. I like it my way and if I can do it, I will." That is what happened. That is what is going to happen. Even Kawamori will do it to himself. Why is it done? Cuz everybody has their own opinion of how it should be done and if they have the ability to do it, they will do it. When Kawamori passes the reigns to someone else for, that person will go back and say, "I want to do things my way" and make changes cuz he or she damn well can, hence a retcon. Some people will hate it. Some will like it. I really don't care cuz I know, it's going to happen.
  14. According to the Compendium, it was a A-version (prior to the "+Kai"/"+2" being slapped on to the designation). So "F-14A+Kai" or "F-14A+2" http://macross.anime.net/mecha/united_nati.../f14/index.html
  15. It certainly works, but...we saw only one instance of that chemistry and it doesn't amount to much. So unless they release a longer or different cut of the film that goes into it more, it's nothing more than speculation.
  16. We know. Onlya month away. But who are we targeting with this new series? You? Or the kids who have little or no exposure Macross in their entire life?
  17. To that, I say Kawamori doesn't seem to want to limit himself to just a few themes and I doubt we will see much to the contrary with the upcoming series.
  18. The site is being slashdotted.
  19. I'd wager against you on that. I won't even call the Nome or any Mayan bloodline completely pure. I would say it's more like genetic markers and/or traits carried in the Nome family which may be more dominant compared to everybody else in the world. It's like saying we all generate Spiritia, but only a few generate more.
  20. Conceptual Art: http://www.benprocter.com/SITEv2/HTML/PROJPAGE_Trans_01.html See how all the designs started.
  21. It could be, but we have some context issues that need to be resolved. We certainly did not have a space station called New Frontier in 1995. I'd be shocked if there actually exists a couple out there by the name of Takashi and Sakiko Hayase who had a daughter named Misa.
  22. I don't see this design change as much of an issue. Since colonization fleets are capable of producing their own fighters, those fleets could optimize or select a design for their fighters that best suits their needs. In a sense, there's no "bottle-neck" at the distribution point. Production facilities can produce based on their consumer's needs. Again, production at various locations would not stop production. New fighters would not have to be shipped to waiting fleets (except for perhaps front-line units and local governments). So again, we come back to costs. Training, maintanence, testing, etc. All the time spent just to get people to use the product prohibit its distribution.
