I think I said this in another thread about this series, but I'll say it again. The mecha reminds me a lot of the mecha from the original Dangaio OVA, which Kawamori did do some of the desings.

I'm still waiting for Bandai to do a Master Grades of the Geara Doga and Jagd Doga. The designs from CCA are among my favorite MS designs, so I'm a little disappointed that only 3 kits from this movie exist.

Talk about bringing back old memories!! I had this kit myself when I was a kid. I have no idea what happened to it, though.

It's still early in show, and I'm sure things will balance out as the show progresses. Remember, things looked pretty one-sided at the beginning of SEED as well. It's only natutral that PLANT and Zaft would wind up hating the Naturals after having one of their civilian colonies nuked by the EA. At the moment, the Naturals' hatred of the Coordinators seems quite a bit less justified than the Coordinators' hatred of the Naturals. It was an independent faction of Coordinators, not them as a whole, that forced Junius 7 out of the bebris belt in an attempt to drop it on Earth. Seems a bit extreme to me that all the Coordinators should be held responsible for what a single faction of them did. Especially considering that it was other Coordinators that tried to stop Junius 7 from falling. PLANT was even offering aid to the EA for the damage that the fragments of Junius 7. I wouldn't even be surprised if Blue Cosmos or some faction within the EA was actually behind the plan by using captured Zaft mobile suits and having its pilots claim they were supporters of Patrick Zala's ideals. Possible, but not necessarily. I don't remember any of the countries in WWII provoking Germany into invading them. In SEED it was pretty evident that most of the Coordinators murdered by Naturals were guilty of only being Coordinators. Even the first ever Coordinator, George Glenn was assassinated by a Natural. At the moment it seems that the hatred of Coordinators seems to stem from the fact that they deviate from natural evoltion.

Just like Nazi Germany, The Earth Alliance and Blue Cosmos don't deserve to win since their reasons for war against the PLANTs and Zaft is based solely on hatred and distrust of Coordinators. I don't know, I think in the end, Sai actually got the better end of the deal! I always saw Fllay as a very petty and selfish person. I fealt that Sai deserved a much better person the Fllay.

That's a pretty nice selection you got there. I have the 2nd LP pictured and wasn't even sure if there were any others. If I come across anything else, I'll be sure to post it!

As an owner of this kit, what Graham says is true. The kit has excellent detail and articulation, right down to the individually jointed fingers. Even unpainted, this kit looks good.

Actually, Macross Zero takes place in September of 2008, about 5 months before SDF Macross takes place.

Of course, I'm sure what we all really want is for the F-14 Tomcat to be replaced by the VF-1 Valkyrie! I don't think the Hornet is ugly at all. In fact, I like the design second to only the Tomcat. Well, actually maybe 3rd if you count the fictional YF-19 from Macross Plus...

The Aquarion mecha reminds me a lot of the mechanical designs that Kawamori did for the original Dangaioh OVA. I like the character designs for both shows, and that one aircraft from Eureka looks pretty cool. I'll probably check both these shows once they start airing

I can only imagine people feeling the same way when the Tomcat replaced the Phantom. We all knew the F-14 would be replaced sooner or later. As much as I love the Tomcat, I have no difficulties with them being replaced by the Hornet.

I definitely plan on getting the deluxe edition! All those goodie look rather neat!

I plan on seeing both versions! My first exposure to The War of the Worlds was the 1953 film, which happens to be one of my favorite classic science-fiction films along with Forbidden Planet. I also read the book, which I also loved and have been wanting to see a film that follows the book's storyline. The only incarnation of The War of the Worlds that I did not like was the 90s TV series. I mean come on, the Martians practically wipe out all life on Earth and only a few people remember that it even happened???

Hate me if you want, but I don't feel that Bandai actually hid anything from us. It's not like they said that nothing was being changed for the R1 release of Zeta Gundam. I can deal without the openings or closings, as it's the contents of the episodes that I bought the DVD box set. Just get over it and be happy that Zeta Gundam is being released here in the US!

Hate to tell you this, but music licenses in Japan can be a pain in the ass! There have been several instances even in Japan in which a TV series, OVA, movie, etc. has dofferent music because of licensing issues. I believe a licensing issue is one of the reasons why there was never an OST released for Gall Force 2 and 3, to use an example. I have a friend that has been buying Japanese CDs, DVDs, LDs, and VHS tapes for about 20 years or so and has run into several instances in which music was missing, so this is not a new problem. Looking at my CD single of both Zeta Gundam openings, I can see where the licensing of these 2 song could really be the problem. The CD was produced by King Records back in 1988. Gundam soundtracks have usually been produced by Victor. King Records could have easily allowed Bandai to use the songs in the Japanese domestic release, but was unwilling to grant the rights for the US release.

One of the cool things about the movie is that parts of it were filmed near where I live in NJ. So far, the movie seems to be a remake of the 1953 film directed by George Pal

I had the strangest thing happen while boarding the airship to Windurst the other day. I enter the dock to find people floating in midair where the airship should be! For some reason, the airship graphics failed to load. I was also able to board this "invisible" airship and capture some screenshots of myself floating in midair. My character: Kaelanis, level 50/25 RDM/BLM

About the only question I can answer is where he got the Sazabi from. Like Amuro's Nu-Gundam, Anaheim Electronics built the Sazabi for him.

Yes, UY is Urusei Yatsura! I didn't even notice the Misa, Minmay, Vanessa, Kim and Shammy's cameo appearance when I saw all of UY sooo many years ago.

The FAST pack in the first picture looks similar to the ones used in the Macross 2036 PC Engine game.
