  1. Hmm... a Core i7 eats into half that budget. I'd probably stick with the low end i7s just to keep it under (Core i7-860 LGA 1156 or the Core i7-920 LGA 1366). 4GB of DDR3-1066 will cost you <$100 should you go with LGA 1366 while DDR3-1333 will probably cost you about $10 more should you go with LGA 1156. GIGABYTE GA-P55-UD3L LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail - $99.99, reg. 124.99. This could probably fit into your budget.
  2. You still haven't answered how much you intend to spend. If I shop around, look on Slickdeals.net; I could price a fairly cheap gaming system. It would help to have a price range. Concerning keyboards, I agree with mikeszekely, remapping keys work just fine for me. Having media keys is more than enough. And since my hand doesn't normally move away from the WASD-position, I have very little use for other extra keys. I find wireless to be a good choice for people who lack workspace. I have a wireless keyboard for a testing machine which is on a very very very small desk and it makes a great item when you lack surface area. But if you have the room, I would suggest a wired keyboard.
  3. Answering #1 and #3 would help us...a lot.
  4. What mikeszekely is saying is it's cheaper to just buy an additional 2x1GB sticks of RAM as oppose to buying 2x2GB sticks of RAM. You have the 2 GB of RAM in there already so don't bother to buy an entirely new set. Now, if you go with 4GB for your system, then you'll probably want to switch to a 64-bit OS or you will not be able to take advantage of all 4GB of RAM. The advantage of just getting the 2x1GB sticks is you can save the extra 1GB stick for later and just go with 3GB total in your system.
  5. Hulu has 'em up the day after they air now. The sad part is, there's probably a Farmville V-world out there...
  6. There shouldn't be a difference in performance. Agreed. An current G-router might be prudent if you don't have the funds. I still see a few draft-N routers on the shelves that should really go away since the N-spec was ratified in Oct. 2009. But it may be a while before those products make it to market.
  7. Saraphys, Pizza the Hutt, you guys apparently have a history so I'll advise you 2 take it to PM or leave the history on those other sites.
  8. I'm not a fanatical fan (or even a fan), but I just want Robotech to come up with its own designs and narrative instead of pulling, promoting, and fan-wanking from a bunch of near-30 year old cartoons.
  9. Kinda/sorta. The Studio Nue-ST powered armor is has more round limbs. It's probably the head since the heads look about the same.
  10. Well, kresphy already posted a Tudou link to the whole season: http://www.tudou.com/home/item_u8838687s0p1.html Now get watching.
  11. Think of it this way, you weren't meant to have ANY Macross toys (which means 1 more for the rest of us).
  12. Yes. It's currently in development.
  13. I won't look too deeply into his post. It's just trolling bait.
  14. Being heavily financed by corporations doesn't mean it wasn't a democracy. They're were probably other corporations with their own agendas considering Galaxy was a technology hub. General Galaxy covered the majority of the construction costs but it does say corporations were involved with with it's support and planning.
  15. Ummm, wasn't 1 of the 2 missions where you face Ghost was a training session and the 2nd time you face a Ghost, you're suppose to be flying a better fighter by then?
  16. So he's buttering up the childish response of "you're all stupid". I like this Azrael-guy. We're like...sooo alike.
  17. Frontier didn't feel as jumpy as Zero did. Zero could have used an extra 5-minutes/episode. The pacing of Frontier didn't really feel THAT awkward. It actually felt fairly normal.
  18. MG Wing Gundam Oh yeah and HG Gundam X Now if only they would have jumped to a MG Gundam X, then I would be giggling like a school girl.
  19. Then I suggest you retract or it's going to be just Liar rather than Lying Macross Purist. Oh, and since this project is over, there's no more use for this thread.
  20. No. HG would have no control over that. Tatsunoko, maybe. But not HG. But even then, that's a big maybe. Tatsunoko didn't file a lawsuit on Bandai Visual until months after volume 4 came out.
  21. I don't see anything about criticism in the forum rules. So I'd just call it seeing everything through rose-color glasses i.e. delete things that don't conform.
  22. Yeah, that would sound right. That would also force HG to give up the Macross trademark, which they probably don't want to give up. Now, you know you're gonna need a link/source with that info. If true.... talk about fan over-reaching. If they just kept to keeping all their works as non-commercial, that probably would have spared them some headaches. I think people should understand that Macross and anime in general is not terribly marketable and hence, not terribly profitable. Companies need to make a return investment and I just don't see that happening right now. And as we've stated many times, Macross probably isn't as profitable as people think it is.
  23. Do the enclosures have USB or Firewire connections? I would try those. That would rule out the enclosures. Be sure that the eSATA plug is also plugged into the motherboard.
  24. Well....terminology-wise, yes, that's true. Technically...no. A Core 2 Duo is a dual-core CPU. That's just Intel's name for their dual-core CPU.
  25. I expect no effect in regards to the LAM. But as you said, I do expect more anti-HG sentiment. HG will blow this off because they don't care about the old fandom.
