  1. Bri, it's probably because upstate New York and Michigan are cold way more than they are warm. The cold climate up there just makes them a bit more grumpier than the rest of us!
  2. Does that mean that my '05 Sentra SE-R SpecV has more of a chance of becoming a classic car than an '05 Mustang?
  3. I went through the same thing, Gubaba! Glad to see that I'm not alone in the "liked original as a kid, can't watch it as an adult' camp. Buck Rogers was the same way.
  4. Not a damned thing! I work for a party store and Halloween is our busiest time of year. This means 30 days of sheer hell for me. The worst part of it is the last couple of days before Halloween when we run out of costumes and people start getting angry. It's not our fault you decided to wait until the last minute. You should not be surprised that all of the popular costumes are sold out the day before Halloween.
  5. You're getting confused there, Alastar. 12 years is the time gap between Macross 7 and Macross Frontier. DYRL is supposed to take place in 2011. In fact, the short-lived truce between the Macross and Zentraedi takes place on September 11, 2011 according to the dialog in the movie. Plus, DYRL is also supposed to be a movie within the Macross universe according to the official Macross timeline.
  6. I think I've bought almost every game system that I've ever had for a particular game. There may be a couple of exceptions. Let's see: Atari 2600 my mom bought for me. I think the first game I had for it was Defender. Sega Genesis for Shining Force II PC Engine DUO for Macross 2036 Sega CD for Lunar Super NES for Starfox Playstation for Final Fantasy VII Playstation 2 Final Fantasy X PSP I got just because I thought it was cool. XBOX 360 I totally admit to buying because I really liked Project Silpheed after playing it at a friend's place. Nintendo DS for its version of Final Fantasy III Wii for the Virtual Console games Playstation 3 i got due to the price drop and the fact that Final Fantasy XIII comes out in Japan before it does in the US.
  7. Ah, so YOU'RE Ozma Lee! One of your posts gave me a good laugh last week, I think it was. Actually, it was Pizza The Hut's post that gave me a good laugh when he called you illiterate, despite the fact that his very post contained several misspellings and numerous grammatical errors.
  8. Ah, well, it was a nice dream of having an awesome DYRL version SDF-1 while it lasted. If I win the lottery in the next couple of months, I'll buy one.
  9. Never, ever solely use model box information for stats on any anime mecha. They aren't always totall accurate.
  10. Damn, Gubaba, you beat me to the post button! To be perfectly honest, I don't hate Robotech. I think of it as a necessary evil because without it, I might not have discovered anime or the until a lot later than I did. I guess that falls under the nostalgia reason. I can't remember its name, but the best Robotech comic was a mini series about the destroids. It was only two or three issues if I recall. It was probably the only comic of the bunch that really felt like it could have easily belonged to the original version of Macross.
  11. The VF-19 kai (Fire Valkyrie) didn't have its own fold system, though. Also, the pin-point barrier system was standard on all of the VF-19s, not just the one that Basara piloted. In fact, in Macross Plus, the YF-21 also had a pin-point barrier system.
  12. This fact doesn't go unnoticed by the show itself. Yuki and Kodai are both horrified at the realization that they are now just as guilty as the Gamilas.
  13. The biggest annoyance in this game to me is the limitation to a specific airspace. I don't know how many times I've lost fights because I got caught trying to turn around at the edge of the fight area. It's really bad when you're fighting something like the AFOS or the Macross Frontier and wind up getting caught between the enemy and the airspace boundry. Granted, I know I should be paying better attention to the radar, but sometimes it just can't be helped. It wouldn't be too bad if the game kept you from going too far from the battle. If I remember correctly, that's how the Macross PS2 game worked it.
  14. I finally got the chance to read your translation, Gubaba. You did an awesome job and it was quite interesting to see a side of Minmay's life that we didn't get to see in the series. Your hard work is greatly appreciated!
  15. I don't know if this applies to all of the armors of fast packs, but type B also has a different special than the type A. I know the VF-0 with the Type A Ghost Booster has a different special attack than the VF-0 with Type A.
  16. Halley's Comet is also the only thing that's guaranteed to come.
  17. When I saw your little private message from him, I was hoping that I got one, too. I would have reported him to rt.com, not that it would actually get acted upon.
  18. The thing that made me laugh over at RT.com was that Pizza got in trouble with MEMO over something that he said to me. Why would I even care if HG actually does get a new Robotech feature released. If I get proven wrong, so what? I'm wrong more times than I'm right, so it would just be another drop in the bucket. I don't lose anything and my enjoyment of Macross won't be diminished at all. I guess I owe you an apology Seto, seeing that it's me that has apparently set Pizza off on you!
  19. I just noticed on RT.com, PTH just quoted one of my earlier posts from here. This one to be exact:
  20. I can give you two posts why. In one thread, PTH called someone illiterate. I then commented about Pizza's numerous misspellings and bad grammar in that very post that he called someone illiterate in. Then, in another thread, Pizza said that Carl Macek should rewrite Robotech: The Untold Story and have HG try to get the rights back to Megazone 23 to use with the rewritten story. In reply, I wrote that they should make their own animation for the Untold Story instead of using Megazone 23. I also said that HG should concentrate on finishing Shadow Rising (yeah, right) before trying to start something new.
  21. Not enough time. Too many things to do, not enough time to do them all. Some days I even plan on reading it, but always wind up spending too much time on something else.
  22. i hate to say it, but I still haven't had a chance to read it
  23. Eh, I'm not too worried about being banned, even though it is kind of fun being able to witness the site as it continues its downward spiral.
  24. I was surprised to see that they remade "A Nightmare On Elm Street". I hadn't heard anything about it until I saw the preview for it when I went to see "Zombieland".
